Trying to find a job next to camming - But what?
Heyy everyone
I recently am really fed up with camming. I have tried SO MANY things but I just noticed, all I need is a job next to it so I can be more relaxed on cam. A part time job kinda which would pay my bills better than camming for a bunch of greedy bastards on Chaturbate who betray me all the time. Just the problem is: I quit my internship some time ago and can't get one back and I won't. It was waaay too much of work and my internship was the reason why I started camming, because I hated being in an office and underpaid. Now that I only live off camming, it just doesn't really works and my parents hate it to hear me moan until 3-5 am for just a few dollars daily. I'm really fed up but I don't wanna give up, not like I usually would!! I want to get a so called "Vanilla job" which everyone told me to get one. Just yeah: In my country, without a degree I'm a no one!
So now: What are your suggestions for me to do? I'm an extreme introvert most of the time and I love languages and acting and making people happy (I used to work at a reception in my internship until I had a mental breakdown and started to rebell against the rules), if that gives you any ideas for a fiting job for me. I have sadly never been able to work outside of my internship due to my major depression which I can't afford to cure (therapies are so expensive here and my assurance pays NOTHING). I used to work at a handicaped workshop (internship) for my depression but I was even uncapable to work there so I got kicked out. Now the only ones who help me are my parents but they know they can't do much for me since I'm an adult now and they told me to get a job by myself.
Attempts I have made so far: Making an own eyelash serum (which works pretty great on my mother and best friend, also on me) and selling it online. But I don't know how to sell a thing! I have never done such a thing. I want to sell it on ebay first to see if people have interest in it. The thing is: My father is selling things himself on ebay. I have already thought of asking him about it but we don't have a good and stable relationship...
Going to an anouncement website was my second attempt which is taking very long I have noticed. I wrote in an anouncement that I'm searching for a job in acting, if someone is searching for an actress (I wrote I'm a hobbyist-actress, not an actress with an actress degree)
Also I went on a sugar daddy website but all these old men gross me out soo much. The only types of men which I like are Asians (Chinese, Japanese etc.) but where I am looking for (Seeking Arrangement) there doesn't seem to have any Asians interested in me, especially not some who live near me...
Since I have big social anxiety (I don't have many friends and I don't go out that much) and I got called "uncapable to work" from my own assurance, I'm not sure if the best solution would just be to kill myself. I'm VERY uncapable of things which is why I ended up in the sex industry and I give up too easily most of the times. These are things I HATE about me but there doesn't seems to be any cure for that sadly... :'(
I know this text may sound REALLY fucked up but my life in general is a huge mess right now and I'm out of ideas on what to do next. Adulthood is so fucking hard and draining.

Re: Trying to find a job next to camming - But what?
Why dont you just get a remote job? Many large companies hire at home workers.
-
Re: Trying to find a job next to camming - But what?
There are quite a few work at home jobs available. Transcription, phone jobs, etc. Real Ways to Earn Money Online and Rat Race Rebellion are two work at home blogs I have seen mentioned on here before. I even had a part-time transcription job I found through one of those blogs.

On page 4 of that thread I had posted a bunch of links to my favorite work-from-home job resources.
Also, Indeed.com is a great site to look up jobs in your local area, and apply right there online.

Re: Trying to find a job next to camming - But what?
i was sort of in the same situation you were in about 3 years ago. I'm still here so obvi i didnt leave i took the advice in the thread for the most part and i got more into phone sex and have taken a few breaks from camming i used to get burnt out once every few months becuse i was still focusing on camming and using PSO as a side thing . I even took a year long break from camming until a few weeks ago with the help of a shitty BF i was with until a few months ago who was supporting me while i got my shit together.
This thread has a lot of great options for at home non sexual jobs. https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...ns-are-limited
I'd also suggest looking into indie camming maybe changing sites adding more sites pso clips sexting. Theres a lot you can do within the sex industry too. I dont have an a vanilla side job i have my fingers in a lot of sex work baskets and all the little bit from here and there add up to a hole lot and im very much OK financially. I still cam because I have mental and emotional disorders i'm working thru i cannot function well in normal society let alone land a job from an interview. I'm a hermit but thats ok for right now I've been thru a lot in my life so i'm just little by little becoming a better person so i can hopefully one day have the life i want and be able to have an active life and somewhat normal life .

