Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
Hi everyone this FYI. I've been thinking about this a lot. Last year people were on the front pages and 2 people had totally different earnings. Some made zero even on page 1 or 3.
Here is what the algorithm was last year. Is it still the same or what has been "tweaked" I have to laugh because how can we determine what rate we will connect at with phone or video. I spend over 7 months not connecting on phone at all and Phrendly didn't investigate it for a long time even though I kept getting bumped down.
Videochat failure shouldn't apply as we can't control connection issues!
I'd like to know whether age is a factor in the algorithm, length of time with the company, how many repeat clients you talk to again, and whether you self promote or promote Phrendly , and whether you are naughty in your interactions or only chat, have anything to do with the algorithm???? Comments, Jamma? How has it been tweaked for 2018?
From Jamma - date below:
The algorithm that determines where you show up is constantly being tweaked to ensure its effectiveness for both public phrends and those who reach out to them.
Things that will affect you positively:
- Quick responses to messages; the quicker the better
- Not taking more than 24 hours to respond
- Length of interactions with your phrends
- A good GIF. Objective measurements like how many chats are initiated vs your profile views and left vs right swipes are considered in determining “good”
- Accepting call and videos and the rate with which you connect when an attempt is made
Things that will affect you negatively:
- Slow and/or non-responses to messages
- Short interactions with phrends
- A lower-than-average call or video success rate
- A higher-than-average percentage of people that block you
- A higher-than-average percentage of people that chargeback after interacting with you
In addition, there is a small and temporary boost to new profiles, as analysis has shown some “new blood” mixed with familiar favorites is important to keep repeat customers. New people fade quickly if they aren’t successful in the above categories.
Hope this helps!

Seems about right. By default, Phrendly only shows ages 20-45, so if you're older than 45 that would be a negative. Good thing is you can always lie.

Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
Probably being paranoid here but I couldn't get in trouble for telling guys to download the Lovense Remote app so they can control my vibrator while we do Phrendly video chats? I mean, it's still not giving them my personal info or any way to contact me outside the app. In fact, it's creating more money for both Phrendly and I by giving them more of an incentive to video chat and continue communication.

Yes, we're tweaking the algorithm again and we are NOT happy with the latest tweaks (despite having spent a lot of time simulating them before making the changes live). We're working on it.

Jamma how are we suppose to share pics and videos since the new Ban on inappropriate language, pornographic content with one drive?

I did that maybe that's why i got moved to obscurity!! (this is only part time for me so it's ok but I still don't like having half the earnings I used to have) The guy can message with you on the app because he has to have your name on there to connect with you but we messaged on Phrendly instead. So I don't see how that is taking away business from here. It actually made for a very long texting session. And he contacted me on Phrendly again afterward as I deleted him on the app. (you can send him a link but it's more limited in what he can do)

Jamma, I'm confused. Exactly what are you guys trying to achieve with the placement? Seems like the initial problem when the app was slow for everyone was that users on the top 1-3 pages were getting most of the traffic and therefore money. You guys apparently saw the flaw in this and were "working" on fixing it. I asked you what ideas you guys had in the works, and you didn't get back to me with clarification. Now instead of the same 1-2 girls on page 1 constantly, there are new girls. Why aren't you happy with the results? It sounds as if you guys accomplished what you were trying to achieve, which is more exposure for all users.
Something isn't making sense here. I'm starting to think there's A LOT more going on behind the scenes than staff would like to admit. It seems a bit rigged, if you ask me.

This is very interesting, I hadn't seen this before.
If a high earning user has been penalized by "things that affect you negatively" there should be a time limit before they're given a chance again? Like a week's time-out at a lower ranking and then reinstated? Why aren't we sent an email explaining what has happened if we are suddenly dropped so we can improve? Maybe there should be algorithm visible in your account and you can see if you're in the green or heading towards in the red in each category that affects placement?
I also think being blocked should be completely abolished as something that affects you negatively, in my experience the guys that block me are incredibly rude or simply block because I will not send nudes for free, why should I be penalized for that?

Agreed on blocking being abolished from the criteria or at least very low weight. I've been blocked because I was a "gold digger" for refusing to leave the app, because I didn't reply to a "daddy dom" (lmao) within 30 mins, and because I've sent memes in response to dick pics...
Nothing that actually warranted blocking, but somehow that block button makes some of these crazies feel better about themselves when they realize that a.) I'm not looking for love, and b.) this is all a fantasy
-
Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
I think the blocking aspect is just there to encourage us to be nice. I don't think it holds much weight overall because during the weeks last year when I felt I was getting blocked left and right, my rank didn't suffer. Sometimes I get blocked when I don't send out pics for free or because I don't let men call me names and treat me poorly. Some men can't handle a confident woman. ;) I don't even send selfies for free anymore (rarely, I'll be nice and send a tame selfie to people who have spent a lot) and it pisses people off. Their loss. I'm magnificent. =P
I am hoping with the way things are changing (FOSTA/SESTA/Net Neutrality), men will realize the value of a woman who is willing to send pics for just a few gifts. <3

Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
Ya these asshats on here have become increasingly ruder than last year when I first started on here. I don't give nothing for free & refuse to lower my video chat prices when being told to. I try to reply as quickly as I can, however I still have a life & think it's unfair that I've been pushed back to page 11 or somewhere in the back. I'm always on there hustling my ass off for gift, video chats sometimes just to be blocked. Since I'm putting in alot of effort , I'd sure love to have the same from them in terms of traffic my way & my placement being higher.
-
Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
What is the deal with random guys popping into your inbox with red hearts? I had a guy who has never texted me before initiate a video chat (the call had trouble connecting so no one was charged) but I noticed a red heart when I was going to text him and tell him to call me back. The red heart scared me off ...I'm not going to be your 50 cent sugar mama lol. I thought maybe since we've never actually exchanged messages, if I was the first to text him despite his attempt to video call me, I would be charged.
I don't know if this is a glitch or what. For awhile I would randomly get notifications before a video chat saying "this phrend values their time at ____ drinks per min" or something like that, which is what I imagine guys see from their end but it was just a glitch.

Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
Has anyone else used invisible mode and when trying to switch back online they get this message:
"Pending. Got it! Your profile will go public upon successful review. Get ready to have fun!"
What? I've been an active user for like 9 months and suddenly my whole profile is awaiting review again?
I swear sometimes I feel like there's one angry little dweeb programmer working for Phrendly who once tried to chat me up or something and when he didn't get anywhere with me he personally demoted me. I know others speak of the same sudden drop in page placement so it's probably not that... but to go from 6 months of page 1 to a sudden drop tens of pages back...at the height of making close to 10K/month? It feels personal.

Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on this. I joined Phrendly in June 2017. I can only think of ONE user who has been on Page 1 constantly since then. I also happen to be acquainted with this user and I've seen more of their everyday life than most. I'm not inclined to believe that this user makes significant amounts of money on Phrendly. Yet their status has been loud and proud on Page 1 since the beginning of the app. Other than seniority, I KNOW this user isn't making such an extravagant amount that they've earned a permanent spot on Page 1. Does their ranking have anything to do with being one of the first successful girls ever on the app? Strong possibility if seniority is a factor, which has never been mentioned before. I also wonder if they have connections the rest of us don't, or if they're doing certain things with the owners, that will give them leverage over anyone else. It doesn't make any sense, otherwise. There have definitely been months where I've made over $10,000 on Phrendly, yet my rank suffered and this person's didn't. Again, I highly doubt they made more than me.
I'm undoubtedly a top earner on this app, but my ranking suffered over time and this other user's ranking hasn't. Several other girls have testified to bringing in over $10,000/mo on this app and their rankings have suffered as well, with the exception of one. Even on my highest earning month (around $12k) I didn't make it to Page 1. Makes me wonder why, certainly to make that kind of money I must have done everything right....
All I will say is that I'm keeping close tabs on staff claims vs. staff actions, because I don't think it's as mathematic and innocuous as staff suggests. I would love any proof in the world that would prove I'm wrong, but somehow I have a feeling that won't be provided because my suspicions are 100% true.
All of a sudden, this user drops significantly. They complain. Jamma admits that there has been a terrible mistake and staff is UNHAPPY with the new ranking, meaning this user has been booted off page one and a new repertoire of users have taken over the first page. The user given preferential treatment is suddenly booted back to Page 1, over 60+ pages. WOW! Amazing. How could anyone rise 60+ pages in a day?! Never seen that happen before! Such a coincidence! Such an incredible climb! I wonder why staff would be unhappy when their goal was to even out the rankings for everyone, and as soon as that happens ...it's one big disaster for them. They are quote "NOT HAPPY".
TLDR; one user appears to receive preferential treatment when I'm certain their earnings aren't topping everyone else's. Why? It doesn't make any sense. Staff obviously won't offer insight but my observations aren't wrong. When I say I believe the app is rigged, I mean it and I have substantial evidence proving so. PM for more details. I'd love to hear Phrendly's take on this. Unless this user just so happens to earn $1000+ a day (and again, I know enough about this user's personal life to know this isn't the case), something isn't adding up. It's almost as if everyone is being sabotaged except for this one person.
-
Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
This is really interesting. It seems like most of us have had our success sabotaged despite high earnings, with the exception of 1-2 people. Why are these 1-2 people receiving preferential treatment? There is definitely more going on than staff is going to admit. We will never know what their true intentions are or why they are doing this, but I am absolutely inclined to believe it's personal especially after a nice little surprise I received from staff yesterday regarding my GIF right after I talk about getting away my cleavage. I won't elaborate, because I suspect staff reads this and has a good idea of who I am, and God only knows what unfair actions they'll take against me next.
I'm sure Jamma will ignore these posts. But I know there is something fishy going on behind the scenes. It doesn't add up. It makes zero sense. Their algorithm isn't as unbiased and mathematical as they claim. That's obvious.
Why wouldn't the app want everyone to succeed and make money, therefore making them more money? Not a clue, but the circumstantial evidence that staff favors a particular person and sabotages everyone else is quickly becoming insurmountable.
Phrendly's "explanations" are so evasive and unsatisfactory. If anyone else has any experiences or thoughts, either proving or disproving my theories please speak up.
-
Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
Every site has algorithms. I know it's frustrating, but Phrendly is owned by Niteflirt, a huge cam/phone sex site. Phrendly is not a small fish trying to "make it" by being diplomatic. They have an algorithm so THEY can make a profit. We can try to follow their tips on improving our placement, but ultimately it's a for-profit business, and not everyone can be on page one.
And we don't know anyone else's personal earnings. These other women could be raking it in.
It's the same everywhere. Some models get preferential treatment. It could be because of any number of reasons (contracts, affiliate marketing, high earnings), but ultimately we're not the site owners. It would be nice if they were 100% transparent with us, but that's unlikely to happen. It's our choice if we use their service. Personally, I'll deal with whatever they throw at me, since they give us such a damn amazing percentage in our favor. All I have to do is star guys and ask for gifts? Hell yes.
-
Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
<<<since they give us such a damn amazing percentage in our favor.>>>>>
I agree with you, noone can expect to have high earnings or the same earnings all the time either, but I have to say one thing. You can treat people fairly without disclosing your entire business dealings. And it isn't the same everywhere. That is generalizing.
Also the way Phrendly demotes people leaves them feeling like crap about themselves. They suddenly wonder, Am I not good enough, What did I do, Why am I not being told what I did wrong, why
are my earnings so low all of a sudden....why will noone speak to me now am I a piece of crap. I have seen that with Jupiter and now Moneyeyes and others. You can make a profit without treating people like that.
At least give them a reasonable explanation after they made that money for your company! ( I owned an all female adult business and I made a profit without treating anyone that way, even the "new blood" )
You obviously haven't been demoted yet because the percentage they pay is great but 70% of nothing is zero!! :-))))

