What kind of gps is it using? Is this an app? I always just use apple maps or google maps for the most accurate gps data. My car gps uses this software that requires expensive updates and it's still not accurate so I never use it.
But yeah you should have a setting in your phone where you can turn off your location. Or go to the app setting and turn off the location or only allow your location to be accessed while using the app.
If all else fails you can try backing up you phone data and resetting phone to factory default settings.
If you're not tech savvy call customer support (where you bought the phone) and see if they can help you.
I know apple map stores the past locations you entered so maybe google maps is same way.
It could also be just using your home contact info if this was your previous home address.
Both of which you can delete if you want.
