HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
EVERYONE, performers and customers PLEASE stay on the safe side and take this super seriously! The storm surge they are forecasting for the entire east coast of Florida AND Georgia and the southern half of South Carolina is NO JOKE. Up to 11 ft storm surge will EASILY cover to the roof of a single story home. 50% of people killed in storms succumb to surge So remember Katrina and take Matthew hella seriously!! And if that doesn't concern you, think of the tornadic conditions and cut your losses.

From someone who will be seeing it head on by tomorrow morning, thank you for the kind wishes. Fortunately I live far enough away from the water that flooding shouldn't be too bad at my house, but they are expecting devastating floods for anyone within a few miles of the coast. The forecast in my area is also calling for 100 mph hour winds with gusts up to 140 mph, so the wind damage will be extensive and the odds are very good that we are going to lose power for a long time. The biggest problem is that the storm is so big and is moving so slow that it is expected to stay on top of us for 24 solid hours.

Im on the southern coast of NC praying it goes out to sea.
Im not sure my old home can take the old trees and power lines are sure to go.
The city has been removing old dead trees that do not seem dead until they come down.

Website for Nat'l Hurricane Center is down
Re: HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
Had to evacuate my home. I live on a barrier island off the east coast of Florida. My house is more then likely under water with the storm surge.
Re: HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
My house not under water! Yaaay
Re: HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
Yay! I woke up this morning at 7 am surprised my AC was still on as I was sure I was going to lose power overnight. I still don't quite understand what happened but I am glad it did not hit my area. Best of luck and well wishes to everyone who does have the storm in their path. Stay safe!
Re: HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
It looks like we are dodging the worst of it here. We have some wind and a ton of rain, but it was not nearly as bad as predicted. The eye of the storm made a last minute course adjustment a little further to the east offshore, which was just enough to keep away the worst of the wind where I live. We still have power, though it was close a couple of times. The storm is starting to move north of us now. What a relief.
Re: HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
My husband just went out to our home. Just lost the pool pump shed to my neighbors tree. God I was convinced I was gonna be homeless and I was not looking forward to the FEMA process.
Re: HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
I just got power back, it's been off since 7am. I guess it could have been worse.
Re: HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
If it was 10 miles closer to the shore it could of.
Re: HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
Glad your house is ok Audri. I lost my rental to a natural disaster & I was pretty sad.
Re: HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
Older brother in St. Augustine had severe damage to his home. :(:(:( He's a dick but no one deserves that, especially not my little nieces.
Re: HURRICANE Matthew %&(&^$&*&*^%!!!!!
All's well in central GA thank god..........heavy rain for a little bit yesterday and it's windy today, but it's all under control. A friend of mine lives near the coast; her whole town is flooded and she had to evacuate her home. :(

So sorry to hear that. I hope insurance pays very quickly. Glad everyone is safe.
Holy Mackerel, we just lost a WALL and 2 windows! What the hell! It's only Cat 1 ! This is officially an epically bad strip trip. I got to figure out how to upload the video for y'all.
