Urban club question for newbie
So I'm very new as in have been been on a pole or nude in front of anyone.
I keep reading posts from women talking about twerking demands in urban clubs and how they end up going to high end/less urban clubs/white collar/etc.
Since I have only been in a strip club to pick up my drunk friend on his birthday so his wife wouldn't have to pack up the babies in the car seats to go get him...i think the urban club sounds fun.
But also based on what I have read, these clubs are tailored to women of color or black African decent.
Is that true?
Please advise. Thank you so much.
Xoxo,
Grace
Re: Urban club question for newbie
From my experience, twerking is a big part of urban clubs. A lot of the girls will do tricks with their ass and of course the bigger the better. Now, my ass isn't the biggest but I can twerk and do pole tricks so I did good money wise. I say try it out on day shift (if available) since you're new and see if you like it. If not, then keep searching for a new club. It all depends on what you like and where you'll make money. If you know you're not a strong twerker, then don't go to a club that is centered around that. Hope this helps

Do the dancers in these clubs have to be black?
Re: Urban club question for newbie
No there are white girls that work urban clubs too. It's just a totally different hustle. As pp said it's way more about the stage, making it rain etc. Booty tricks and pole become really important. It's not like a standard gentleman's club where you just pose sexy on stage and then focus on selling vips.
Re: Urban club question for newbie
i've seen girls who are like jenna shae types w/pole and booty tricks who bank at urban clubs but the majority are WOC. why do you wanna start at a club like that though if you don't know how to work a pole and feel like you wouldn't fit in? if you can get hired at a less stage oriented club i don't see the point, unless there aren't many options in your area?
Re: Urban club question for newbie
I would say body type is more of a deal breaker than race at the urban clubs. If you're white/whatever else but have the "thick" body type and can put on the right kind of show on stage you would be fine. The twerking and pole tricks are extremelyyyyy important at urban clubs. Its not really optional its a must.

Not at all. I'm a white dancer & I dance in a urban club. However, there are only two white dancers currently and I'm one of them. The other white girl doesn't work much but I do regularly. I've worked at urban clubs most my career just because I'm more on the big booty/big thigh side so my body caters more to that. I've had issues in the past where a lot of black dancers hate me cause I work there but most of the time it's great. I love my co workers.
Re: Urban club question for newbie
Hey thanks y'all. I'm new to all of this. I appreciate the advice.
It sounds like y'all are telling me it would be to my advantage to start at a different club and learn pole tricks before I go to the urban clubs.
Also, what kind of pole tricks are we talking here? Like competition type tricks or just perfectly executing spins and slides?
Re: Urban club question for newbie
In an urban club, the more pole tricks the better. You'll see girls twerking upside down on the roof, doing giant death drops, tons of way crazier shit than you'd see in an average pole comp tbh.
Definitely practice moving your booty every way possible as that's a must to make money in urban clubs.
You might find though with how exhausting doing big shows is all the time that you might prefer a more traditional gentleman's club environment anyways. Like urban clubs look like a ton of fun, but those ladies are serious athletes. You can't slack off and expect to make dollars, regardless of how sore and tired you are, etc. Even just doing lap dances all night can leave you feeling dead the next day (imagine basically doing squats for hours).
Not to discourage you from trying out an urban club if that's your end goal, but just making sure you know it's hella hard work.

I say if you want to dance at an urban club do it! Just know that it can be physically tiring because you'll be dancing a lot. It's very upbeat and a high energy. Yes there are a lot of black girls there but I've seen girls of all races dance at urban clubs and they make bank! Stage presence is needed and how you showcase yourself so when your on stage you want to have fun! There's a lot of girls who don't know one pole trick but still make money. Twerking is the norm too. But just remember every dancer that's doing the crazy tricks and booty moves didn't always know them and took months to yrs to learn so don't let that discourage you! And don't compare yourself to others because they could have been in the game for years so they have experience on their backs! If anything you can just go in one night as a customer and just watch to see how the club is and also you can see how different girls dance and hustle the room. But I say go for it! Everybody has to start somewhere! Good luck and keep us posted