Re: Trying to find a job next to camming - But what?
The days of camming as your full-time income are becoming less possible. The need to have other sources of income is becoming greater and also the need to have other sources of income that is not always related to adult content.
2014 to present I've stepped into the world of affiliate marketing and network marketing building it online. I've discovered I've been limiting myself by only working in adult.
I found it because I was going through horrible stress in my life and dealing wtih huge burn out. Finding it has been pretty much a huge life saver for me.
What I've discovered was how to use the internet to build myself as a brand and able to sell my own products or services to my own email list I've created by marketing myself online, and also able to make money up front by being an affiliate and marketing and promoting products and services create by other people getting paid a % for it.
The income I am creating from it is more then what I make camming in a day. which is why I am so intrigued and passionate about it. I already work from home for over 10 years and I am really not interested in working out there for someone else with and my education background still not finished college and haven't had a "job" since 2008 I just didn't want to face that "real job" market when I know I can use the internet to create something for myself and there are people right in front of me doing it everyday and making HUGE money.
Going to internet marketing events changed how I view making money online.
Basically if you want to work from home you need to find out works for you and look at your options outside of sex work because there are plenty of options out there. it's a matter of trying things out and figure out what you really wwant to do
If you want to know what I am doing you could inbox me - we could do a skype call I can do a screen share and show you what I am up to. You might want to try it.
What pulled things together was reading the books dot com secrets and circle of profit. You can actually get them free as well.
You might want to explore those career personality test , or even a career counselor they can shed some light on which areas you can explore instead of running around to every new shinny object out there.
As for the social anxeity majorty of us have gone through some type of mental illness in our life and honestly the only way to get into a space where it doesn't effect you all the time is to seek help for it. being an introvert and having PTSD and bipolar disorder will not stop me from creating a life I've always wanted. I've just put support and resources in place to make sure I can handle it and not see it as a huge barrier.

Re: Trying to find a job next to camming - But what?
You're not alone. A lot of us (probably most who've done sex work for any significant amount of time) have felt burnt out and wanted to find an alternative.
I'd advise finding someone to talk to, first. There are a lot of free counseling sites... www.7cups.com has free one-on-one counseling. I've used it a ton. They will listen to whatever you want to talk about. Anyone can sign up to become a counselor, so it's not an actual licensed therapist, but they are trained in how to be supportive, and I've always felt better after chatting with them.
Forums you might find helpful:
www.socialanxietysupport.com
www.anxietyforum.net
As for jobs, there are a ton of transcription/translation jobs out there. Or you could tutor people in your native language. If you're a native English speaker, there is a huge market for online English teachers/tutors.
Definitely look into marketing and selling on ebay. There is a ton of information out there. I have friends who resell things on ebay and amazon, and it pays pretty well.
Best of luck! <3

Seashell, a bit off topic, but thank you for posting the link for counseling. I get depressed a lot, so I will definitely be bookmarking that page and looking into it more. :)

How about paid survey sites? You could do it along side camming :)

I was hanging out with a cam girl this weekend. She told me she is so obsessed with paid surveys that she will even do them during exclusives and juggle them lol.

I haven't had a real job since 2012, I honestly don't know what I would put in my resume or say when they ask what I've been doing since then. If I need to I have enough saved up for 1 month + security deposit for an apartment. But I have no proof of income. I don't know what to do.
1. Get in Katy's Daily Pay studio, she will also be able to help with income verification once you have some time in with her and fast cash!
2. Get on cam and work your angles and cover what you don't like. I gained 25 lbs, hated myself and like one person noticed.. I lost some regs, got new one, but that will happen anyway
3. If you have no where to go, then go to bf, don't take everything (storage?) and try to keep the peace until you can get out of the hole. Guys do this all the time, "yes, hun, ok hun, sure hun, whatever yu say hun"
4. Server- just for a min?
5. Resume? Truth, you have been self employed... read the numerous threads about what to say you do for work and fill in the blanks.....
Si'???
I swear I want to build a place for stray cam girls :-)

