Was it bad for you when you first started escorting?
I've never escorted before but I decided I want to try. im a trans woman btw, i know it can be kinda different for cis girls vs trans girls. well i made a website, posted on backpage, posted on eros for the city im visiting. i put my ads up for a trip a week and a half in advance. i have very, very reasonable rates especially for being young slim and white. i dont have reviews so i thought i may as well start low (200/h 150/hh). well ive gotten lots of calls and texts and ill return the calls and tell the guys about my screening process (first name, current pic, provider reference) and than never hear from them... some other guys ive gotten ive looked up there numbers and have found other escorts have said that they were dangerous, tried to rape them, etc. why am i getting like NO serious bookings?? its been 2 days since i put my backpage ad up, 1 day since i put my eros ad up. this is really frustrating.

it takes time to get ur first client if u are not being pointed up by a friend or another client. dont get frustrated as things will start to flow once uve got ur first client. btw, the first time i escorted, i cried for a week, i hated it, but after few months i got more used to it and in the end was like a normal job. good luck.

thank you. i hope it will pick up, i dont really want to have spent that $125 ad for nothing. weirdly enough i get more traffic from backpage than eros i think. ive gotten like at least 10 calls and 15 texts from guys but either they same really shady, are blacklisted on phone number sites, or doesnt want to screen or just blows me off. its just weird, i expected to get at least one legit client from the sheer volume of people i have contacting me. maybe im more strict than the other ts girls, but im terrified of being arrested. id rather book low volume than do anything that gives me anxiety
Re: Was it bad for you when you first started escorting?
My first time went pretty well. I had some help getting clients so that helped. But once I got that first meeting out of the way I felt more comfortable each time.
Re: Was it bad for you when you first started escorting?
Backpage is dangerous IMO. I know some ladies enjoy advertising there but all I attracted was guys who refused to be involved in screening protocol, obvious LE, and cheap asses haggling my $150-200 dollar rate for everything included when I was a cute, white, 21 yr old fit female. I never saw a guy on backpage because of it. Eros can be shady depending on the state but incredibly lucrative in another state. Where do you live?

Backpage is only dangerous for girls who have absolutely no clue what you're doing.

Give it some time but please stop assuming that your white privilege will have you paid. That's entitlement and as you can see it hasn't gotten you paid, yet.

it did end up getting me paid fyi :) i dont make the rules of society, i just live in it and take what i can get from it. crazy 3 years.
Re: Was it bad for you when you first started escorting?
Congratulations!!! I was in a mood 3 yrs ago, fyi. I no longer care and think everyone should use their privileges. What I should be said was they were probably freaked out that you asked for a current pic, lol. Good luck!

Haha I was too no worries, I worded my statement above pretty ignorantly. It's funny looking back through the posts and seeing how different our lives were!

No matter what job, working indie is slow at first and gets better.
Re: Was it bad for you when you first started escorting?
When I started off, I started off w/ a booker doing higher tier fbsm & was busier with the booker off backpage. However, I still wasn't happy with fbsm money & needed more -especially after Fosta/Sesta. So I went FSSW -but then i realized that my booker wasn't screening properly. I switched to an assistant & she raised my rates (bad idea for my area w/ no reviews) & everything died on me. So I went on my own & lowered my rates to just plain old mid tier -now I'm pretty consistent for the most part & content at least. I would be happier if I could get more multi hour dates again, but everything in good time
Re: Was it bad for you when you first started escorting?
what's considered mid tier?

That depends on your geographic location completely. I'm in Nola -so whats midtier here ($300-$350) would prob be incredibly low end in New York or Cali. Whats mid tier here could also be suuuuper pricey in a place like Alabama or parts of Florida, etc
