Location, Location, Location. Which cities/clubs make the most money?
Currently, I work in Tampa, FL at Scores and at Penthouse.
The strip club capital of the world, WOW!
No, we suck. Don't come down here...
It's pretty crappy down here especially when it's supposed to be our busiest season.
I am making roughly $200 - $300 nightly. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
We are not a nude club, which means that we serve alcohol, wear pasties and close at 3am, while the nude clubs are juice bars and are open until 6am.
Thus, said. I want out and I want to join you all and help us both make money! Where do you work at, which city is it in and what is the usual amount that you bring home?

Re: Location, Location, Location. Which cities/clubs make the most money?
In your personal experience, is moving to another state worth it? Does it seem hard to find a nice place to dance- nice coworkers, good paying customers, good money just hard to find these days?
My club has gone downhill, but unless I go to Minnesota I can't see myself moving again. I've moved a couple times and it was a positive experience to have better management, but money seems to be the same here in the Midwest at every club. In my personal experience, the upscale clubs leaned towards being extras club and management thinks you are a dime a dozen so they aren't very nice.
My friend has been dancing for over 15 years and she has a lot of good friends all over the US. She said back in the day ??? it use to be you could dance and save for retirement. It was a life changing amount, but now n days it seem all stripping does is let you live a little bit better lifestyle.
i mean chase your dreams, but I've never seen anyone win in the long-term by club hopping. I think it's definitely a good idea to work in a respectful work environment and to move to be healthier.
I'm of the opinion it's one half dozen of the other. My lease is up so I thought about moving, but I can't afford to waste my time when I could be going to school or finding another long term solution. I think traveling is good if you can afford the risk and are looking for new experiences, but it seems to be a dead end financially. It's expensive to travel and move!!!

I work in Tampa and I average at least $500 if I work a 4-hour shift. My whole thing is, it's not where you're at, but how you hustle.

Re: Location, Location, Location. Which cities/clubs make the most money?
Trust your instincts. Go to school. Think about your long term future. Find a real job. A real job won't pay as much, but you will get pay slips and proof of income to finance a house and build good credit and equity. Home equity is historically the fastest way to build wealth.
Dancing makes money but it does not build wealth because you tend to spend the money as fast as you make it. You tend to rely heavily on living in safe and expensive neighbourhoods close to work or spending on cabs. You also spend money cash on medical expenses. Eventually, you're older, and you wonder what the f*** happened to all the long nights and rejection to to make money.

I'm quite content with my suburban stripper status.

Re: Location, Location, Location. Which cities/clubs make the most money?
My take on it is- places with little else to do & clubs outside of city limits.
A LOT of girls can't structure their whole lives around maxing out income though. If you can go to the money great but save some of it. The lifestyle of being on the road & full time dancing isn't easy. The restaurant meals get tiresome. Your body will rebel against the work injuries, the late nights & the road food.

Re: Location, Location, Location. Which cities/clubs make the most money?
I think it is a little bit of both! You have to know how to hussle when the money is there. But, sometimes the money just isn't there and you can't do anything about it.

Re: Location, Location, Location. Which cities/clubs make the most money?
I am thinking of going to Tampa for a week in July to check it out, is it slow or busy there this time of the year? When is usually a good time to work there?

Re: Location, Location, Location. Which cities/clubs make the most money?
Thank you, everyone, for coming back to this forum post! <3
I know that I haven't been active for a while, just due to life, but these tips help out a lot.
I have had more luck as of late, I just switched to nude clubs as they're the only way to make a lot of money without ripping someone's arm off.
It is all about studying and focusing yourself to a higher goal which is my intention and after all of this is done hopefully by the time that I'm 30 I will hang up my shoes next to my Ph.D, try to recover my faith in men, and really start making something of myself. But until then I want the maximum amount of money if I'm doing this malarkey!

Only come here if you already are coming here for another reason. We're slow right now, it's not terrible, but it's pretty bad and it's only going to get worse.
June - August are going to be the worst (and it just started, ugh!)
I would come back for September through early November. Skip late November and December (the holidays) and come back on January and go through April.

Don't come to Tampa in the summer. All the snowbirds we rely on to spend money have gone home and all the traveling dancers want to come here... fewer customers plus extra girls makes for a terribly bad season. Football season picks it up again, holidays slow it back down. I would say Memorial Day weekend marks the start of "summer" and after that weekend the struggle is REAL.

Re: Location, Location, Location. Which cities/clubs make the most money?
IMHO it doesn't matter where you are- the industry as a whole has gone down to the point where $200-$300 nights are now the norm as opposed to $5-600 nights like back in the day. 12 years in the industry and I've watched overall earnings go down every year. I still do really well and average about $1600-$2000 a week, but I'm a hardcore hustler and I work my ass off , never sitting in the dressing room or on the floor on my phone looking pissy lol.
I've worked all over the US, and made roughly the same amount everywhere. Except in Maine. Never go to Maine.
I'm currently in Massachusetts and making bank, but due to family issues I have to move to Knoxville, TN. Never been there before so if anyone has any experience there let me know!' XO

I'd say West Palm is a good town to try. I know a few ladies who are happy with it. I believe it's more money than Tampa.

You're averaging $200-$300? Is that after house fees? That is an amount to be thankful for!!! I'm in Chicago where thats all you make and it's the price you pay for house. So really you go home with nothing. Be grateful you're making that much. It's really not bad!

She is greatful but she is also ambitious mama. Pointing out averages and earning potentials in different places doesn't make anyone any less thankful for even the smallest penny. This is a business and businesses work by calculating numbers.

Agree! I work in Florida right now as well and my average is $500-700 with $300 being a rough night. I was terrified to begin working here because of how bad it seemed on here. If you find a decent place you feel GOOD at, stick to it for a bit. I've worked at clubs all over - I notice that the clubs I feel even slightly weird in or uncomfortable in - no matter how divey or fancy it is, I start to decline to $200-300 sometimes even less. Your confidence and happiness somewhere will show.
That being said; my manager was just in Vegas and said those girls appear to be making lots and lots. But then again, he'll also tell us to come in on a Sunday bc we will make 'lots and lots'
plot twist: he just wants girls in on slowday lol

Re: Location, Location, Location. Which cities/clubs make the most money?
Your location plays a factor in your earnings, as well as the quality of the club you're working in. You can't reasonably expect to strip at a dive in the middle of nowhere and make $1k/night. I've done very well in South Florida thanks to my hustle and work ethic. There are A LOT of extras here, particularly in Miami although Broward is cleaner. If you have sales skills, the gift of gab, and you're attractive and in shape, you'll make good money anywhere. No, stripping isn't what it used to be pre-2005 which means a pretty face and a dry "wanna dance?" hustle isn't going to get you anywhere, but there are still countless girls who are banking on a consistent basis.
So long as there are men with a wallet and a pulse, I'll be making money.

I bookmarked "100 best US Cities to Live in" from Money mag..
A lot of them don't seem like great sc locations, but I could be wrong
