How do you show proof of income?
I wanted to buy a used car from a dealer but, I'm not sure how to go about showing proof of income ...as for me I just get direct deposit. I've never done this before because in the past I would just buy from a person and pay cash. I don't have check stubs or anything to show. How do I get around this?
Re: How do you show proof of income?
Tax Return? Your annual accounts.
Re: How do you show proof of income?
Last year I didn't make enough from camming to get a 1099 sent to me. I wasn't really the breadwinner in my household last year so that wouldn't really work I would think :( Plus for my old vanilla jobs I had pay cards so no records of it in my bank account.
Re: How do you show proof of income?
Most places want 3-6 months of solid bank statements as proof of income, that has always worked for me.

Here in the UK even if you don't reach the tax threshold you still need to file your accounts. Both will be proof of income.

If you're the 'Head Hoe' they want to see your 1099 or bank statements! Some places don't even ask you to verify income it just depends on the landlord.
I find that most upscale places tend to not ask for income verification but more strict on background check. If you're renting in a rough area, they do want you to verify income.

Head hoe lol but this isn't about finding a place more so what I show at the used car dealership. :) I'm thinking that my bank statement should be fine after talking to a friend about the place I'm interested in buying from. Thanks everyone with their suggestions!
Re: How do you show proof of income?
I just bought a car. They care that u have a job for the repayment plan more so than how much $$$ u make on paper. It helps to have down payment $$$ if u can't prove a lot on paper. the algorithm the dealers work with are calculating the amount u finance VS what you make VS credit score and history.
Bank statements are better than checks from contractors IMO. 1099s raise so many eyebrows in finance from my personal experience. The question of "well how do we know this is consistent $$$?" Always disqualifies me if I use 1099s. Taxes and bank statements are more reliable.

What did you put down as your job title? I was thinking internet marketer or concultant. Do you think they would have an issue with that?
Re: How do you show proof of income?
Your credit and pay online (at least 6 months worth) from payoneer which is under ICF Tech. is 'considered' a High-Definition Live 'Streaming Solutions" company which can always give/help a cam girl take on another title like doing customer service work/ credit card predecessor/etc. for them. The dealer will see it online as you wait in the show room, then will go over it with the General Manager of the dealership to access a steady pay/ weekly or biweekly. based on the amt. of the vehicle...for example, lets say you make a steady of maybe 5-600 weekly, and the vehicle is about 18-19 grand. Try to get the dealer down to about 224 or lower. Haggle haggle haggle! (my personal style). That should be a doable amt showing on your online/ paycheck from Payoneer to a provability includ. a nice credit score for winning an approval w/ their fiance company. But there are other options as well, and this is just one. So keep on reading other thread experiences and see which one fits best.
Re: How do you show proof of income?
Sorry I didn't read your post just the title. I'm so preoccupied with looking for a new rental so I assumed you were too.

Re: How do you show proof of income?
For an Indy contractor they like previous years tax return or copies of your bank statements showing regular deposits from your "employer". It's a lot more difficult if you are Indy if you don't own an actual business.
I had just been hired with a vanilla company but hadn't started and I walked into a dealership and ordered my muscle car with no income of my own. I had two trade ins and ordered my car from the factory with the specs I wanted. All they did was contact my new employer and confirmed I'd be starting and my husband co signed. If you have a co signer, especially a spouse with a job and good credit they will give you anything if your credit is at least good.
The people who care are the finance companies, not the dealership. The sales agent wants to sell you anything as they get paid for the sale. If your car gets repossessed in six months they lose nothing as long as it's not "dealer financed" and so a good sales agent is your friend. If you are honest about what you can afford they will get you a car.
An actual dealership will work with you well. They have seen and heard all. They are motivated to sell and will pull all strings to get you a vehicle as long as you can prove you have the money. Just be honest about your finances, say you are a cs agent for iCF and process payments on the cloud and get paid via payoneer. ICF is streamate. Thy don't know and won't care. I am strongly advising to use a real dealership. The fancy places! Don't go to a used car place and don't find one who offers bad credit loans. They all can finance damn near anybody and a dealership typically will sell you a more reliable car if used is your route. Their reputation and the ability to attach a name to their business is in jeopardy if they are shady. Look for one who sells new and pre owned cars and one with multiple licenses and multiple signs for different brands on their lot.
Re: How do you show proof of income?
This won't work for the OP, since her 2015 income was minimal, but a solid income on a tax return with Schedule C (which is what most of us should be filing) trumps pretty much any other form of verification. This is especially true if you have a lot of income streams, because no one wants to dig through your bank statement looking at a ton of smaller payments from a bunch of different sources. On your tax return, it's clean and simple.
If you had solid income on your most recent tax return, that's always a good way to verify stuff. For buying a house, they will most likely want two years' worth of tax returns showing good income.
Re: How do you show proof of income?
I have no idea , but just recently I leased a Nissan Maxima.. they didn't even verify my income..lol.. Maybe cuz of my credit report and I own a home? I thought it was very bizarre.. my point is maybe try a Nissan Dealership?..lol.. I was told to go there after visiting the Mercedes dealership because they said Nissan finances anyone!.. I was having trouble because I had not financed a car in a long time for the amount of the car I was wanting to get..
