Computer Temperature High When Camming
Hi all,
I need a bit of advice. Just build a new PC, and everything is running great..aside from the fact that I'm pushing 90 degrees Celsius + when I'm streaming. Based on a bit of knowledge, I'm pretty sure this is a problem. It's ONLY when I cam. Thermal paste is on the CPU and there are three fans inside the build. Any advice? >.> I really don't want to fry anything..
When I'm not streaming, the temperature is a steady 42 C.
It is an intel i5-6600, 16GB ram, and a TB harddrive. No added graphics card.

No matter what you do to your CPU, it won't go over 40c, and will idle around 25-30...and its almost completely silent (the fans that are included barely have to work). It looks intimidating but its very easy to install, just find the model in that series that your case has room for.

You have great taste in water coolers, bb.

When my laptop starts to get hot, I just unplug my laptop charger from the wall. Lol. I don't even know if that really does anything. It's just something I've been doing out of habit.

Thank you all for the replies - I'm gonna try deleting this thread (no idea how to. lol)
My heatsink was a bit dislodged and I reassembled it. Intel stock fans DO NOT STAY -_- But, I'm getting a beautiful 23C idle reading, and a 30C when i'm working this computer.
I'll forever thank WHATEVER made me check the temperature when I put my stream on. Almost left it running for a 5 hour sleep voyeur! I might've woken up to a dead computer!
Re: Computer Temperature High When Camming
Instead of the Corsair h100i I suggest you take a look at the Corsair H80i as the one linked by Boelyn may not fit all cases.
Also, double check the thermal paste you've applied in the CPU.

not a dead computer it will shut off . my desktop has been doing this too so i mainly use my laptop right now when the temp gets high it starts to run really slow to the point its not worth using it anymore as i shut it off myslef. as far as i know all computers have a fail safe built into the bois that shuts off the computer when it hits 100 celcuis at least mine does when all 4 cores hit 100 it will shut off

With that case, you probably won't need to get too creative with the radiator placement, it looks like it has room for the normal H100i or GTX (depending on processor).
