Working from a bed - where to put your computer/camera
I finally have a bed again, but I can't figure out where to put my computer and camera. I am basically redecorating my whole apartment. eventually I will be also camming from my living room.
but for my bedroom I am looking to get a desk my options are to get one that will be on the side of my bed or to get one that will be at the foot of my bed.
I am wondering which way would be best. whatever I pick means I have limited space and also I don't really want to change it around too much unless I am really board.
Re: Working from a bed - where to put your computer/camera
Can you get a side table type of thing?
I'm thinking maybe similar to one of those things that goes over a hospital bed, not exactly of course.
You may have to set the lappie on a riser too, or a laptop lap desk maybe
Re: Working from a bed - where to put your computer/camera
when i cam on my bed i just try to have the cam slightly above the bed and on something so it won't shake around while i move on the bed. i play around with different stuff, sometimes i set it on a chair in front of the bed or sometimes i'll use my nightstand.

Depending on the height, you can stack up totes to the right height or use a dresser.
Re: Working from a bed - where to put your computer/camera
I was thinking of having one of these at the foot of the bed
http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/70245339/
with big monitors on top and the desktops under it.
or the side of the bed a standing desk
http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/S49084965/
big monitors on top and desktops at the bottom.
I've been working with tv trays at the side of the bed its' hurting me.
I am looking into figuring out how i can move around more so I can not be in so much pain when I work.
Plus next month I will be setting up 8 voyeur cams so the whole place will cams and computers all over.
Re: Working from a bed - where to put your computer/camera
I am working from the bed and I am having the pc with the desk, in front of the bed. I basically sit on the bed, like i sit on the chair.
I have a wheeled desk, so I can easily push is aside if I want to get up. I don't reccomend static ones, they are a pain in the ass.
Also, try to get a desk that is not really tall, because it's gonna get your neck hurt when you look up at the monitor, if you want to lay on the side, in the bed.
Another option would be to use a TV instead of a monitor and simply put it on the wall, at your eye level (or on a drawer like this http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/20360464/), so u can cam comfy from the bed.
Re: Working from a bed - where to put your computer/camera
I read the last comment of yours and I realise my sugestion may not fit your requirements, since you want to add all those monitors and cameras :))).
Re: Working from a bed - where to put your computer/camera
I have worked from the bed 90% of my cam life. I have tried so many things, but I cannot sit still an love to move around. I have a Logitech Lapdesk like this
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Comf.../dp/B0038KR9EY I assure you I did not pay that price and it is identical. I bought it 6 or 7 years ago for about $40. I scrolled down and there are others.
What I love about this I can move it around my bed and with my feet, I cam put cam on floor, I can push it the cam/laptop away or pull it close with only my feet. I sometimes set it on my lap. Sometimes I stand on my bed to be a giant or an under-boob shot. It is very versatile.
I was thinking about this as an alternative though.... https://www.amazon.com/Ameriwood-Jac...ds=mobile+desk
It looks versatile as well.
Re: Working from a bed - where to put your computer/camera
I like them both, (like u said not for that price tho).
I like the 2nd one, I've seen those rolling stands
Here we have http://www.containerstore.com they should have a few things maybe, they're pricey but their quality is good

It's a big change since this year I gave up my cats, now I am childfree for life, and the boyfriend is cool with being on cam but I don't want him doing private shows with me. I am cool with girls in the city hiring him for shows, and clips.
Plus this this new voyeur cam set up I really need to maximize it.
Like I am even thinking of moving my bed away from the wall that is close to my neighbors as I think his unit is a bachelor so I hear everything in his apartment and I figure IF Move m head of the bed against the wall which is to my living room. It might change the energy in the space.
Something happened when my cats left the energy shifted and I need to get it back in a harmonic tone.
I am died hard deaktop girl for cam shows as I find them a lot easier to handle upgrades then laptops. laptops I tend to use them while I watch tv.
then when I Figured out with a TV monitor with multiple HDMI Ports I could have upto 3 maybe more computers on one monitor/TV which means I don't need to touch the computer with the voyeur cameras unless it does a windows update or when I Am not on cam for private shows.

To get your energy back right, get several live plants and a Himalayan salt lamp. Both will emit positive energy!

Yes since the cats are gone I am looking forward to see what kind of plants I will have in my place. I miss my bamboo plants they didn't have a chance to grow when my cats were here.
Definitely looking into the lamps. I think the lamps would have a nice touch when my live house cameras are on while I sleep.

Cool yea its on my ikea wish list. SO I moved my bed in a giant circle today and WOW even though the measure is the same the outlook of my room feels completely different. then I see perfect where I can put my reading chair in my room which I never thought I could before. I was actually thinking of giving up on my reading chair all together.
Which means now the living could have the longer sofa + chaise lounge. I can see why home decorators get paid the big bucks.

Just curious, would anyone have a round bed?

Re: Working from a bed - where to put your computer/camera
I move mine around alot, beside the bed, on the bed, across from the bed, at the foot of the bed. I get unhappy with the angle and always mess with it.
