The worst, worst part is these asshole cabinet members Pumpkin Martini keeps nominating. That video made me cry. I half want to sell my house, return to Africa and work in a refuge until I die.
I have an overwhelming urge to start hunting humans and putting their heads on my wall. Assholes.
Well, hate to say it, but there's more: World's Largest Reindeer dying off @ alarming rate!:'(

The best that people can do is go vegan and buy eco-friendly sourced products. Habitats are being destroyed for farmland in order to raise animals for meat & dairy production. The vegan diet helps conserve land use. So much land is used for soy and corn production, most of which goes to feed cattle and other farm animals. It is completely unsustainable and makes no sense, when instead, humans could be eating the soy and corn directly, instead of feeding it to cattle for meat production. It takes so much more land, water, and resources to support a meat-eating diet than it does for vegan diets. Not to mention, the meat industry is one of the biggest causes of climate change. Conclusively, the meat industry is one of the biggest environmentally destructive industries on the planet, if not the biggest. Want to help conserve land and thereby help prevent wildlife from going extinct? Go vegan.

Global warming?
Thats what makes me want to scream is ol dude claiming he doesn't believe scientists who are experts that say global warming caused by dumb assed careless humans is threatening our ecosystem and environment.
It's all about money for those people. Let see who can destroy animal habitats to build the most skyscrapers. Who cares animals are going extinct as long as human comforts and profits are forefront it doesn't matter. smdh at these wreckless humans.
Yes! If you are referring to Trump or his "cabinet" choices, yes! This is what he believes. He also wants to revive the COAL industry (so 200 year old plus technology) to "bring jobs back to America". This is so freaking stupid for a thousand reasons. The top three (IMO as an economist) are 1st of foremost the pollution caused by burning fossil fuels costs more money to clean up (opportunity cost) than the added influx of money from people working the jobs it is going to create. 2. He is talking about bringing back manufacturing jobs which are some of the lowest paying jobs in the US (and also will cause even more pollution) when we really need SERVICE and TECHNICAL jobs; which pay a livable wage.
3. We will be better as a nation in 15 years if we try to MOVE forward with technological advances, new tech etc. as opposed to going back to how shit was done in my grandfather's era. If you look at the countries that have better economies than the US almost all of them have a good tech sector.
So, the respect I had for people who voted for Pumpkin Tini because he was "a good business man" is starting to wain as I see him doing dumb shit like this.
So while I agree with others that the individual choice to not use animal products/ pollute the environment and go Vegan DO help; I also think it is important we elect leaders who have a half a clue about anything related to environmental sustainability. I can't imagine what it is like in Al Gore's camp right now. He is probably going ape shit.
The world is not going to change. There's nothing we can do except adapt to this problem.

Sadly, it's not just the rich or those who benefit from fossil fuel industries. My mother, for instance has become a climate change denier! This is a woman with 3 degrees who was not this way in her youth. She was all about recycling and a number of popular conservation trends as a young Boomer. Now she's on some new sh*t and I notice a LOT of Boomers are aging and going into some bizarre denial of unpleasant realities.
The largest and arguably richest generation is using their power to pretend to turn back time and live in their bubble now that they have the money to do so.
Side note: Many of those old coal plants/mines closed because the seams are far too thin now. What I mean is that you need a big fat width of coal to mine. If there is too much rock mixed into what you drill, it is too inefficient to be worth it to the mine owner and actually dangerous to the miners! These workers have been told this but can't accept that the ride is over. Sure enough many very young miners (30s) are having catastrophic health issues. But they won't take no for an answer.
Interesting.
I wanted to claw my relatives face out when we went to a local aquarium (which I'm not a fan of animals in captivity for human entertainment but they forced me to go) and this relative (a grown adult) straight up argued with what looked like college intern who suggested we should reduce plastic use because it's not biodegradable and so they don't end up in oceans/lakes/etc damaging the ecosystem of the fish most of us humans end up eating.
Like why are you arguing with a kid basically ruining their presentation and why do you think you know more about the ecosystem than the people who study that shit for years?
My relatives stance is to keep using plastic bottles and plastic bags because it's super convenient and hey when you're rich why not?!?
I think that's what it is. Especially when you're rich you don't want to be inconvenienced or have to worry about worldly problems. And maybe a bit of narcissism like their actions aren't causing an immediate demise they can see so they can stay in denial.
Travelled to Hawaii and they've restricted plastic bag use at many of their retail stores and encouraging paper or reusable bags.
I also find it ironic US is trying to compete with some of the Asian countries which grown so fast that they have so much pollution people walk around with masks on their face like it's nothing.
It's part of the world's conditioning on privilege to believe waste is an expression of wealth, exploiting others is an expression of wealth.

It's insane to me when people deny climate change - I mean sure, to each their own etc and ignorance is bliss, but it's so apparent that it's happening ... our seasons are dramatically different from how they used to be and constantly shifting ...
Makes me really sad to hear about animals and breeds dying out because they are the last creatures that contributed to all this. We as humans singlehandedly fucked shit up.
Between this and Trump's non-stop rambling about Nuclear bombs on twitter, I am seriously terrified.
All I keep thinking is .... Jesus take the wheel.
I promise I've never laughed as hard at the multiple posts on stripperweb (here, petty annoyance, lounge, ladies only) as I have in the past week tho. Like logging in with popcorn and 3D glasses this is the best entertainment of the week! Totally made me forget about the current shit show called life.
