Knowing You're Worth the Money
Hi girls,
Just wanted to share a psychological tip that’s been working for me this week.
A lot of times at work I’m afraid to push VIP rooms because I know they are expensive and I figure, “Who would want to spend that much money just to talk for a little and get a dance.” Then when I do manage to get a VIP room I won’t ask for a tip at the end because I’ll feel guilty. Like, I already made 300 dollars for a half hour, why would I ask for more? That’s being greedy.
I was kind of getting down on myself because I haven’t been making as much money as the other girls at my club, but then a friend at work who consistently banks, (like $1000 is a slow night for her) said somethingthat really clicked with me. She said, “Don’t be afraid to charge what you’re worth. You have to remember these men wouldn’t even be able to speak to you outside of here.”
Wait, what? Like I had never even thought of that before. I have been in a committed relationship for years. If anyone even tried to hit on me anywhere I would stop them in their tracks. There would be zero chance of conversation or contact. Even if I was single I would never give a customer a shot. So customers are not only paying for my looks, my dances, my conversation, but they are paying for my attention which would otherwise not be available anywhere else or for free.
This is what makes me valuable. I am unattainable.
I went to work all week with this attitude, taking sometime before I headed out on the floor to remind myself that I am worth the high prices, I am worth the tip, I am valuable, and unattainable anywhere else. On weekdays I’m used to only making around $300. After adapting this new attitude, on Monday I left with $763, Tuesday I left with $815, and Wednesday I left with $1153!!! So needless to say I believe thinking like this is working.
So if you’re like me and you have trouble pushing for VIPs or asking for tips just remember:
There is a 0% chance he would get to talk to you outside the club.
There is a 0% chance he would get to see you topless (or naked) outside the club.
There is a 0% chance he would get to have you gyrating onhis lap outside the club.
This is why you are worth the high price.
Hope this helps,
XO

Great advice! Thank you for the inspiration! I'm the same way I feel bad charging so much but you are absolutely right!
Re: Knowing You're Worth the Money
And the worst he can say is no. Always ask for more than you think he will give you!
Re: Knowing You're Worth the Money

Thanks, I will remember and use this!
Re: Knowing You're Worth the Money
This is great. I had an epiphany like this today- it's sad how many girls feel unworthy. We waste our youth fussing about stupid shit, too worried about minor slip ups and caring way too much. More importantly, putting in wayyy too much effort.
I think about all the guys I ignore on a daily basis in my civilian life. All the dudes who I have to shoot down just to stay sane. I'm sure most of you ladies can relate. Why, then, should I go from being a desirable goddess in the street, to an anxious shy girl in the club? It literally makes NO sense yet that's what I have been doing.
I am the girl that you can never have. I am the girl who will flat out ignore you OTC. You know that and that's why you're here. I deserve more money than you could ever give me. Is this conceited? So what if it is? Shy girls don't make money! I would know. Finally, after years of feeling down, I am understanding my infinite worth. All girls should believe this.

You are SO right and this is just the reminder I needed!!! Thank you :)
Re: Knowing You're Worth the Money
I'm a bit late but I really appreciated this post! I am quite new to dancing and I haven't sold a VIP yet and part of the reason is that I have a hard time figuring if I'm really worth it...BUT I AM! I know that when I go into work tomorrow I will get a VIP! Thanks for this :)

Re: Knowing You're Worth the Money
So simple, but it really is worth mentioning! It's so easy to forget that you're worth it.

Re: Knowing You're Worth the Money
This is from a funny discussion about how (because of HUMAN NATURE) people can't give away nice things for free-
Jeff Foxworthy has a joke about how he put a couch on the curb with a sign that said "free" and it sat there for two weeks. So he changed the sign to say "$200" and it was stolen within 20 minutes.
My aunt put out a nice dresser. Some asshole kids came and just smashed it on the lawn. From then my theory is to just put a $5 sign on it to make people want to steal it.
I took from this that 1) the customer wants to believe he's getting something for his money and 2) guys like the mental seduction of the strip club as much as they like the sights, feelings and smells.
