You have to wonder what they thought was going to happen.
I'm gonna say this:
For anyone who says, "well shoulda, coulda, woulda etc..anyone else EVER do something, forget to do something etc & have some fallout/loss/etc b/c of it? I'll say all, or most people have done it
Me, I forgot my cell so I had to walk a long ass way bk frm dropping car off..not the least of which a bunch of morons leering @ me. TG no one decided to attack me.
So..
This shame/blame the victim shit needs to stop, immediately!
Eta: Also, I'm not a 'fan' or supporter, I really don't care for them, but please, not necessary, some of these comments
I'd understand if some nefarious hacker/stalker hijacked her snapchat, posted her personal pics and invited people to rob her ...but that's not what happened. Kim was being the attention whore that she is 24/7 and she was robbed. I'm so sick of people doing stupid shit and then getting all upset when no one throws them a pity party. Every cause has an effect. Stop comparing your plight to the plight of celebrities - especially a celebrity like Kim K, who's worth millions of dollars. It's not practical.
You can't compare locking yourself out of the house or forgetting to send out wedding invitations to what happened here. There's a difference between partying all month and getting evicted from your apartment because you didn't work and have no money and getting an eviction notice because for whatever reason you genuinely forgot to pay your rent. Accidents happen and people make mistakes sure but more people need to start taking responsibility for their actions, period.
Yeah I would think her social media managers would have advised her on what is safe to post and what is not.
I think there may be a lack of sympathy because these people are clever entertainers and how do we know what's real and what's an illusion? Mark my words this sh*t will be unsolved and no one will know the "truth".
Now this broad has made history, again, for nothing but existing and facing worldly challenges. How many people on this thread have had their possessions snatched?
Wow. Kim is now part of Supreme Court history http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/04/politi...urt/index.html
Well, yea Kourtney her sis told her to wait & change location before posting..Kim admits she messed up
I'm no fan of hers and I find her lack of personality annoying as hell. That said, no one deserves to see their life flash before their eyes. Everyone I know says she deserves it. That they should've slapped her around and shave her head on top of that. Lol. So mean. She's annoying, but not a cruel person as far as we know.
I can't wish ppl bad. It's karma. Only to criminals.
It's such a shame IMO. I don't know exactly what she did so wrong in this situation for people to be so MAD at her, that she was showing her jewelry off on social media? Beyonce regularly posts pics of her jewelry on her instagram and tumblr, I don't see people raging about her 'flaunting her wealth(which tbh why anyone has a problem with other people flaunting their wealth in the first place I don't know).' They're mad that she didn't have enough security? Well, she didn't for whatever reasons and that was a big, unfortunate mistake, but why that is making people MAD at her I don't get.
People in general have had so much damn-near psychotic hostility towards the Kardashians from day 1 and I have never understood it. I can understand not being a fan, but the immense anger? I just feel like.......Kim is a reality TV star and a member of the fashion industry, why get SO upset over a TV/fashion personality? Why are they taking her SO seriously to begin with? If they want to be so angry at someone can't they at least direct it more meaningfully, like towards someone who is actually evil?
For me not so much anger. Just annoyance. Like maybe the message could be hey fans secure your belonging safely or how to stay calm during rough situations to make it out alive.
And maybe she's in shock or grieving the alleged theft/captivation but instead of hearing news about something that could make a difference in the world I get to hear about kardashians on the news. People behind a social media, marketing, and an entertainment empire.
This is pop culture news, gossip news, entertainment news but not world news. I heard about the kardashian robbery 3 time on media before 3pm that day wtf?! She's not in the hospital, she's not in a psych ward, she appears to be coping with alleged crime unfazed.
I'm neutral till all facts of the story released just saying things that stick out to me so far.
People are saying she's doing this for attention. They can miss me with that bullshit. We promote anti-bullying, celebrities are no exceptions. Kim is a mother/wife/daughter/sister. People that relish in others mishaps are disgusting.
Not sure if you're referring to my post but I'm not relishing in anyone's mishaps. I'm merely stating I don't know what's real or what's staged. If a real crime occurred, then yes she or anyone in that situation deserves some resolution. As far as I know, Her kids were not present. Not a lot of physical evidence just a few peoples word. It will most likely be unsolved so only people who were there know the real truth.
I think what people do with their money is entirely up to them, I'm a live-and-let-live person and I agree there are other far more deserving figures of true hate.
However I understand why some feel animosity towards people like the Kardashians (and others, I've seen Beyonce get lots of criticism too). One of the biggest problems for all of humanity is inequality and the daily suffering it causes, so it can be sickening to see overly ostentatious displays of such extreme wealth.
Personally I don't understand that 'new money' mentality...if you have enough money to buy whatever you want, where is the joy in yet another bauble or trinket, day after day, more than you could ever wear or drive or consume...it is so empty and vapid after a point.
I think everyday working people find it hard to take, in particular seeing people with little to no perceived talent being given so much by the universe and flaunting and bragging about it, in comparison to some of the horrors and injustices taking place in the 'real' world, or even just in comparison to their daily grind.
Yes it's pure jealousy some of the time... I don't consider myself a jealous type or a hater but it'd be disingenuous to say I don't feel disgusted by some of the shit I see from overindulged out-of-touch 'stars'.
