Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
[FONT=comic sans ms][SIZE=5]
Hello Everyone!
As Im sure we're all aware, we put ourselves at risk of being filmed during shows on streamate and videos being posted of us online. Im wondering what the route is for getting them taken down? I know usually theres a DCIM and steps to follow however some sites I found videos of myself on, I dont see that at all. Ive been trying to flag videos of myself Ive found on a handfuls of websites for the last few years but they havent been removed. Ive asked streamate for help and the videos are still there. Lately, Ive been trying to report the videos more than usual and now they're showing up higher on google search. Im so upset over this, and feel like Ive exhausted all my options. I would really appreciate some help. Like I said, Ive been trying for years. I would SO greatly appreciate ANY help. Thanks SO much!!!
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
well ive had 2 affiliates who took one of my exclusive videos from the archives (although liz denies it) and used it to promo their own affiliate sites. Its been posted on about 3 dozen porn sites. and viewed over 100 times. All stamped with the affiliate logo on it. I had liz contacting the sites at first but then gave up. Has been viewed over 100k times by now.
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
Please edit your post ASAP and delete the sites urls as we do not want anymore creepos to find illegal content
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
thanks for removing the site links so quickly OP
if a site stealing your content doesn't have a dmca link, you can send it to their host. If their host complies with the dmca (not all do, although ethically they should regardless of whether they are legally obligated) they'll demand that the site remove the material
to find the host go here: and enter the domain name. then click the box for 'network whois record' then click go. use the contact email in the results to send your dmca
if you're new to writing one, this link provides a template
if the page(s) with the stolen content appear in the google serps, you can send a dmca to remove the url from google search using this link:
good luck and welcome to sw :)
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
Thank you so much everyone. Loveshooks, I just submitted requests with the info you provided. Thank you SO MUCH. I hope to have them taken down immediately. I will keep you all posted. Thank you so much!
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
If these are SM privates you can also let Liz remove them. Thats what I do.
Some tube sites ask for your legal info (name, address). I NEVER give it :)
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
Yes I was filmed while in private sessions on Streamate. I've asked SM to deleted them or help and all they wrote is that the requests for removal have been sent. That was weeks ago. I know what you mean about the sites asking for legal info and your name etc. That freaks me out. I did what loveshooks suggested last night and the host provider wrote back and said they need my ID card. Has anyone provided the host your ID before? Also they said they can't remove the videos but they will notify their client of illegal infringement.
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
want to make clear I am not an attorney obviously, the following is simply my understanding of the dmca:
under the dcma you are not required to provide photo ID or your full legal name
this is the exact wording:
17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3):
(i) A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed...
(iv) Information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and, if available, an electronic mail address at which the complaining party may be contacted.
No where does it state that a dmca require ID or full legal name. In putting your cam name I see that as fulfilling the spirit of the law. and I have never had a host request photo ID. generally companies that do this are just dicking you around.
sorry you're dealing with this. if you don't mind posting it, who is the host?
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
The host is PheonixNAP. They have a DCMA form on their site I just noticed which doesn't require a copy of photo ID so i'm not sure why they would emaIL me back requesting it. Their form to submit the DCMA does however require my street address, full name and phone number. I'm not okay to submit that. I agree, I feel as though me emailing a statement, providing my name, streamate name and an email is enough especially after reading what you posted above.
I'm feel like I'm begging to have them removed. I replied indicating that for obvious reasons and the sensitivity of the videos and what I do, I don't feel comfortable sending my ID. I'm upset over videos of me on the Internet and now they want a copy of my actual ID? No way! Lol
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
definitely don't send ID. and the address and name need not be your own, as per the dcma and the info on their own website, you can authorize someone to act on your behalf
the host is US-based so this should be pretty straight-forward. they are legally obligated to take down infringing content
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
I need to give a huge shoutout to loveshooks! Thank you so much for all your help and guidance. I can happily say that the videos/links have been removed. Thank you SO SO MUCH!!!!!:)

Thank you so much for posting this info. An escort in Atlanta near a suburb where I plan to be moving to soon, is using MY FACE PICS to post her escort adds! Pics of me when I was new to this business back in 2008, and didnt know about watermarking. I am absolutely mortified that a customer of mine in a nearby area to mine, contacting me on NF tonight to tell me about these adds. I'm glad he told me or I likely wouldn't know. I just sent the dcma to google and to CL host and I hope they take it down and suspend her fuckin account. Thanks again. This has been helpful.
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
Ladies and gents, that is the reason why I'm using a wig on that website! When I heard how less percents they give and how they record our stuff shamelessly I directly ordered a wig before I started there! Yikes nope.
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
This is an important reminder to READ THE AGREEMENTS that you sign when you decide to stream on a cam site. Streamate owns all recordings that happen while you stream on their site, and (unless you are geo-restricted) they legally have the rights to use those videos however they want. It's their property, not yours unfortunately. Then you have to deal with the pain in the ass that is trying to get them removed... unfortunately not all of them will be removed from the big tubesites- especially if they are through an affiliate label because they are signed up through the content programs and have the rights to use the streams from Streamate.
Sorry you had to deal with it and yay for getting them taken down! :)
Re: Help!!!! Videos on google- copyright infringement
Ivy is right, if your show was recorded without your knowledge by a client its one things to get that taken down (One long shitty thing), its another to know that streamate can legally record you whenever they want and use it for site promotion, and will. Not all sites will take down, either.
I had one really REALLY awful video from when I first started I just HATED knowing was out there, it usually comes with the territory but this one I wanted /gone/ and they just wouldn't. After a month, I emailed them saying I was underage at the time and it was removed.
I hated it, but that wasn't anything they wanted to deal with..
But nits best to get comfortable with the idea of your videos being out there, especially when you work for streamate, because they have the right to ANYTHING you do on their site and can upload it wherever they please, sadly.
All sites do, but Streamate is the one I found that really really milks this.
Above all NEVER EVER do/say anything on cam you aren't comfortable with getting leaked online. Go non-nude or wear a mask if you want. But this wont stop.
