When to approach a customer (timing)
I understand from experience that the timing of when you approach a customer can make or break a deal. The club has been super slow. We have way more girls than customers most nights. Today was aggravating because the girls were jumping on the guy before the bartender got their drink. I like to give the customer at least 5 minutes to settle in, but today this failed. >:( I saw two tactics that used today: 1) approach customer within 3 minutes of walking through entrance (literally timed it) 2) sit at the bar alone until someone sits near and then just pretend that you just happen to strike up a conversation. :O Just to further illustrate this scenario the stage bar has 20 seats 14 of them are filled with dancers. 2 customers in seats that just walked in. Plus it continues with this exact scenario all night with a maximum of 5 customers in the club! By the way this is a room based club meaning most money is made from vip rooms and lap dances here and there. Its just so frustrating lately! I mean the money has been so random. Last 4 days I worked: 300, 140, 750, and then 80! I understand people say "take the average weekly or monthly", but damn is it frustrating. Also note I go in every time I work with the A game on 100%. It kills me when I show up on time and make up, hair, nails done, and some ratchet ass hoe that didn't even brush her teeth comes in late and land the only customer by doing things that I would never do like approach as they walk in the door or look bored. Ugh Rant. Thoughts? Ideas? Comparable stories? When or how do you time your hustle in a slow situation? :-X

Shiiiiiit if its slow and hella girls this calls for aggressive tactics ---- I literally stalk the waitress. I will walk right behind her a$$ and as soon as she sits that drink down on the table, I'm right there, sitting down with the guy lol!
The rule at the club here is wait till the dude has a drink.
Re: When to approach a customer (timing)
You can still approach a customer right away without seeming overly aggressive. I had a customer recently sit down at the bar next to me and I introduced myself. He immediately said he just got there and needed a drink but I said that's fine I just ordered food I just wanted to say hello. He ended up waiting for me to finish eating in the dressing room and got a vip afterwards.
So if you come up to them right when they get there just act friendly and nonchalant. I think customers find this refreshing and it makes them remember you even if they aren't ready to spend right away. But when it's slow with a million aggressive girls you can't wait for the customer to order a drink and get settled or another girl will swoop in before you.

This right here.

i definately say hello asap! Soon as I see them seated I bend over and smile (don't sit right away because it lets them think you're giving them a minute) usually along the lines of "Hi, I know you just got in, I'm not here to harass you (wink$ but I wanted to say welcome and introduce myself, I'm Lana" and it will either go one of two ways 1. Oh you're not bothering me blah blah and i sit or 2. Oh okay thanks and i follow up with "settle in, kick your feet up and I'll check on you soon so we can have some fun" this allows them to breath but also already sets you ahead by being on first name basis and putting in his head you WILL BE BACK AND YOU WILL BE Having FUN. Be sure to only give him 5 minutes and remember his name, and just plop back down like he came looking for you.
This is very effective for me on slow nights when we have a lot of girls, hope it helps you!(;
