Selling overpriced champagne rooms at a topless only club
Hi everyone, so I just started working at a very high end gentleman's club in california, switching over from a somewhat lower tier club. They're both topless clubs with technically the same laws, i.e no toplessness ANYWHERE except 2nd song main stage, but for some reason selling rooms was sooo much easier at my old club. My old club was my very first time dancing so I actually did end up in uncomfortable situations in the rooms a few times but there were also times that were just super fun and enjoyable! However from what i've learned there i am not willing to lead a guy on thinking he's going to get to do things with me in there that i won't be comfortable with, it is not worth it to me makes me feel dirty and used and makes me hate a job that i otherwise really love. Also, old club sometimes I would double up with girls and we'd have a 4-way party in a room, it worked like a charm! But here they go "wouldn't that be awkward." like uhhhhhh no it'd be super fun lol
The thing is, my new club is 10x more strict (they won't let you straddle a guy even in VIP dances) and the rooms are $50 more. $375 for a half hour during the day, $400 at night. $600+ for an hour. And the price goes up if paid with a card. PLUS at night a guy has to pay a $10 cover charge to even go upstairs to VIP. It's a fucking rip off! But I do see girls getting rooms so I know it's possible. So far I've worked there almost 2 weeks and only sold 1 room. All the other chances I got to sell a room, the guys kept asking me how naughty I would get in there and all the stuff that could happen. I'm NOT down to do extras at all, and I don't want to get in trouble with my club. Maybe I'll take my top off for them in there but that's probably it. I always say "it's a place where we have full privacy and can get more intimate, we can do whatever we want in there, it's a lot of fun :)" Then they 100% of the time hound me for specifics, like what are you going to do how far will we go. I say "we can touch each other all over, I'll give you a sensual massage and we can talk more about our favorite positions, i'll take good care of you and show you a good time, or I can keep on dancing just for you..." stuff like that. then they keep insinuating they want to fuck or something in there and i get slightly annoyed but still in my hustle and go "look its not a prostitution room, but trust me you're going to have an unforgettable experience." or something along those lines lol. and then they usually say "as beautiful as you are, you're totally worth it, i just can't justify spending that much cash." orrr something along those lines. :/
So I'm just asking for hustle tips in this situation if anyone has them :) i have no problem selling dances but you can only dance so damn much! Rooms are obviously where it's at and I'd like to preserve my energy and capitalize on my time in the club by being more of a room-girl.
Thanks everyone! If anyone has questions for me i'm happy to answer. love y'all
Re: Selling overpriced champagne rooms at a topless only club
The number one thing to do is not think of the rooms as overpriced. Getting your full and undivided attention for an entire half hour-hour+ is a bargain at any price. If you have the idea in your head that the rooms are too much, it will unconsciously hurt your sales.
When making sales in a no contact club, you really have to switch to a sensual, less is more sale. I try not to mention anything about what will happen during the dance, just leave it at "only one way to find out/it's way more fun to just show you" or similar. Guys who push for detail about an extras menu were never a sale in the first place, so if lines like 'far enough for a good time..." etc don't work I'll just excuse myself and move along. If your club is clean and the rules are fairly similar in the area, they're playing dumb and wasting your time.

My advice: change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change.
These guys can tell that you don't think the vip room is really worth it, because where you came from , you could be topless, straddle and it was a better deal.
You're more comfortable selling when there's more 'value'.
This way of thinking will keep you from making big money.
Instead, sell vips like it's no big deal. Like its as easy as choosing between two candy bars. It's 800 for the hour or 1025 on the card. (Avoid saying one thousand twenty-five. Thousand is an ugly word. Instead say ten twenty-five). They're getting personal time with you! You would never give them the time of day outside the club! The strip club fantasy is why they are there.
Practice saying this at home in front of the mirror. Watch your facial expressions and body language. Humans can read facial expressions in less than a millisecond. If what you are saying is not congruent to what your body language and subconscious thinks, the customers will see you as inauthentic. If your mind keeps saying "geeze, it was so much easier to sell rooms at my old club because they actually got to see my tits" but your mouth says "let's go to vip for 600!"... people are going to sense something is off, and reject your offer in order to protect themselves. Success and sales are entirely in your mind. Reprogram your thinking, cause hey, the old way wasn't working.

Thank you ladies for your advice so far. I mostly meant it's a rip off because of the amount the girl actually gets out of the room sale and how much goes to the club, but you are right that is not a conducive way of thought either.

I was actually going to say this exact same thing as soon as I saw the title of this thread, if the rooms are that much money people are paying that much. Honestly, they are not overpriced or a rip off IMO- I have worked at clubs where rooms can be in the tens of thousands of dollars.

OMG! I think I might work at your club. If not, it's exactly the same. Either way, thank you for posting this question!
ETA sold 2 half hour sessions! I tried the HH tip where you list out the options, "$20 little dance just out here, 2/60 over there *point*, 3/100 up there where it's way more private *point*, or, we could spend a whole half hour, just the two of us, and you get me all to yourself if you've got the time..." (They sure as shit have the time, but maybe not the money lol)
I've been getting more positive responses this way rather than either pushing for VIP on its own or saying the cost. They go "I'm really tempted actually..." and then settle for one of the two middle options. One guy changed his mind after my dances.
It comes off as a softer hustle but puts it out there as an appealing option nonetheless.

I do a similar thing at my club. We have a 1/$30, 2/$50, half hour champagne for $300, and full hour for $500. I usually don't even tell them about the 1/$30. When I sell them on a dance I tell them " well let me make sure you know all of your options so you make the best choice for you..."then do the same thing you do. Helps me sell a lot of rooms, low pressure and acting like the rooms aren't a big deal/a lot of money gets them to do it quick. I almost NEVER do a 1/30 dance unless it's on the weekend and the cheap dude going for a dance already knows about it. I still don't mention it, I only mention the 2/50 and up, and then they're like "don't you guys do 1/30??" UGH lol
