how come some clubs have auditions every day?
hey! I'm considering stripping to save up money while I go through school. I've been reading the threads here and have been calling a few clubs to ask about auditions.
What I'm confused about is that some clubs have auditions Mon-Fri pretty much most of the day. Does that mean that the dancers there aren't long term? Do dancers jump from one club to the other, basically coming in/leaving a club whenever they feel like it?

Yeah, basically. Turnover rate is extremely high (lots of girls quit after a few shifts) and most of us who end up dancing long term will bounce around from club to club. In the city where I live there are 4 clubs I rotate between and I also travel to other states/cities whenever I feel like it. That kind of thing is pretty common although I've known girls who stick with just one club and stay there for years- that's kinda rare ime
Sounds like you can just show up whenever, get hired and work that same night, then come back whenever you feel like it. Unless they have a schedule.. but most places don't.

Just because you can audition every day doesn't mean clubs are actually holding auditions and hiring dancers every day.
Most clubs are always willing to hire new dancers (caveat that some are picky and won't just hire anyone that auditions) since at the very least it means more house fees, and possibly more if they get a cut of your earnings. Unless they're a very popular club that can afford to be extremely picky and/or only hire at certain times, it's not uncommon for clubs to always be hiring/auditioning. It doesn't hurt that dancing does indeed tend to be a very transient industry, so many dancers bounce from club to club.
I wouldn't really worry about whether a club does auditions often or not. It doesn't really mean much. Just go wherever strikes your fancy and know that you can always leave if you don't end up liking it. Good luck!
