Thanks! It did get better. And I'm getting a re-touch in July.

I am going to get my eyebrows microbladed in a week and a half. I am super excited. The one that's gonna do my eyebrows told me right from the start that they won't last more than 6-8 months because I got oily skin and because the creams/ makeup removers/ exfoliators, etc I use in my daily routines, are also making the process of fading faster. And it makes sense.
But I'm cool with that, so.. no issue here. I got tired of doing my eyebrows in weekends, when I want to stay make up free, especially now when summer is coming.
I'll come back with before and afters. Anyway I live in the eastern europe, here a high quality microblading procedure costs about $300. Wich is cheap af.
As I promised, I am back!
So... I used to really tweeze my brows, because i didn't like their natural shape, so i can draw them lifted and straight, with a brow gel.
The artist who done my brows, followed my natural bone structure and they came out very long and thick.
I can tell, I've done them 2 days ago, they look great, but I have a love- hate relationship with them, because I was used so many years to have them thin and short and now I suddenly have them long and thick and I guess I need to get used to them. Since they are healing and they are definately darker than before, I feel like I have 2 pieces of charcoal above my eyes lol.
The pain level? Considering I was on period and I lasted, it was ok. Just very very little pain. Let's say that is extremely simmilar with tweezing.
In 4 weeks I will have the touch up and I come back with new pics by then.

Cutie101, they look fantastic! Gia too. You girls have pretty eyes. :)
Shit. I think I might want to do this.
Attachment 50099I had mine done in February of this year (2018).
I liked it the first couple days until I made the mistake. After they were flaking, most of my pigment left the skin (which meaning I had a lot of patches. I asked for a refund because many said that it wasn’t normal with what my brows went through so soon. My right one looks good without a touchup, but my left one is about gone. They’re both fading and I’m actually thinking of just a permanent tattoo. I was so disappointed. I was also blocked from the Facebook page after stating my side..
The tech never really explained anything to me either on the process (I drove 35-40 minutes to the place as well).
I would proceed with caution and I would also research the techs!
The photo I attached was when it started to flake off
WOW... mine flaked too, but is normal because the tattoo is healing... also is normal to get almost invisible after flaking. But the pigment should come back out to the surface in at least 2 months. But is not normal what happened to you. Obivously they used a low quality pigment or bad tools...
Ok, this is how mine were looking when they started to flake, after they flaked and how they look now, 1 month after the procedure. Actually this weekend I will have my final touch up.
Please excuse the pimples, after the procedure I kinda struggled with some pimples and also some "heavy" form of seboreic dermatitis, on that brow (probably more sensitive). I was usually having seboreic dermatitis on it and was ocassionaly flaking, but only on a single spot, not the entire brow, but I blame the procedure. Afterall, I have been scratched with a blade with tiny needles :)).

My technician is using latest generation pigments and tools and actually reccomended me to wash the area 3 times a day and use a special balm, that he gave me, on my brows, so they have as little flaking as possible and heal fast. But I did what he said, even tho, on internet is not reccomended to wash for 10 days. And I asked why and he said it's because those pigments he's using, need washing. So, you do what YOUR technician says, because he/ she knows better what kind of products is using.
The brows become invisible because the pigment is hidden under the skin, while the skin is healing, the pigment will come out on the surface. This usually takes 2 months after the touch up (after 2 months the final result will be actually seen), but he said he had customers that healed in 4 months and customers who healed in only 3 weeks. Each person is different. Also, he told me that those who guarantee you a certain time of tattoo resistance, are not professionals. Because each individual is different, with different healing, different skin type, different lifestyle and skin care routine. So, different people can have the procedure lasting for 6 months, while on others, it lasts almost 2 years. Procedure done at same saloon.
So, Sophia, don't be discouraged. Try again and look for someone better, I am sure you will have luck! I'm sorry you have been trough this, it's really dissapointing, but don't give up! God knows how grateful I am for my new brows. I don't do them anymore, I don't struggle 10 minutes per day to shape them with gel, I don't feel uncoscious about myself when I need to go out makeup free, because I don't have eyebrows!
I keep you the fingers crossed!
I'll come up with results, after the touch up, next week and an update in september!
Oh, forgot to ask you Sophia... As I can see, you don't really have brows either... actually less than I do :(((.
Have you considered trying powdering technique? My technician's wife is using powder technique because microblading doesn't last on her eyebrows at all, because she does have 0 brows (the pigment doesn't have something to "stick" to, since it's not very deep in the skin) and also she has a very oily skin with worse form of seboreic dermatitis than I do. Powder lasts way more, the only "inconvenient" is that the brow is looking like it had some professional makeup shaping and not that "natural hair" look.
The advantage: lasts more than microblading, you don't need touch up and the healing is faster with less flaking.
I took this pic from the internet, but this is the difference I am talking about.
I am actually gonna try this too, next year, when my microblading is fading...

Every time i see this topic i get a mental image of people skating on little tiny rollerblades.
Back with an update. I had my touch up 2 days ago. Basically, from now, I'll see how much the microblading will last. Since I have seboreic dermatitis and an oily skin, I might not make it past 6- 8 months. Good thing is that my technician said that, since my brows are STILL, miraculously, growing back after so many years of agressive pucking, I won't need a full microblading next time, but only some touch up here and there, to have a nice shape. I'll probably try some powder technique... I'll see.
Now I am waiting for the brows to heal again, from today they should start flaking and getting crusty, then become invisible again, then have the pigment coming back out. The final result should be visible by september. Of course, I'll come back with an update.

How did you ladies find your technician? I've been looking into it & it seems like there's tons of girls who just operate solo & only have an IG... no website even... and they rent suites in salons, so there's no larger business to back them up. I know that's the trend now (rent a suite, only use IG/social media) and it's fine for hair & nails, but facial tattooing... I'm nervous of getting some fly-by-night girl or something, lol
In my case, my technician is a good friend of mine so it was easy to trust. But he has his own salon and everything.
I guess you have to look for salons who offer microblading services, they have an active instagram or facebook page where they post real pics of clients with the procedures, also, look for reviews. Always.
I wouldn't trust either, those ladies who offer their services only trough social media. I mean, I get it, maybe some are really good at what they do and they work solo, by not belonging to a salon. But I prefer an employee of a salon, because, if something goes wrong, I could sue them or go there in person and shit in their heads :)))
So, I guess you just have to keep looking. Don't be afraid to look for services in nearby cities, if you find something that looks really good and it's legit.
To have my eyebrows microbladed, I had to drive 4 hours away and sleep in a hotel over night, to my technician's city, because we don't live in same area. The good part is that I only had to do it twice. And then once a year or something, when I need to re-touch.
What are other options for brows? My gf in vegas says she had something done but it was something I never heard before! I'm trying to figure out what it was
A family member does it for a living, make sure you are going to a reputable salon with a portfolio. Do NOT skimp on research and price if necessary, a bad job is difficult to fix and will look awful.... you are getting ink tatted or cut onto your face, don't be stupid!!
A good artist will shape your brows first so you can see how they look before you get them done, and use good materials etc
Not everyone is a good candidate and it will get dark, light and then look normal. Touch ups may be needed. But everyone who has had it done has LOVED it.
Maybe try getting your brows henna'd if you want to see how it looks first.
I got it a year and a half ago. And one of the best in the biz did it. Don't waste your money, get a good tattooer!
