Oil Custom...... Need Some Advice
Ok, so last year I did an oil show with Johnson's Magic Baby Oil and broke out in a horrendous rash that lasted 3 weeks, sent me to a dermatologist and ended up on prednisone.....ugh. I vowed never to do oil shows again. Well I got a request for a custom with oil. I'd like to know what a safe and natural alternative would be......I used products with coconut oil in it...like chapstick, but have never fully put coconut oil on my skin. I've already accepted the custom request and now I'm nervous as fuck.....how many of you ladies use coconut oil. What do you ladies use besides baby oil. I will NEVER use Baby Oil products again.

olive oil, almond oil and coconut oil all work well and i have very sensitive skin...
Re: Oil Custom...... Need Some Advice
I love coconut for most things but I find it isn't shiny enough to film so I use olive for that.
Re: Oil Custom...... Need Some Advice
Sunflower oil is awesome and doesnt get hard like coconut. Also is fairly cheap!

My skin is super sensitive and dry too. Its very angry most of the time, as I live in the desertish. I make sure to exfoliate too, as that will help your pores from getting clogged with your thicker oils.

Do a spot test, like you would with hair dye. Put a little dab on your skin and leave it there for 5-10 minutes and see what happens. I hear a lot of people use olive oil with no issues.

I've had reactions to Johnsons baby oil too, but have found that plain mineral oil work fine. I'm guessing the fragrance is what bothered me. Some people have reactions to plain mineral oil, but it's not the most common thing, so if you want to try again I'd suggest buying plain mineral oil. The kind I get is by Wood River; it's food grade and meant for wood cutting boards. Mineral oil doesn't clog your pores; it just sits on top of the skin and therefore also makes a kickass makeup remover/oil cleanser.

unrefined coconut oil is my go to, i also use olive oil. Honestly, I would try any vegetable oil (canola, etc) they tend to be more sensitive skin friendly than petrolatum.
