bad mental health days and glamour modelling question
Im venting! So I had to take a couple of days off work with a virus, but I thought I had better go in yestoday as I didnt know if the club was one that is a bit iffy about days off. Earlier that day I had just spent the whole time in bed crying and could barely walk, but I dragged myself to work. When I got there I just felt like shit I could barely stay awake and couldnt approach customers at all like I usually can. I made no money and left early, and i feel like such an idiot because of it. I mean I obviously wasnt well and probably shouldnt have gone in but Im worried about what other people thought and Im worried it will happen again. Has anyone had mental health issues while at work?
my other question is that I recently quit my vanilla job so I decided to apply to a glamour modelling agency. They asked me to do a test shoot with an independent photographer as I had no professional photos, which I did, but they said I would have to pay the photographer for retouching in order for the photographs to go up on the website and its really expensive, Im talking hundreds. Ive heard this is a red flag in fashion modelling and that legitimate agencies are free but Im not sure if this is just for fashion modelling, and that glamour modelling is an expensive business? Is there anyone on here that has any experience of glamour modelling? (all the information I found online is about fashion modelling)
sorry if I sound niave I just dont want to make any wrong decisions

Scam
Glamour Modelling Agencies are generally a scam to begin with & a gateway into doing porn shoots. There are plenty of scams that go on in the fashion modeling agencies too. Even legit ones & all the fees taken out & the models make very little & have to hunt down their checks.

Re: bad mental health days and glamour modelling question
what the hell is "glamour modeling"? sounds like a load of shit to me. according to google it's just a fancy way of saying nude modeling in which case... you should never have to pay anyone. they should be paying you.
Re: bad mental health days and glamour modelling question
These scams have been going on for decades with no slowing down anytime soon.
They fool lots of young ladies, you are their target.
As a model, a bad mood or any illness can be seen by the camera. If you want great pics, wait till you are better mentally & physically. With Adobe photoshop app & a selfie stick you can create great pics yourself. Not to mention it is great as practice for real shoots.
Glamour modeling means porn but used to make it seem like it isn't.
Re: bad mental health days and glamour modelling question
Girl I've had mental health issues for so long I've become a pro at managing them so that I can work. I feel like I finally beat depression, but I still have days ya know. When those days come, I know that if I go in, I will be a miserable mess, and I don't go, and I take care of myself instead. It's helped a lot. Sometimes, I've gotta take a self care day (or week, lol) and really, really focus on myself in a healing and introspective way.
Also, never pay a photographer for any kind of labor that 1. you could do yourself or 2. you should be the one getting paid for. Retouching photos is easy after you learn photoshop. Sounds like a scam. And any type of glamour modelling, you should never pay the photographer, because they are either just preying on pretty girls to photograph, or they are selling a product to customers, and YOU should be getting paid for that. I did some glamour modelling when I was 19/20 and learned my lesson real quick about that industry.

Glamour modelling has been a hard place to make money money for years, it hasn't been decent since the Jordan days, the internet has ruined it and many of the magazines has gone out of print. If you don't mind be naked in public maybe try one of babe channels, I used to hang with a bunch of girls who did them its steady money but everyone see's you. Don't worry about what anybody thinks , just try to keep well, I hope things get better for you. Dancing in the UK is tough.
