It's kind of cool and artsy. They will never replace real strippers though
The mgtow crowd is gonna love that. LOL
I don't know.
I think what will ruin the adult industry is when virtual reality becomes so lifelike, all the senses, and someone creates artificial "in-game" intelligence to operate like a human would. So you are in a virtual game, with an intelligent computer program who delivers all your dreams. And the person is the person of your dreams.
I give it 30 to 50 years from now.
Well I would surely have to find somehting better than Botox to stretch my career that far any way!
Girl, I am not to worried about this. However, I would say that I have adapted to this "new tend" awhile ago. I have a growing clientele interested in fembots. So, I would say that this fetish community will grow more and more. I would adapt this new development because I really like robots and dolls. If I could make money off robots, chatbots, and other technological advance "dolls" sexting men up. Then I would :)
Yeah, we're like in the late 70s-early 80s, thinking of the greatest video game when the best thing out there is Galaga. Or in the early 60s (when the Internet was first discover), thinking of Ebay or facebook. 20 years before our time before anything is possible.
Now it doesn't mean I am not working on a novel about this idea though. It's basically about a guy who taps into a VLAN (logical switch network) on a secret server from another dimension (another Earth but a different society and time). **how the two dimensions made contact was through the power of a satellite energy surpassing light, and hitting a black hole, and the connection remain stable; I'll work on that concept later lol**The secondary character is about a born-male-but transgender woman who decided to mind upload to save him from the misery of never passing as a cisgender female, so he rather live in a secret world called Andromeda. The protagonist enters this world through virtual reality, but the woman he meets is real and part of that universe. And they fall in love, but it becomes a unrequited love because the two can never be together without one giving up their "life", either virtual or reality. There is a battle of the network frames and packets trying to interfere with the connection, with an evil female energy who keeps Andromeda trapped against her will who is only a mere program.
It's pretty much a sci-fi meets fantasy romance.
called, "PING TO ANDROMEDA"
It's just an idea at the moment.

Where one is just "simulated" in the network, the other exist as a whole in the network (her mind). The other cannot control the network, but the mind can create flowers or planets in the network.
She touches his face, with sadness in her eyes, "See, you're real. I am just a program now."
Also listen to this song... it kind of reminds me of my idea. Pretend Britney is the voice of Andromeda.

That's the M-theory (dimensions) combine with virtual reality, networks, black holes, holograms, and a network capable of creating planets/societies on its own like the Matrix, and time traveling, mind uploading (to save one from a physical death), artificial intelligence who are capable of creative thinking.
Lawd, I am so ahead of my time lol.
Seriously, what does your Gene Roddenberry-sque's ebook plug have to do with my post? I was address your original post about your unfounded fear towards sex robots and other technological beings replacing sex workers. I was making a point about catering to that demographic because they are growing larger and larger. However, robotics will not be changing the adult industry anytime soon. Also, if you want to start quoting robotic theories. Then maybe you can talk about Norbert Wiener's principles of cybernetics, Asimov's law of robotics, and Karel Čapek's brilliant (Rossum’s Universal Robots) Maybe stay on topic next time? ;)
Impressive, however I would not be quoting a string theory that is only 20 years old if I was you. S I mean if you are going to talk about the M-Theory....then why not address the F-theory (which covers 12 dimensional theories)? But then again, we might as well be talk about Twilight zone then? Again, this is going off topic but I wanted to answer this post :)
When talking about sex robots "replacing" women, people who are worried never seem to take into account male pyschology. Look some guys will prefer the fembots, but many guys, maybe most will like knowing they are with a human being, that they are having a shared experience. Also fembots will be seen as for "losers" so their will likely be a social stigma attached, which is unfortunate.
I actually give it 10 years, not 30 to 50.
The key is tactile sensation for VR, smell, sight, audio, even taste is easy to replicate with technology, but so far what passes for tactile is sad.
I think the key for tactile isn't a chip in the brain or full body gear, its to fool the brain into providing the sensations on its own. The brain is a Virtual Reality machine, it fills in the blanks all the time and filters out crap so you never experience the world as it directly is.
Some kind of Sythasia or something maybe, tricking the brain into interrupting visual, audiotory, and olfactory stimuli as tactile as well.
I've trained myself to visualize with tactile sensations, including orgasm already, so I know it can be don't. Break touch down into its components, its hot, cold, pressure, textuture, tingling, itchy, pain, and pleasure.
Correction:
Most of the sex robots designers are male and they do take men's psychology into account. Mainly, fembots will be for a small percentage of people who will enjoy them. Frankly, they will be tailor made like sex dolls and fulfilled men's most depraved fantasies. Most men who are into fembots are either fetishists, guys who do not have time for a relationship, necrophiles, weird kink guys, and others.(Fembots will be a safe way for necrophiles, pedophiles, and others to act out their "sexuality") Of course, they will have an stigma attached to them because they are not human and people find it odd to like/love non-human things. However, these "fembots" are great if you cater to that fetish or other darker fetishes. They will make my job pretty easy :)
In fairness, the "Real sex" dolls are already here- this would be the evolution of this. There will always be a market for real humans though.
