Please help ! Privacy concern about oc club
I have been dancing for 5 years around California LA OC SD but recently in 2015-2016 At 2 Orange county nude strip clubs California Girls Santa Ana & Imperial Showgirls California BOTH OF THESE CLUBS ARE CORPORATE OWNED. I have had the managers forcefully take a photograph of me upon auditioning/signing the independent contract form.
By forcefully I mean they say "oh and we need to take a photo for identification purposes so the staff knows who you are when you come in to work" and i reply NOO i dont want my photo taken. they say "oh well then u cant work here." so i take the photo but i make my face look ugly or try to make my features look abnormal silly i know but i am beyond paranoid about these things. The managers at both California girls santa ana and Imperial both told me the photo will stay in this file and no one will see it. BOTH these clubs now require social security cards. I gave them a fake social security card even though I am an america citizen I just wanted to be safe. But if its a corporate owned meaning they send all the information like my Drivers license copy ss security card, wouldnt they send my photos to the coporate office for records?? im so worried i cant even sleep because i have been scared of my photos becoming leaked.
I only danced because my husband left me I have a 3 year old daughter and am in school my family is unable to help out but now i am graduating and getting a real normal corporate job in human resource department and SCARED TO DEATH of anyone finding out I worked as a dancer.
My question is I know both of these clubs keep accurate records of girls meaning they IDS/Social security cards and they are archived in records for tax purposes but what about my photo or information being leaked? Can someone please shed light on this I will be forever greatful. If i were going into politics like city counsel 10 years from now would this ruin my chances?
Re: Please help ! Privacy concern about oc club
the regional manager at one of these clubs used her personal Ipad to take the identification photo of me. I called the corporate office and they said i dont know i haven't heard of them doing that gave me the run around. The manager at the other club said all the information is sent to the regional office and is archived to prevent future lawsuits and tax purposes but i just am so concerned about the images being leaked.
Re: Please help ! Privacy concern about oc club
I don't really think it's smart to give them fake social security cards, you are responsible for paying your taxes and no social security card would be more "off the radar" then a fake one. You realize that someone else could get audited for unclaimed income from YOUR club under YOUR name and they would come after you for identity theft and tax evasion?
Seems a lot less scary to me to have "dancer" on my record.
Them taking pictures is fucking weird, but if your so worried about whats going on with the pictures go ask them. Ask the manager if copies are made. I seriously wouldn't be loosing sleep about it though. Dancing may come with some initial judgements from people, but why do you care so much what others think? I don't walk around with a sign on my head, but I like my job and if people find out and judge me for it, they can go fuck themselves. It's a big world, it isn't really going to limit your opportunities. I think it would make your life better if you start accepting your choices, who you are and stop putting weight on anyone who would be unkind to you because of them.
Re: Please help ! Privacy concern about oc club
Just saw your update- Ohh, her Ipad? That's so weird. I still wouldn't really worry about them leaking the photos, if they did that they literally would not have any employees.
Re: Please help ! Privacy concern about oc club
Why would they leak your photos? They probably have hundreds of these photos on file for all the dancers that have ever worked there.. mine included lol I worked at Imperial a few years back. I've worked at a few others than have my photos on file too. If your getting documents for taxes and whatnot then I think a thorough background check could show that you've worked at those clubs but I'm not positive. So having all your info is worse than them having a picture of you. I'm not sure what happens with a fake SS though.. that seems pretty sketchy. If anything doesn't that draw more attention to you?
Re: Please help ! Privacy concern about oc club
Thank you guys so much for your reply honestly just being able to share this makes a world of difference to me.
The SS card is from a friend of mine who actually passed away.. You HAVE to give a SS card or you can not work at those two clubs. I have had my identity stolen and have contacted the Social Security office so there really isnt a worry about that aspect. My concern is about the photos being used online i have a very particular face so you would be able to identify me. I want to join city counsel and be involved in politics in my future and the photo would damage me but any information you ladies have about backround checks would really help ease my mind. I dont have anything on my part that has to go with IRS and dancing. These corporate clubs are the ones that keep our records for THERE tax purposes I called Caligirls santa ana and found all this out. I have never signs a W-2 or anything related to strip club so the only record would be my Driver license and Photo.

Ok, look into starting an LLC and having your money go through that. But seriously, people get busted for using deceased people's social security numbers. you can research using an LLC for tax/anonymity purposes here on stripper web. There was an AWESOME poster who was banned for some reason.

You know, I didn't really read this thru, but, privacy is pretty much a vanished/vanishing privledge..
Re: Please help ! Privacy concern about oc club
I would definitely suggest making peace with your [temporary?] job and wholeheartedly owning it if it ever comes up. It probably won't, but it definitely could. Any time an employer does a background check, it runs the risk of popping up, depending on what they're looking for, though your using an alt SSN might throw that off a little. Odds are solid your family won't find out. You are probably not big enough of a fish for someone to go through the trouble of black mailing you, and if you are, you were a single mom in a desperate situation, and you did what you had to do to provide for and take care of your family while you got by and "rose above it," if you want to take that route. You could easily warp it into a heroic rags-to-riches story. People can't blackmail you (in that way, anyway) if you have nothing to hide.
If the interview process is already finished and you're already hired, congratulations! You're most likely okay. If the corporation itself gets hacked later on, you can deal with it then the same way as above -- just own it. Tell it like it was. you have nothing to be ashamed of. It's a legal (and very popular!) profession, and your new boss probably enjoys it regularly. If something happens, something happens. Most likely, though, it won't. Don't let it keep you up at night -- enjoy the ride. You have a vanilla job you can be openly honest about with people with no fear of judgement. It's a good place to be. Relax and enjoy it. It'll all be okay. Even the worst case scenario will still be pretty okay. It's not so bad.
