New to the ATL scene
Hello everyone!
I've been lurking here for a few days before I finally decided to post, so I suppose this is my introduction post as well as me asking for some advice. Quick little introduction, I am a college student getting ready to graduate in about a year and plan on moving to the Atlanta area for a few years after graduation to prepare to move out-of-state. I'm really into crafting, makeup, and lots of nerdy stuff like anime and video games.
Anyway, I live roughly in central GA and my friend and I are looking into commuting to Atlanta to work since there's no real money in the clubs in our area. We were hoping to get hired at the same place, whether we're being realistic or not. We're both black; I'm nearly 6 foot, light-skinned with an almost ambiguous appearance, and skinny but not athletic-looking, and she's average height, medium-dark-skinned, and slim with a ton of curves.
So our question is, what's the best way for two out-of-towners to go about getting hired around here? I understand you need a permit to work in Atlanta, but that's not much of a problem for us. In our area you can literally just walk into a club and ask for an audition, so would it be the same in Atl, or would we need to call around and ask? Would we have more luck at black clubs, or are there more diverse places that would possibly be interested in us? Any other advice you want to share is more than welcome. ;D

Re: New to the ATL scene
if both of you are 21, you can walk into any club in Atlanta and ask to audition, I would recommend early on a Thursday evening. Once you get hired, you will get the paperwork to take to City Hall, and they will process your license/payment from there. The permit is good for one club for one year. good luck!

Since you're both black you shouldn't go in together because it's harder to get hired. Try the Cheetah if you like classy.