Re: Trying to find a job next to camming - But what?
I'm a hustler and I know how to do this. Here's what I did...
I started working from home in 2010 after losing my job I had for over 3 years. The economy was tough and I decided to jump into blogging. I became a blogger and participated in product reviews. I generated around 11,000 in 2010. The next year it was around 17,000. I quit blogging once I landed my social media jobs in 2011. I did social media management for various companies in 2011 & 2012. On average, I had 2 clients and averaged around $3,000 a month. On a good month i made over $4,000. Life was awesome then. I honestly really miss those days before I cammed because I was better at vanilla work than camming. In 2012 I started making terrible choices and lost all employment and had to start over. Let's just say I hit a "midlife crisis" at the age of 24. That was a horrible year full of bad memories. I was so lost with who I was.
Where am I going with this? I CREATED my own jobs by researching on google, going on various forums and networking online. I have a linkedin that has over 1000 connections that I've generated over 6 years now. I have so many connections in the online world it aint even funny. There's a whole online job market outside just camming. It's actually really fun if you get yourself into it. Over my 6 years working from home, I've worked with 4 celebrities, 5 companies that I managed social media for and learned so damn much. I picked up web design in 2010 and had a fun run in that too. I also did social media management for both corporations & entertainment figures. I feel like camming reverted me back a little and made me forget just how awesome I used to be! Get out there and throw yourself forward and you will achieve so much more than you thought.

Same. I had another forum I used religiously like a bible and looked into all the work from home ops that people discussed on there, literally all of them - merchandising, promotions, jaimie oliver, avon, envelope sealing, texting, tarot lines, modelling, surveys, extras/acting... the whole shaboodle. Had tons of fun! Lots was crap money but things like extra work or promotions often led to other things through making good industry contacts (plus I met a lot of celebs and picked up loads of goodies!). Eventually through this same forum I found web search evaluation - That's still what I tell people I do :D
As well as stuff I found on that forum I've done
Horse riding instructor (what I first wanted to be)
Private tutor & Supply teacher shortly after leaving university
Admin, sales, and odd jobs for other small businesses like plumbers/builders
Fetish modelling (had no real idea of the adult connection at the time)
Massage and Aromatherapist
There is a whole WORLD of other stuff you can do for yourself from home besides camming (or say you do). Check out peopleperhour, elance, glassdoor, wahm forums, and any other work from home forums you can find. There's just a few ideas for ya! x

I am so glad I can share this because we're all awesome here in the CC thread and I really want to inspire others to show just how small camming is compared to other online jobs out there. It's a big world out there and there is so much opportunity for us! If you can handle camming, you can handle various other kinds of employment. Camming is the hardest job I'VE EVER HAD. Seriously, when I did social media management, it came as second nature and I was really good at it. I realized that if you really put your mind to it, you can find online work fairly easy. You just have to look in the right places.

Hey SexySusie,
What is an Jaimie Oliver opportunity? I know that he is a famous chief in the Uk but what type of opportunities does he have? Is it an affiliate opportunity or something? :)

Re: Trying to find a job next to camming - But what?
Like Avon or tupper ware, you basically arrange meet ups or parties with friends where you showcase his cookware and get people to buy it and you make a commission. Things like that are best if you have a lot of friends to network with x

There is actually a way to build this type of business model online - You don't need to only depend on friends and family now.

Re: Trying to find a job next to camming - But what?
Hmm? I am 43 and I always say, " CAMMING IS THE HARDEST JOB I HAVE EVER HAD" and I have had some hard jobs!.. but they paid me no matter what.. I have also had a lot of other sales commission jobs.. On cam I feel like I am on the Firing Squad all the time.. they really do make or break you.. I have been sitting here day after day watching my camscore go down on CB every single day.. I am not doing anything differently that I ever done before? I think someone is trying to seek some kinda vengeance against me and there is NOTHING I can do about it... Just nothing but sit here and take it.. I am tellin ya.. if you don't just smile and take it all day the cam guys really will set you up for failure... that's what makes this the hardest job ever.