Phrendly isn't perfect. And we do need some pushback, to keep site owners accountable. I'm just trying to say the conspiratorial tone in this thread seems a little dramatic. I have been moved around all over the place on Phrendly. I was part of their early marketing campaign and used in advertising, which got me great business, but then immediately died off when I was no longer active enough (I moved to Europe and could no longer work during peak times). They haven't brought me back into their advertising, if they're still doing it. I'm on page 15+ all the time because I'm usually focused on other sites, but even then, the money and convenience of Phrendly is still worth it for me.
Every time I've gotten active on the site again, my regulars have come back to me. I've starred guys several pages back, and got new customers. I made a new gif, and attracted some attention. I can see how frustrating it is to be demoted, but I do believe this happens everywhere. Even LiveCamModelShows, a cam site run by a cammodel, can't have everyone on the front page. She does a lottery now, which randomizes things. I don't know Phrendly's algorithm, but I still don't think it's reasonable to expect direct answers from a large company like "Why is this girl one page 1, and not me?" If I feel bad about my earnings on a site, I don't expect to be comforted by the help staff. I expect to do what they tell me to improve my stats, and if the site doesn't answer my help requests, I'll move elsewhere.
-
Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
Wow i'm glad I don't cam. I can imagine what people would say to the things I would probably post. LOL It's time for me to take a break from this thread again.
I was right. You have never had the experience they are having! I think a lot of girls on this thread are jealous of what they earned so don't care what happened to them however unfair it is.
Phrendly isn't a large company as far as how many employees they have. They don't advertise Niteflirt at all which saves a lot of time and money. If they can have someone be on SW to post things and answer questions i think it's reasonable for them to expect questions as it seems to me they invite feedback on here. They had the time to comment on those girls concerns who are wondering why they have been moved after earning so much. You would think they would be an asset not a liablity. And this large company had time to discuss Burt Macklin's red dot problem. LOL LOL And some of us just have inquiring minds. Maybe I have been here too long if I am wondering about placement. Because I shouldn't care that if I did decide to work hard and cam that is where I would end up, on page 100 so what would be the point to waste my time on a site like that? Even Chaturbate, a large large company does not demote top people in a year and a half now. Because they earn money from their percentage. That is why they are wondering why they aren't being treated as an asset instead of a liability.
I don't know the person who you think is acting like there is a conspiracy, but I think she has some valid points and I feel for her and the other girl because they obviously feel really bad, it's the not getting an explanation which is bothering them, just like it did Jupiter. That is why they are starting to think crazy reasons. ( I studied psychology and that is what people do) They could at least say, Well we think other people should have a chance, you earned enough. Why would a GIF she had for 10 months all of a sudden be told it's too dark after she disclosed her earnings on here. Maybe a jealous girl reported her GIF? Being in the adult industry for many years I still think you can treat people like they are a human being. When Phrendly has something to say "the large company" has no trouble coming here and saying it. If they don't want to invite criticism don't run a thread. Free speech means even people with conspiracy theories can post their opinions! I think I am pretty done with all of this! Let's just agree to disagree. Cheers!
P.S. if everyone can't be on page one then why are the same exact girls who were just there back again on page 1 to 3.

