subscription vs pay per item
Which do you find sells better subscriptions or pay per item ie videos and pics, panties etc? I only really want to offer one subscription which is for snapchat, instagram and regular email updates and everything else i want as pay per item. Looking further into sorting my own site out with the information of some great ladies here i can do the pay per item bit im struggling with the subscription side. I have had a good look into model centro and i feel it is stupid mlney for what it is and what you have to pay for and that if you want to do something basic like change the name of a page you have to submit a query the the developers say if it can be done or not, so no freedom really.
So subscriptions vs pay per items. Thoughys please
Re: subscription vs pay per item
Subscription of course. Because they will pay you month after month (or even yearly). Your members only get your newest items and at the best prices. most likely you pay per item one time - so they'd be a bit more expensive in price because they're not members who pay monthly.
Think like Amazon. They offer benefits for members who pay yearly fee such as faster and free shipping shipping, streaming video and audio, cloud storage, etc. Their shoppers who aren't members can order the same but shipping may take longer and costlier if they don't spend within a higher minimum order.
Memberships and subscriptions are definitely the way to go. You may not want to eliminate pay per items but charge more for those to give incentive for your fans to become subscribers / members.
Re: subscription vs pay per item
for me pay per item. i never had any success with subscriptions, instead i sell very good my pay per goodie or show.
Re: subscription vs pay per item
lol we are not amazon. Amazon also lose a lot of money, if item does not work you return it for free too. If you have a subscription site, they will steal all your stuff and upload it elsewhere and make a chargeback.
YOu can ofc sell per item and have a site like modelcentro, if you have so much energy n imagenation to comeup with so many updates.
Re: subscription vs pay per item
Definitely pay per item. For me it makes way more money. When I had a subscription site I barely sold any memberships, and of those many were short or cancelled. A video or panties sold singly though I can get far more from and they have to keep coming back if they want more. No idea why people even use subscription any more, things areasier almost guaranteed to be ripped :/

Lol, yeah from what I understand Amazon makes more money selling prime than selling items. Plus Subscription / membership model works for online business but perhaps from what you ladies mention, that's not the case with adult / camming. Piracy is a huge issue with digital content. So there would need to be resources to at least prevent it as much as possible.
I knew model centro had that capability but not all the way familiar with how it works though.
Re: subscription vs pay per item
Thanks ladies so pay per utem it is. I will push the snapchat subscription and add additionals if there is a demand for it.
Re: subscription vs pay per item
i have a modelcentro site and since i started using my site i never sold a subscription, instead i have guys buying shows there and asking to buy my content individually. I prefer 1000 times like this than selling subscriptions.

it works but not for adult digital content or music, even books.
Re: subscription vs pay per item
Well I have a subscription to prime, kindle unlimited, and spotify... but because it's cheaper for me. Paying $10 a month for Kindle or Spotify (tons of free or discount books, access to tons of music) is less than paying for one book a month and one CD a month.
So the idea behind having a membership site is that they can access your content in bulk for cheaper. This is why people will go for it, unless they are just an awesome fan and want to show you support.
I find things like snapchat and kik to be the opposite, though. It's reoccurring work you have to do, and having to resubscribe each week, month, year, is more expensive for a fan, and more income for you. For me though, I had more sales when I changed my snap to a one time price than when I had it as a subscription. I also like not having to keep up with when everyone's subscription is expired on snap. My kik is also set up for a one time price (and it's just for talking, barely any pics, barely any sexting), but I AM going to change that to subscription because for me chatting is so much more intensive than snapping some pictures.
Re: subscription vs pay per item
For your needs Manyvids seems to be something you should check out..
I sell videos on C4s, manyvids & freeones, but have way more sales on my modelcentro site as subscriptions.
Chargebacks are apart of every business. Unlike when cam companies did it to us, MC we know exactly who did the charge back. Also you can click a button & switch all videos to streaming only & NOT downloadable which does cut down greatly for stolen content.
As a content producer, like all the others it is your job to find stolen content & DMCA it. In all commerce charge backs, returns & theft is apart of that world, no matter what industry.
