How do you change your age? I don't see an option to do it. Do you just have to message support and ask?

Why don't you e-mail support & ask them. I'm curious now too.
How is a guy going to know who I've starred & who I haven't?
They can't/won't & the reason is b/c they can't advertise in most places if they go the adult route, but they aren't getting quality guys anyway. I noticed this all last year. To me they look cheap & low level. When I mentioned that here, someone got pissed off at me.
They just don't look like the guys I'm used to on camming.
How can they not be in the app store & new guys are signing up? Unless you can sign up just by regular PC.
I'd love to change my age. I'm older & I know that's one of the reasons I don't get the guys. I complained to them about the slider thingy where the guys don't even know they have been preset to ONLY see people in their age range.
What I don't understand is WHY all these guys star me back (some even initiate the star) & then they don't message me.
Like do they really think women are going to PAY to message them??? LOL
Phrendly has been deader than dead. I’ve been around since 2018 and it’s only getting worse. I’m not even sure promoting works anymore.
Is everyone having this issue?
Yes. Phrendly has never been amazing for me, however my earnings have been steadily trending downward.
2017 - $1800
2018 - $700
2019 - $190
2020 (so far) - $1.40
At the current rate, I'm not sure I'll even make payout once in 2020. I have no idea where I rank, but it's likely quite low. Also, I'm on the older side, which can be detrimental on Phrendly. I still get stars, both me starring first and the guy starring first, but it never leads to any messages. The one conversation I had in 2020 was a guy who thought Phrendly was a regular dating app, so that problem still persists.
I keep the app on my phone because it's easy, but 2020 might be the last year I use it.
So, in short, it's not worth it for me to sign up then ? Thanks.
If I were you, I'd still sign up. The process is easy, doesn't cost anything. Apart from getting dolled up to take the three photos required, it's not a lot of effort. If you are young and conventionally attractive, you might end up on the front page for a while and it could lead to a decent amount of money. I think Phrendly dies out for everyone after a while, but you could potentially earn a few thousand before that happens.
Perfect! I will then :) You don't have to show face right?
You do have to show your face in your gif
Hmm, I'll skip this one then. Thanks!!
EDIT: I put half face and mainly body parts in my GIF , I guess we'll see if they approve me. I don't want to be out there on the internet. Although, is this more a dating site with a paid option? Or is this a sex worker site? How is it viewed by the public? Thanks.
Edit part 2: SO they didn't approve that GIF because it's "too suggestive" and my full face isn't in ANY of the gifs. UGH. Hate this especially because my name on there is the same name on NF/TTM/CF where I do NOT show my face. Advice?
DUDE, WTF, now I made a GIF with my face and they denied it again because it's "too suggestive" cause I'm showing cleavage SMH. I'm trying to make MONEY here. Is this egg even worth all the hassle?!
This happened to me all week. The first one was too suggestive so I redid it and it was denied fornmy “whole face not being in it” when it clearly is. I feel like they don’t look anymore and if there’s more skin tone than shirt they deny it. But some girls can have whatever they want.
The site is pitched the public rather deceptively. They don't want to be perceived by their credit card processor as operating an adult site and they want to be able to have their app available for download, so they keep profile pics extremely clean and they try to position themselves as an "online only" relationship site. As you can see from the title of this thread, they positioned themselves to us, sex workers, as a place to offer "girlfriend experience" services.
I don't show my face on other sites. For Phrendly, I wore a wig and applied heavy makeup. I took off all the things and around my face that I typically wear (like glasses, earrings, whatever). I took the photos for the gif with very bright lighting (which, depending on angle, can flatten or enhance angles on your face) and tilted my head at an unusual angle. The result is that I look nothing like myself. Even my boyfriend at the time didn't recognize me when I showed him my profile.
Dealing with the guys who don't understand the purpose of the site can be annoying. There are the ones who completely think it is Tinder and complain about how lame it is that none of the girls they chat with live nearby. There are the ones noticed the "online only" part of the site's tagline, but still think that the women are there purely for fun and are also paying to send messages. They will constantly try to get you to talk off Phrendly. And then there are some that understand that it's essentially a cam/phone sex/sexting service.
Over the years, I've made a few thousand dollars on Phrendly. Others made much, much more. If you get placed on the first page, you might be able to earn a ton of money for a short period. Once you rank lower, money will be very sporadic. However, there's some potential here and once your profile is set up, there is little additional effort required.
This is an amazing summary!
Most guys aren't going to recognize anyone on here. A lot of them are just looking to cum as quickly as possible. Most are also looking to meet up off site & or free nudes. It's a tricky site.
Decided to try this site again due to being sick of sitting on live cam this week.
Anyone have a tip on responding to a guy who texts for awhile and then types out his damn phone number like xxx in one text and xxxx in the next? I wish they would block them typing numbers like that I hate it.
I have not responded back. If it were a sexting site I'd just do a hard sell and lay on the sexiness but this guy is a GFE type.
Is he even worth trying to salvage? If so anyone have a suggestion to deal with this?
Anyone else having issues with guys really thinking this is a dating site? I've had 3 seriously invest time in vanilla calls trying to get to know me, etc. It's great except I just had to block a dude for getting so creepy with me, saying he wants to live with me and shit.
That's exactly how the site is marketed. Honestly I hate that. They are trying to keep it looking like a dating site to keep Google Play from deleting the app from the Play Store.
The reviews are mostly really bad, guys feeling deceived and cheated.
I quit the site before because it annoys me that they do that. Started back this week and not sure I can tolerate it, just trying to find ways to make $ so I don't have to sit all made up on live cam.
He responded "how would they know babe! Just go ahead and text me they don't have to know!"
hahah omg.
Looks like i'll just have to write this one off.
The stupidity of these men just floors me sometimes, for him to think I would want to take my time to text and entertain him for free. ugh.
Yea, I had dudes send me their whatsapp, their phone number, their snap chat, and their personal fbs with their families attached. They REALLY think it's a dating site. One guy the one I blocked thought I had to pay "refill drinks" to talk to him too and wondered why I hadn't at all the entire video chat lmao. I told him Oh I added a lot in the beginning before you called me LOL.
