Dealing with catty dancers?
I started at a new club. As soon as I entered the dressing room, literally 90% of the girls rolled their eyes and gave me the dirtiest looks and spoke about me like I wasn't even there. "UGH, hell no. Fucking new girls." Another had a full, loud ass conversation with her friend "She looks Asian and Mexican. Yeah she looks like this other ho ass dancer, bla bla bla." "Ugh, there aren't enough customers and I'm not sharing them with all these new bitches!"
I understand that dancers are catty but this is really petty and absurd. I've also heard chicks I've never seen a day in my life talk about me in the bathrooms about how they should "beat" my ass.
Should I just keep quiet, ignore them, and work or call them out on their shit? I know I'm not there to make friends and to be honest, it does get me down sometimes. I'm pretty sensitive at times and it hurts my feelings.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
Have you ever been to high school? If it's not effecting your money then don't make time for bs.People will always talk shit long as no one touches you, keep ignoring the birds & get your money.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
i've worked at a few places that were like this. i just get ready at home, so i walk in put my dress and heels on and get on the floor. motivation to stay making money. where i work right now i love a lot of the girls and sometimes we end up sitting and talking to long.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
OP, most dancers are bitches.Thats why I can never see myself speaking any other dancer while i am at work.Ignore them, pay them no mind, make your money, and leave.Remember these girls are your competition.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
Headphones are always the answer!
Put those bitches in, get ready fast, and ignore the hell out of them.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
As a matter of fact next time I start at a new club I'm going to walk into the dressing room for the first time with headphones already in ready to ignore the shit out people.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
Uggg why can't the rest dancers out there in the world be good like we are on this site?
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
Yea, we get this topic a fair amt, unfortunately..https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sh...bitchy-dancers
Older thread, but same idea..
It's only gotten worse w/the economy, etc.
But yea, what everyone said so far, just ignore, keep moving & make $.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
Well the best thing would to not give in to what they are saying. They are just immature and probably a bit insecure.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
Ignore them until they actually lay hands on you. Then unleash all hell.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
NYC strippers are just like that
Just walk in
Don't talk to anyone
Put your clothes on and do your job

Here's what you do.
Realize that they see you as competition, which is a good thing. It means you're hot. If you weren't, they wouldn't have made all that noise.
Ignore them. Don't let them upset you, don't feed into their drama. That's what they want. They'll see that they can't shake you and you'll become boring to them. They'll also see how you roll and back off. They are trying to throw you off your game, do don't let them. Smile, ignore, and make your money.
Do not call them out. It only perpetuates the cycle of drama. I know it's hard to ignore, but if they see they can't affect you, they'll stop. Good luck, I know it's tough.
And make sure all your stuff is locked up so they can't mess with your stuff.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
i find the divide between day and night girls to be huge. i try to ignore them when I work nights and keep to myself, my customers and sometimes my bar tender depending on who it is. i learned the hard way about gossip and cattyness. In general I'm a nice person, but if you're giving fake love I'm out.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
Are thee other clubs you can work at? If so I would switch. You don't HAVE TO stick it out there if you don't want. If you don't fit the ratchet club's office politics, it's no failure to walk away.

lol trust me not all the girls are good on this site.
My advice, if they talk shit it's because they found something about you worth noticing. The last cream puffy bitch who talked shit in front of me called me "ghetto."
I smiled & thought, You have NO idea.
Ignore them at first & if they keep talking, ask them why they are so in love with you....you don't even swing that way. lol
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
Lol if I worked at your club I would enjoy making them mad. I never start problems with anyone, I'm a top earner and I'm smart so when a bitter/catty dancer wants to start with me, I have fun. It's especially rewarding when I smile and flip my hair as I walk past them and into the vip to make money while they're standing there being bitter bitches.
Smile. Smile a lot. If they see that they took the smile off your face, they'll think they're winning.
Take the high road while playing nice-nasty. Don't instigate any fights, walk away from them if you have to. Just mind your business and work work work and make money while looking happy while you do it. That will piss them off because they'll see you are too strong to allow them to get under your skin.
If they get physical, obviously defend yourself right back. But try to focus on money, not them, and avoid altercations.

True lol meant some of us. But yea, sadly I wish all dancers would stick together but we all don't live in Unicornland.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
happy hoes aren't hating and hating hoes aren't happy ... not that you're a hoe ... just don't feed into negative behavior from other people, because if life was going swimmingly they simply wouldn't do it.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
i think i'm in the minority here, but no club is worth me getting potentially assaulted. don't get me wrong, i'm not scared. but I am scared I won't be able to return to work for a week because of a black eye or whatever else.
Plus I wear fake hair at work and i'm not about to have a bitch mess that up.
Catty comments? whatever. Saying they will jump you? no thanks.
Re: Dealing with catty dancers?
Lmao. It's so much truth & sense in what you're saying but I'll be damned. The one's with the most mouth who TALK about beating ass are normally just putting on a show. It's called scare tactics, grew up with tons of females like that. Now if they/she says they're going to beat your ass & then proceeds to swing that's when you can do 1 of 2 things: Either fight or take flight lol.
