Depends on the club. Technically dancers are independent contractors and therefore have the right to refuse any dances they wish, but in some clubs, the club does take a cut of dances and therefore wants as many dances done as possible. I have worked clubs before that among other things in their contract, you can't refuse dances without first consulting management. Usually if there is a legitimate reason (i.e. this customer smells like he shit himself and i don't wanna pick any of that up) it's fine, but if a girl is refusing to dance for any guys, or is turning down dances for no arguable reason, she'd probably get fired.
Strip clubs fire girls all the time though and use random excuses, so who knows if that is even the real reason.
At my club it is completely up to you who you approach and who you dance for, as long as you are working and trying to sell dances to someone. If someone requests you that you have a problem with you simply tell the floorman why and if it's a serious offense they will kick them out, if it's more of a personal issue they will just try to suggest another dancer.
I'd never work anywhere that required that. I think it's essential to be able to turn clients down who aren't a good fit.
Never worked anywhere that required that, and I wouldn't! That's my body , it's up to me. Now, it's rare that girls do that cause it's our job but I've worked w girls that only do stage. They don't last long but it's up to them
It is completely illegal to require dancers to dance for people who they done want to. Sounds like this club might have a lawsuit on their hands in the future.
Nope not required to do jack shit. I can take a nap my whole shift so long as they get their house fee.
I would never, ever work anywhere that they could TELL me to dance for guys or honestly any other rule aside from going on stage... I'm paying to be there, I'll hence do as I please.
I've never heard of a club that forces girls to do lapdances to anyone and I would never work at a club like that either. The only time I really turn down lapdances is if the guy is doing that thing where he won't go unless I say YES I WILL HAVE SEX WITH YOU, in that case I'll usually just walk away and not approach them again.
I don't think anyone should be forced to dance for someone they don't feel comfortable dancing for.
