Thinking about becoming a stripper in Houston. Any thoughts you'd like to share?
I'm 22, broke, living at my mom's, and I have a son. I'm done feeling like I'm being controlled and after research I'm thinking about borrowing money and audition to strip in Houston. Does anyone have any thoughts on stripping in Houston or just pros and cons you'd like to share with me in general? I'd really appreciate it.

It couldn't hurt, love. Some of the clubs in Houston require a license and it doesn't sound like you're in any place to pay for one at the moment so I'd recommend you call the clubs you're looking at ahead of time to make sure no license is required. (there ARE some Houston based dancers on this board who can probably tell you which clubs are beginner friendly and DONT require a license)
I do also know that some of the clubs in that area are known for being a bit on the raunchier side with girls doing extras but beware of that, but I'm wishing you luck and hoping you can get yourself and your little one on your feet soon <3

It sounds like you know who some of these Houston based girls r ... How can I get a hold of someone to ask more questions?

The best way to find girls in a certain area is to do a general search for the city and look at the other threads about that city, read the info, and see which girls are offering information. I believe I saw some Houston threads not too long ago so you should be able to find a couple.

This has been many years ago, but I've heard Houston clubs were the worst. The best way is to go under club reviews and see what others have said.

houston is dirty but there are worse places to dance, at least you have a lot of clubs to choose from. like someone said- it's also good that many don't require a license. if you work for a bit and decide you want to invest $300+ in fees.. st. james is supposed to be good. until then, here's a thread that lists some clubs that *don't* require one.

kinda old but i'm pretty sure that list is mostly still accurate. the only place i actually went is men's club which is nice but idk what to recommend to you since i have no idea what you look like. i live in austin and on the weekends we get a lot of girls from houston coming out here to work, so i think that says something. there's money in houston but it's not as awesome as a lot of people seem to think.
