What sites are viable for camming now? Traffic/earnings/audience
I understand there are dedicated threads out there but all are very dated and cultures changed around sites. I started on MFC and left for about a year and wanted to come back as a cam girl--read up on different options--but keep getting mixed signals and data from 2011. MFC seems sporadic, maybe waning, as always, Chaturbate seems the new hot thing but the audience seems even worse than MFC in terms of freeloaders and scarcity of tippers. Streamate seems completely dead. Correct me if I'm wrong of course, most models seem to split-cam to make up for lacking traffic on individual sites. Is there a gold mine around?

If there was a gold mine, I doubt girls would be spreading it about. You have to find your OWN gold mine. Sign up for some sites. Try them out. Promote yourself. Camming isn't easy money, so if you want a place where you can lie around and get rained on...head to Seattle. The weather is fiiiiiiiiine.

Yeah, you're right, kinda dumb of me to assume such. All situational and individual and circumstantial. Been out of the competitive hustle for too long. Just wanted to know what the current trends were. If sites are falling out of the loop and there's new prospects since beginner info is dated. I appreciate your honesty.

Basically it doesn't matter if the threads are dated or not
a lot of things about camming are still not shared publicly. So you've been out of the loop only way to get back in is to log on and get on and see what your own results will be.
People tend to forget this industry is hugely based on individual work ethics and results.
Basically whatever you were doing before to create success go back on the site and see if you can recreate them for yourself.

Thank you. I guess hard work and consistency is really the only consistent and underrated truth for success. Just anxious about working again and looking for shortcuts where there are none, lol. Theory and research only gets you so far :(
Re: What sites are viable for camming now? Traffic/earnings/audience
Yeah, I know peeps who make thousands a month on Flirt4Free. It's dead for me. People keep saying Streamate is dying, but it's my main breadwinner. I hear complaints about Chaturbate and MyFreeCams constantly, yet the top models there still clear six figures monthly.
It's all about establishing yourself on a site and consistent hours. If there were a short cut, trust me when I say I'd have bottled and sold that shit by now.
Good luck.
Also, an add on: the number of people who say a site is dying has neither increased nor decreased in the years I've been camming. I see old threads about different sites being dead getting revived weekly and have to laugh a bit because, for all that talk, none of them are dead yet. There will always be nay-sayers, but I'm of the opinion that camming is in it's infancy and not one foot in the grave.
Re: What sites are viable for camming now? Traffic/earnings/audience
It is not dead anywhere. Ya just gotta work smarter and have a strong brand/niche. It may be slow some days but earnings are still out there. There are so many ways to make money and to just think of camming as the only stream of income is limiting. Pick your best sites, make clips, pics, erotica, snaps, etc. Be a content producer so you have passive income. Look into splitting sites. Texting, PSO, affiliate income, YouTube, it all adds up. Find the opportunities instead of obstacles.
