I have been eating a really shitty diet, not exercising.
Acne like this is also caused by inflammation. Acne in general is an inflammatory disease. Eating an anti inflammatory diet and dairy free diet helps me immensely. I incorporate fish oil, coconut oil and green tea into my routine as well as multivitamins and zinc. Anyone ever used tissue salts? I have read a lot about these and they are essential salts and those with acne are deficient in certain salts. They also make certain tissue salts for every ailment from arthritis to hormonal imbalances.
Nothing topical works for me so I know it is all about my diet, hormones, stress and gut heath.
I read a lot about traditional Chinese medicine, ayurvedic medicine and ancient Greek medicine and although western medicine will deny that alternative medicines are b's, the theories make so much more sense to me. Reading about how other ancient medicines would address the issue offers a different perspective that helped my acne.
Ridding toxins from the body and your orgams helps. Organic Apple cider vinegar really helps the liver and will help with many ailments. Take 1 tablespoon with lukewarm water on an empty stomach. If you cannot take the taste, a half of lemon pretty much offers the same benefits. Dry brushing helps move stagnant lymph thru your lymph nodes. Unlike the heart, your lymph does not have a pump to move it thru the body. Dry brushing and exercise moves lymph. Stagnant lymph will not aid in the removal of toxins.
Taking a soak in Epsom salt, sea salt or even baking soda cleanses as well. Epsom salt it's especially helpful because it contains magnesium..many acne sufferers are deficient in magnesium. Sea salt is packed with trace minerals. A magnesium supplement will usually get destroyed in digestion, soaking allows the magnesium to enter your body thru skin. Even soaking your feet for 20 mins will allow your body to absorb.
And of course we all know tons of water only helps our bodies. Now, if I could only practice what I preach lol.
Side rant, I am Jewish ethnicity and get dark spots...I apply Lemon juice to fade the spots but am not strict about it. I have been thinking of doing red light therapy at a tanning salon which I have read helps with acne and spots (reduces inflammation) I refuse to tan to preserve my skin. Anyone do red light tanning? Your experiences?
Topically I have found nearly every store bought product does not help. I remove makeup with organic cold pressed coconut oil, cleanse gently with backing soda or sea salt, and tone with my best friend Apple cider vinegar. I spot treat with tea tree oil. Cutting out products has helped and also keeps me looking young at 35 I can pass for years younger. I give the vinegar and oils credit for this one.
Yet, I do not practice what I preach so I still have acne. I am looking to get back into dancing so must resistive this asap, or wear a fishnet top with bikini top over it to mask the appearance lol.