There are a lot of people gloating over this incident and that is horrible because the lack of empathy and the victim-shaming is wrong and unfair, but unfortunately it seems to be human nature to enjoy schadenfreude whether we admit it or not.
So much hypocrisy from girls who make $xxx-$xxxx a night for doing "nothing" lol. We're no better than the kardashians, they just got lucky. To the regular World we're just sluts that take our clothes off For $ and make bank for it while They bust Their ass at a 9-5 and go to school! You wanna talk about inequality - I made
Tonight what normal people make in a month of working. Let's start there. The wealthy inspire me to be a better version of myself!
^I'm not a hypocrite. I was giving an idea of what makes some people react so strongly they say things like she deserved it or should have got worse.
I dont personally care whether so-and-so is considered talentless but is rich and successful, thats how the world works. And yes, I would take advantage of any opportunity that came my way and run with that luck. *Personally* I would be more subtle about displaying my wealth that's all.
My point was, not everyone has the mindset of 'this actually makes me inspired to better myself'...they get bitter and wallow in their unhappiness and direct anger at people who have more, especially people who have more without much obvious effort.
I get judged by vanilla people in exactly the way you said...being a slut who doesn't have a 'real job'...it isn't fair but it's how people are.
I think JessaJade explained it really well. After Trump's taxes were exposed someone told me they thought having 9 figure amounts of money should be illegal because of all the poverty in the world, which I actually disagree with. I'd hope someone that well of would be generous and donate a lot, but it is their money and they can do what they want with it. Kardashians aren't on my radar much but if this robbery story is true I feel really horrible for Kim, not knowing if she was going to get raped or murdered.
I totally feel you on this! One of the biggest issues I've faced working in the sex industry is that I couldn't fully talk about it. Its not the shame of being naked or whatever, but I make more than most people I know. And for the ones who make more are professionals who have to follow strict protocols. I don't because I work for myself. Whenever I do talk about my day I can just feel the hostility pumping out of them. Or some have tried to shame me but really they were jealous. It used to really hurt but I had to change up my circle and say goodbye to some old friends. Looking back it was a healthy decision. So it is a bit strange when I see comments coming from people who partially make their money based on their looks, bash a beauty icon. Yes Kim K is a beauty icon. She's not my standard of beauty but I'm not in the majority so oh well. However she did look absolutely amazing during fashion week.
Its fire bb

What in the world?!?! Whats up with all this anger? Just because we're on an internet forum discussing Kim Kardashian doesn't make us any less woke. It's one topic on the world wide web. For all you know some of us may be on the politco forums or listening to NPR. Please stop being so accusatory and relax for a moment. You don't know anyone here or who we are as people. I sometimes come to threads like this because I want to talk about something silly and keep it lite. I got family from Florida to Caribbeans and I'm worried sick about them. But I can't do anything about that right now. So I'm gonna occupy my time looking at pretty pictures from fashion week.
I wonder if they will air it on their reality show...
Of course they will.
^^^ Deleted. And that was the point I was making: That it's not that serious.
*bows out of thread*
Lol, you are criticizing people for going on about Kim Kardashian's (4 mil btw)ring while you are here going on about it......
That's not called a 'fact' that's called an 'opinion.' I don't find them annoying at all.
Very condescending and rude. I've noticed your animosity in multiple threads now.
It's very obvious that this was not Ariel's actual opinion, she was citing a common attitude that can be found towards strippers from non-strippers.
I doubt that because Season 1 of Rob & Chyna is already done and being aired and they have not signed up for a 2nd season, so nothing is being filmed currently.
So where exactly is the line? Since there is poverty in the world, exactly how much does a house or car or piece of jewelry have to cost to cross over into being inappropriate? I'm sure you have some nice things that would make someone less fortunate than you jealous, does that mean you should not have them or should hide them completely for their sake? A lot of people can't afford/have a BMW and would love to be able to, does that mean no one should have a BMW?
If you're someone who has a passion for jewelry it wouldn't feel empty or valid. Look at Liz Taylor, that woman never stopped collecting jewels and her collection is famous.
This every day working person(me) doesn't find it hard to take, I also don't think there's anything wrong with people 'flaunting' their money which I guess is because I don't take what other people spend their money on personally. I also don't think Kim is talentless, she is obviously a very gifted businesswoman and that takes major skills. I never understand why so many people say that she 'does nothing' and is so 'talentless,' well then if it's actually that easy to become a multimillionaire why doesn't everyone else go out and become one?
^There isn't a line, or at least it varies for everyone I guess. It depends on your own personality and what you're into and what's important to you.
Essentially that's why we all do what we want regardless of other people's opinions; they are still going to have them though and the higher profile you are the louder the detractors get.
Fair point about having a passion for jewellery or whatever. I'm thinking of people who just spend for the sake of it... I mean purely to show that they can blow thousands on shit they admit they don't want or need. I've seen that and it is stupid and empty and wasteful and vapid to me, especially if it fails to make that person happier.
Personally I don't think in terms of who 'deserves' fame or success, because it's subjective... if the public are buying or consuming or following to the extent they do with anything Kim K related then that speaks for itself. I just think people will always resent anyone who becomes known through anything to do with sex, because society is hypocritical like that.
I'm not for or against her, I was just giving my thoughts on what I see happening. As for people being glad something horrible happened, that's fucked up. But I do see the world becoming more callous in that way, there's a lot of anger and hate swirling around and it gets misdirected.
