Re: changing 'your story'/avoiding having to tell it altogether
the nursing one seems to be where a lot of guys smell BS around here, which is why I haven't used it. I would say beauty school but I don't know if that sounds to shallow.
I need something sexy and non-threatening. Journalism sounds pretty harmless and the hot girls in movies always study journalism lol.
Re: changing 'your story'/avoiding having to tell it altogether
I just finished grad school but I tell them I'm an undergraduate student- that I only went back to school when I started dancing because I was bored all day long....
The whole premise of the question is you are personable and articulate enough to work a normal job why are you here?
When they ask how i started dancing, I tell them a fake story that is part true. I was a cook before. I made 15$/ hour to sweat over a grill, get yelled at by men, and work nights. Now i make 20$/Song. Actually saying, I felt I was worth more than 15$ and there was no opportunity for growth in my industry...That makes any Man who owns property and a nice car shut the fuck up.
Re: changing 'your story'/avoiding having to tell it altogether
I don't know where I read this...
but if there was a tip jar and it says
"tips for college/grad school" *nothing happened*
"tips for boob job" *and there was money*
Re: changing 'your story'/avoiding having to tell it altogether
Whenever guys ask what my parents think of what I do I always get tempted to say "my mum hates it and my dad's dead". I just end up saying they're fine with it

what a rude question! I used to get that one more often, I guess I'm starting to look old.
I think I'm going to change my whole persona and even my name when I start at a new club. Be the dumb blonde party bimbo and if they ask what's my story I'll be like "what do you mean? oh school, yeah sounds fun!!" and giggle and say "let's do another shot"
Re: changing 'your story'/avoiding having to tell it altogether
^basically what I do. Guys go there to be entertained and people wanna talk about themselves mostly, and the "what's your story" is usually just politeness..unless you can come up w a sexy, short, entertaining story I'd just ask more about them, or giggle and suggest more dances or drinks
Re: changing 'your story'/avoiding having to tell it altogether
I just thought of a rally cheese one "i'm an alien, put on this earth for your personal pleasure. Let's go to VIP!". I might pull this one when I'm tipsy.
Re: changing 'your story'/avoiding having to tell it altogether
I've been studying English for like nine years now, lol. I actually do have a degree in literature that I got twelve years ago, lol. So I can talk about it knowledgeably if they're into books which is really great with the right customers (my target market of older dudes often really dig it because it's non threatening but allows for better conversations that aren't so deep that it ruins the vibe) or if they want a more giggle and wiggle experience I just say I want to teach and smile. If you're at all into reading and have a decent knowledge of the classics it's a good fake major. I also ask for tips to "help me buy books for my classes." I'm getting old enough now though that I'm trying to decide what I should adjust my story to. I've thought about saying I was a trophy wife who married too young and then left my much older repressive husband because I wanted to live my life and be free. Cue booby shake.

If I tell them the truth (2 science degrees & in grad school limbo), you can feel the wallet dry up like the Sahara.
I have tried telling them a vague "Oh I got a degree, did a bunch of other jobs, hated it all, but really like dancing"... some let it go & some did this weird thing where they'd eye me up and then vehemently accuse me of lying and try to pry the truth out :banghead: So that CAN work, depending how interested they are or how much of a pompous ass they are.
I totally relate to this! Especially as I grow in my ambition in life, if I tell guys I have my MBA, travel the world, work on growing businesses outside work and do real estate investment; it starts to become very obvious that they probably won't be spending a ton of money... sometimes, anyhow. So I'm not as honest anymore, but I try and be genuine. I find if I dumb myself down too much I don't make as much, my brain/personality makes me 98% of my money honestly, so conversation is everything. But you want to keep it like.... they are still the coolest guy ever. lol
If a guy respects you too much, it really messes with his ability to spend money on you in a sexual manner; which is so weird to me.
Re: changing 'your story'/avoiding having to tell it altogether
I usually just end up cutting out major pieces of "my story" now and just telling a few things that I know they can't ask a million questions about. I also just tell guys I'm a gypsy and travel all the time now rather than going into the whole "where I'm from" thing..
Dancing is like speed dating x1000 every single night and telling the same things to so many people does get super annoying..
Re: changing 'your story'/avoiding having to tell it altogether
I really feel like even the "nicest" guys who ask about you STILL really want you to direct the conversation to sex.
I accidentally got my first Regular In Love by innocently telling him a sex secret I had recently learned by doing it.
Also this is why porn addicts are great spenders.
Re: changing 'your story'/avoiding having to tell it altogether
I think you should turn it around and ask them all the questions. And get a sad story. Something that makes a man feel like: damn, you so pretty, you been through so much, you deserve better, I wanna help You, here's my money.
