I don't know if any of the people who made them years ago are still doing them (googling Loonie Butler didn't pull anything up, and i know a lot of girls have his magnets)
Most clubs have a magnet you can use, so there's only a few places you'll have to worry about. If you work with a girl who has one asking who made hers is the easiest way to find somebody who's still doing them.
In a pinch you can just go to princess auto or a similar place and find a magnet that you'd be able to tie something to, or just a large enough magnet that you can kneel down, run it across the floor, and it'll grab most of them in one pass.
If you're working alberta it'll only be an issue at like 4 bars though, so not worth spending a ton of money on.
Thanks heaps for the reply. I was hoping to find one of the people that makes them to get a logo image put on it. It is to be a gift for somebody, so want it to look good. I used to see girls with them all the time, but that was years ago.
I will try to hold out if anybody does know where I can find one.
I think I would cry if I had someone give me change. Seriously who does that?
We Canada there's no one dollar note so girls get tipped with one or two dollar coins. So at the end of a set sometimes you have hundreds of coins you need to quickly pick up.
Have you tried searching through Etsy? I'm always able to find nearly everything on craft sites..
Actually I worked in a club this week with an older owner who's been running it since he was basically born, and we talked a bit about the history of stripping in Alberta- apparently the coin toss actually predates the loonie. It started when the law changed that strippers must remain 3 feet away from customers at all times while on stage. Since bills don't throw well and inflation was much lower then, guys were throwing quarters at the time. You'd still see bills obviously, but lots of change. So when the loonie (and then the toonie) came along strippers actually got a bit of a raise lol.
