SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
Don't worry...I'm not posting this link here. You can contact me directly for info.
I've been at odds with this one particular white label on SM. I find the rep is very hesitant to remove content once he's confronted. My issue is he recorded a bunch of my shows even though I had a geoblock on my account. I confronted the site about it, and was given the run around for almost a week until videos were removed.
Today, I find the videos on Porn Hub as well, under his sponsored white label. cha ching, so while we sit here in quiet 0 member chat there are videos of us on PornHub driving sign ups for these parasite assholes.
For the girls who cannot opt in for affiliate marketing nor want to be, you should be in the know if this affiliate took your videos so you can remove them on PornHub. Find your videos, and you can submit for removal. Remember to search for your model tags (milf, latina, bbw) because this piece of shit will not even credit you by using your username:)

Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
It's still so confusing to me if and how Streamate and its affiliates view 'no promotion'.
They say geoblock takes care of that here, and there they say you have to actively opt out of marketing efforts by mailing them to do so. It makes no sense the second option would even be necessary (geoblock shóuld take care of that), but in many cases it does seem to be that way.
Sorry this is happening to you...

Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
I don't understand 'white label' and 'geoblock'.
Would anyone mind explaining, if at all possible, please? =\

Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
white label - parasites that can affiliate market streamate by using models as the bait to convert signups to streamate. this process is usually unethical and disrespectful for models as they will rip an entire gold show and post the entire 10+ minute clip and put THEIR watermark on it. After they rip 5 10 minute gold shows, you ask yourself why business might be slow for you. Oh yeah, someone just viewed you for free for nearly an hour! Oh, and these white labels take this "new" video with their watermark on it and they submit it to tubesites where the entire world can view you for free...but of course the asshole who rips it gets promotion and or money. The model is lucky if they even get a mention.
What about the models who have stalkers, other jobs, custody issues with their kids? Being on a tubesite is not an option. I nearly cried reading the thread about a model losing her son because of privacy issues online. We deal with enough, we don't need parasites making this profession even harder.
I had to place geoblock on my account. Contact Support to opt out of marketing. Contact this asswipe white label MYSELF (WHY?! SM? Arent these your kids and you take 65%) to get him to give me the run around on removing my stolen video.
There is very little to none regard for privacy...so all together maybe they should stop offering it because Streamate blatantly uses everything we do and will not really go after white labels who violate.
Some will argue affiliate marketing is good...but I say look at your earnings. Like I said, when a white label takes your video and doesnt even credit you, how does that help us as models?

A white label product or service is a product or service produced by one company (in this case, Streamate) that other companies (the marketers) rebrand to make it appear as if they had made it (in this case, Pornhub). So, a customer sees your Streamate feed or a show on Pornhub under Pornhub Live or whatever, clicks it/signs up/maybe spends money, then Streamate pays the white label for directing traffic to them. At least I'm pretty sure that's how it works. If I'm wrong someone please correct me.
Geoblocking makes it so that people in whatever countries/states you have selected to block cannot see you. So like, I have the state of Oregon blocked because I'm from there and the thought of anyone I know stumbling upon me while they're tryna fap is nightmare fuel. The effectiveness of geoblock is debateable but by all means utilize it if you are trying to stay under the radar. You can access geoblock from your Streamate Performer Dashboard, it's under "Change Profile" ----> the click "Geographic Restrictions".

Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
... WHAT THE EVERLOVING FUCK?! That's ... that is so fucked up. Sooo fucking fucked up. Thank you for explaining.
And I gotcha about Geoblocking - I just hadn't seen the term put like that before. Thank you!
*grumbles* Parasitic cuntwaffles.

A white-label is a re-branding of a particular site. Streamate still "owns" the content, but the affiliate "webmaster" is responsible for pushing traffic. When he sends good paying traffic, he gets paid a percent the same as the performer. This arrangement works well because, same as performers needing to do shows, they don't get paid unless they actually bring paying clients.
Think of it as the circle of porn life - affiliate entices customer to sign up and get on the site (or to your room), you need to entice that client into a show, and Streamate needs to perform the billing and platform to make it work. Each party gets about 1/3 of the client spending when he spends. If the client doesn't spend, NOBODY makes money.
You can love or hate affiliates (I see them as necessary evil), but without them, you would be purely responsible for bringing your own traffic. If you DO bring your own traffic, Streamate gives you both the affiliate cut and the model cut (the 75% payout). Where affiliates go wrong is when they think they're doing YOU a favor or seeing themselves as better than the models. That's when they cross the line. This system is pure anarcho-capitalism, everyone makes money when everyone selfishly focuses on their part of the cycle.

Yeah, that does sound really crappy. What I think would work better is if you could 'opt-in' or 'out' to be used for affiliate marketing (if nothing for reasons like someone stated above, stalkers, abusive family, children, etc.); and also if affiliates made sure proper credit was given to the models whose videos they are using in order to bring in traffic. I think, from reading the dual perspectives I've seen here, it CAN work ... it just needs to be tweaked perhaps.

Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
Let's not be down on all affiliates and white labels. I have a Streamate white label. Part of the issue is DEFINITELY Streamate, because they give you NO guidance on what content you can and can't use to promote. I took the initiative to contact them to ask what material was okay to use (for twitter, an SEO blog etc) and they told me to log out of all my affiliate accounts and look at my own white label site, and any girls who appeared there when I was logged out were okay to use (and I quote) "their stuff". I asked if that meant their photos, etc. Got the reply "yup". If I logged in to my affiliate account I could see everyone including girls with geoblock. But *I* contacted the white label support to find this out. And to use photos I have to screencap the photos, there is no affiliate tool to be able to save or access them. So yeah, while it is shitty for the affiliates and white labels to use whatever they want, there is *NO* fucking help from SM about what is and isn't allowed. They do *NOT* make it easy for us to make our own creative and to use the hot, sexy pictures girls have to entice guys to join and spend. To be honest SM is the worst affiliate/whitelabel program I am part of and I am planning to drop it this fall because it's a waste of fucking time because it doesn't give me the tools as a webmaster to succeed. Also, if you report white labels to the affiliate program for violating stuff (in my case somehow capping an exclusive show) they don't care. I ended up contacting the tube sites it was on and saying the model was under 18 (fucking tube sites didn't believe it was me because I could not "prove where the content came from"). But yeah. Affiliates suck as much as the systems they use suck and the SM system is the shittiest.

Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
I support affiliates who really intend on driving traffic and know this biz. I just don't have any love for sleezy joe schmoes who are unethical about how they promote their white label. If the content was free chat - do it. Include the model name - be Fucking FAIR. I am thankful to get Katy on this thread bc she is amazing.
I'll hope the tubesite removes my vids ^^^

Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
When creating a white label, use it to brand yourself and direct all affiliate income to yourself, eg. Set up your domain like yourcammodelname with some kind of collective like HyoriWorld.com or HyoriLive.com in my case. Then use social media like Periscope, SnapChat, Instagram,Twitter etc., and do promotional enticement to direct your fans to sign up under your white label. Always tweet etc., when you are live and promote your white label site.
This is how you take advantage of being both webmaster and model. It really is only possible to do this with Streamate. I wouldn't knock the program at all.

Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
When it comes to PornHub itself, I've filled out the DMCA with my cam-specific name, cam email, etc., and left the other fields blank. I just leave a note that it's my content being used without my permission and in violation of the geographic restrictions I utilize through my cam site, so please remove it asap. I also link to my actual cammodels profile, to confirm my identity. PornHub has had it down in 24 hours every time I've asked.
If they don't, just contact Liz or Vanessa over at SM ([name of person you want here]@streamate.com, respectively) and they'll deal with it.
I don't argue with affiliates. They give you the run around and don't understand the fucking rules as they exist, so just make the site itself deal with it.

Thank you so much. I just submitted my DMCAs to PornHub. I hope it works this time. :) Will keep thread updated.

I used this link that you posted before and they took down my videos. I did this Sunday I think? But I just remembered from this thread. So three days maybe?

Another helpful tip is scrolling to the bottom of the page >> copy the contact email address >> attach your DIY DMCA takwdown and send to them directly.

All the video you stream through SM belongs to SM, and they own the copyright. Also, by uploading photos to SM, you give them the copyright to the photos, and they are no longer yours to use. Same for anything you write on your profile. However, just because SM owns it, that doesn't necessarily mean that they licensed the affiliate to use the content.

Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
UPDATE: ALL but 2 videos are now removed! I'm guessing the last two will be gone by this evening. Very quick support team once they receive your ticket

PH isn't so bad about getting the videos down, but it depends who posted them. Some of the white labels give me the run around every fucking time and there are a couple of videos from like my first 6 months on cam that I can't get down. I've literally gotten emails from tube sites telling me their contract with sm says they can record and post anything they want so I can fuck off. And Motherless is the fucking worst
-
Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
Legally how do sites like that even exist? I hate websites that have DMCA but dont abide by them.
Update: 2 videos still up on one of PornHub's white labels. Getting the run around from YouPorn.
-
Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
Thanks for the update, all my videos are down except for the pornhub ones fuck :(
-
Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
All of my videos are removed Jess.
for PornHub - make sure you check all their affiliates bc the sleezebag who shared our videos shared them on multiple PH platforms.
compile the list of vids and create self DMCA notices. Attach and email them to [email protected]. You can alternatively forward the list of links to Liz for removal.
i sometimes like to do my own bc I'm never sure which ones SM can do and which ones they tell you to do yourself.
if there are any models who have shown up on this affiliates network and he's shared your videos on tubesite a to promote himself, contact me if you have a geoblock or opted out of marketing.
i really don't know why SM allows this one particular affiliate to capture so many LONG videos of models and we have to do our own DMCA removals for his site. He doesn't verify the status of a models geoblock or te length of these "clips" I'm pissed he also removes our screen names from the video description completely. It's just not helpful and harmful to the models that aren't even opted in for this type of "marketing" you want a white label? Fine. But keep models off the tube sites. We rely on our cam sites to protect our privacy and we don't appreciate ASS CLOWNS sharing us on those networks without permission.
-
Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
Ps: I've made more money and have had better self driven traffic since the removal of the videos so no I don't think tese methods of putting multiple long shows on tube sites help us as models at all.
-
Re: SM White Label, Stolen Shows, & PornHub
The contract says SM can record and use your content any way they see fit. The geo block does not stop you from being used as a pop up, etc. SM will remove you from ads if you personally request. I think it's a gracious offer but they don't tell you. I found out through Stripper Web when I cammed before.
I hope you get it removed but I don't think the White Label
Has to