How could I have them promote me in their advertising all over fb & other apps? I'm steppin up my game on here. I miss last years's earnings ugh. Still do ok on here, but nothing like I was last year sadly. Then again I haven't made or changed my gif in a year haha.

Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
I rarely work this app but I'm appreciative. Jamma always promptly answers my messages when my profile is pending, etc. I get people are upset and confused but it is what it is. It'll work itself out, or WORK HARDER. That's all you can do. Some people never made it on the 1-3 pages. I'm just glad it's another egg even if I made $2 a day. In our industry, we pick up the pieces, adjust, and keep it moving. I would've been glad for the opportunity to snag $10k a month. Even if it USED to happen.

Totally agree!! I'm not about to let a minor setback impede a major comeback. That's why we have different streams of income generating. When one doesn't work then we keep working hard on the others. I'm starting to think that maybe some people have become use to the "easy money" that Phrendly provided and maybe pushed to the side their other eggs. Can't let that happen....
I still make some change on Phrendly but nothing like I did last year. Do I miss the money? Yes! But I'm not about to waste all of my time crying about a company that obviously doesn't put the interests of their best earners first. Stuff happens so just and hopefully the situation will rectify itself.
An if you really care that much, please run along and startup your own company. At least there won't be any conspiracy theories with your own stuff. lol

Re: Phrendly.com, a new GFE option to consider
Work harder than instant replies, losing sleep to respond and star back and interact, making big money, etc like many of them have? When massive page drops (1 to 60, even 200+) happen anyway? Okay.
I appreciate phrendly as much as the next gal, but it still makes zero sense. It's not about everyone wanting to be on page one, it's the drastic changes that are rarely logical and the frustration not only of that, the lack of any control over an important aspect of your success, but of also receiving fairly copy+paste answers that don't line up with reality when we ask about the issue that's impacting our livelihoods after we've put countless hours into phrendly, being instrumental in its success (phrendly wouldn't be here without the intelligent, beautiful women who've extracted hundreds of thousands, maybe millions.)
Luckily I have plenty of other streams of income and phrendly isn't that important to me, especially after seeing how some of you all are treated, but I can still acknowledge how strange and unfair the treatment is, why some would be upset by it.
Now let's see if my gif doesn't get unapproved suddenly.

You're making assumptions that have absolutely no basis. Who are all of these grandiose statements directed towards? My placement is great and I'm doing extremely well on the app as I always have. Even on my worst month I've managed to pull in a few thousand dollars. You can't deny that the algorithm is flawed, and you also can't deny that there are 2 particular users who don't appear to have suffered the same fall back in placement as everyone else. Two users out of how many tens of thousands of women on the app? This isn't a "conspiracy theory" this is a FACT. As you said, the company doesn't care to put the interests of their best earners first. That is exactly what I'm getting at, and when asking Jamma to weigh in with an explanation he doesn't, which not only comes across as evasive but creates distrust between models and staff. I can't think of anyone who would "care" enough about Phrendly to disregard more stable sources of income and treat it as anything more than a side egg.
This thread exists because the app wants feedback and interaction with the models. For over a year now, posters have been saying the exact same things as I'm saying now, and staff has never addressed it. No, there probably isn't anything that can be done about it and maybe staff will never be 100% honest about these concerns, but it's worth discussing. It's worth bringing to their attention. If nearly everyone is unsatisfied with the algorithm, then something needs to be changed. If people on Pages 1-3 are supposedly getting the majority of the traffic as Jamma claims, then there is an issue that must be rectified. It's obviously a burning question for many. As for your comment, "and if you really care that much, please run along and startup your own company." LOL! You should be a comedian, but I'm not sure how that statement was helpful or constructive to the conversation.
Flaws and all, I am incredibly grateful for the app and the extra income it has provided me. Even if it ever got to the point where I'm making $10/day off of it, that's still something at the end of the month. However, I see some serious problems with the infrastructure and everyone deserves better than that. Everyone should have a fair chance at succeeding, and letting the app's strongest hustlers fizzle out is questionable to say the least. In order for this app to thrive, changes need to be made. That's undeniable.
