How not to get stressed when your not making money at work
Hey ladies lately Ive been getting really frustrated when Im at work and everyone I talk to turns me down. I end up running out of confidence and getting annoyed and falling down into a bad serial and can never seem to get back on track. Anyone have any helpful tips for this thanks ladies!
Re: How not to get stressed when your not making money at work
I'll tell you the number one key to not getting stressed and frustrated at work, but you're not going to like the solution. The answer is to be happy anyway, because happiness is absolutely a choice. Linking other peoples approval to you will never make you happy. Neither will making a 1000 dollars every single night make you happy. It may in the short term, but long term even millionaires suffer from depression and other negative emotions. Choose to be upbeat and positive. Think about all the good things you want, and let go of feelings that make you feel bad. Infinite patience brings immediate results, so just keep your energy level up and keep on going!

Well sometimes it has nothing to do with you. You can be the happiest, upbeat, sexiest, most gorgeous stripper and customers won't spend because they are broke idiots. However, I've noticed I make the most money and attract the most customers when I've had a good night sleep, worked out, eat well, and arrive without anxiety or worry. When I come in tired, bloated, hungry or feeling fat, or arrive late so I'm anxious, I make so much less money, which leads to even more frustration. My suggestion is to try to come to work in the best mindset.

" A few shifts ago I had good nights, did I suddenly get uglier since then?? No". That usually helps me. Another thing is retreating to,the DR for a change of outfit/hair and a breather. Collect yourself and put on smthgs fresh and go out there again like you haven't been turned down. do smthg that makes you feel beautiful.Remember that there is no one girl for every guy out there, literally no such thing.
Re: How not to get stressed when your not making money at work
Keep reminding yourself that it only takes one customer sometimes for you to have an amazing night. Imagine a customer coming in and spending all of his money on you. I also just tell myself that I have more of a chance of making money here in the club than at home on the couch. & If you have a bad shift there's always tomorrow.
Re: How not to get stressed when your not making money at work
It's not too helpful in the right here and now, but I like to have enough funds on hand that I have my rent, bills, and preferably general expenses covered at least a month in advance. That way, when I go in, I can go in with the mindset of "anything I make tonight is a really awesome lump of bonus spending cash. I don't actually need to be here tonight. Tonight is totally optional for me, and I can leave whenever I want. Anything I make is good."
I've noticed that when I feel strapped for cash, like I *need* to be there that night, whether I want to be or not, and more, I *need* to make XXX, it freaks me out and I spiral. It makes it so I don't want to talk to anyone, or even if I do, after the first few rejections/minutes of the club being dead, I spiral harder and just want to sit in the back for the rest of the night. Don't want to leave, because I need money, but don't want to hustle, because, well. The longer I spend in the back, the more I freak out... and so it goes.
If I treat every dance sale as a solid win and a bonus, though, I'm a lot happier. It's just a matter of breathing and relaxing and taking it easy for me. Reminding myself that I'm okay, and I don't actually need anything right now. Granted, if I didn't go in at all for the rest of the month, I might be in a spot of trouble, but that's why I don't do that. If I only leave with $100, I don't have to worry, because I have two months before I need to have rent ready, and look, I've already made $100 of it. It helps me stay a lot more positive, and productive as a result. Because I'm not dealing with potential burn out, or residual negativity from having a crappy night, it means I can keep going in, keep chasing that "bonus cash." Of course I always try and shoot for 300 minimum anyways, even when I'm all zen about it, but I don't have that set as a hard goal so I start to get pissed when it looks like I'm not even going to get close to that number. I try to stay grateful for everything I earn. Even if I only sell a handful of dances that day and don't make a single tip, it's more than I'd make in a vanilla job, and it's more than I came in with, so I try and stay focused on the positive.

Yes! Having savings in the bank really helps your work mojo! It makes me feel like a boss to say, I dont need to Dell any dances, but I want to make money from a respectful generous guy tonight;)
Also, it has helped me to focus on talking to the people who are smiling and engaged (regardless of their age or if they're clothes are nice). I use the law of attraction to try to get them to ask me for a dance within three songs- I make a lot of coy eye contact and draw attention to my assets...if the vibe of the customer is bad (negging, complaining) I simply walk away after saying, it was nice to meet you, I hope you can relax and enjoy yourself tonight you seem a bit tense... Sometimes thèse customers will approche me later.
This is a method I have honed in order to stay positive on the job and treat myself with dignity.
I don't always bank, but I am a top earner and my coworkers (dancers and staff) have all made comments to me about my hustle, it's not the best I've ever seen, I worked with one girl who never let anyone say no!?! But it's the best for me.

This ^ Not living paycheck to paycheck is everything. It's a huge difference in going to work because you want more money vs you have to because you have bills to pay.
My friends and I call your situation "the downward spiral", once you're in it you're in it. Just hang on and let it ride out. The thing with "the downward spiral" is that you might start panicking, you're losing money and confidence. Try not to because the customers can smell your desperation. Try and go in with a "I don't give a shit attitude", instead of running up to customers sit within their peripheral vision and be a little mysterious and they'll start coming to you. If that doesn't work and you don't have any regulars to rely on (if you don't - start building girl!) either do something drastic like changing from blonde to black or change club (doesn't have to be forever, just until you get your mojo back).
I don't know how long you've been dancing but the downward spiral happens to all of us sooner or later, the girl who disagrees 1, hasn't been in the business long enough to know 2, is a liar.
Re: How not to get stressed when your not making money at work
1 of 2 things might help:
1) Take a break and 'reset'. If your club allows split shifts, put on your street clothes and go get a coffee or something. Get out of the building for an hour. Don't change gears too much (don't go to the mall or something!), but being out of the club for a bit can help a lot.... plus by the time you come back there will likely be new customers who aren't aware of any negative vibes you may have given off earlier.
2) Just keep swimming. Seriously, even if you get rejected 5 times in a row... each customer is new and a 50/50 shot. Just because you've gotten rejected the last hour doesn't mean anything. Get enough lines in the water and a fish will eventually bite.
2.5) I like to remind myself "You've been dancing full-time for 2.5 years... not once has a bill ever been late... chill."
I also like to remind myself about how many shifts I've had nothing for the first 3 hours and then made it all in the last 2. Also, how often I've been $100 from goal and the guy I approached in literally the last 10 minutes of my shift ended up spending that amount or more.
If you have to write this stuff on a sticky in your locker, do it. Don't panic. The money will come :)
Re: How not to get stressed when your not making money at work
Number one key is to not let the bullshit affect you. It's a trap to even let it overtake your mind. Remember that all that matters is YOU and your money. Don't focus on the customers turning you down, other dancers, the amount of other dancers, etc. Allowing external things which you cannot control to overtake you is counterproductive and toxic.
Re: How not to get stressed when your not making money at work
All of the above advice nails it, but I'd like to add a helpful tidbit: Some of the best spending customers I have ever had has been towards the end of my shift when I didn't make much. Had I allowed myself to fall into the downward spiral and have given up, I wouldn't have made bank. Point is, you never know when that good customer will come, and he WILL come even if it's not right away.

this is so true! i tend to give up towards the end of the shift but especially on weekends that's when you can make a ton of money. try to be the last to leave when all the other girls have given up.

This is true. Just relax and believe that money is coming to you. It helps.
