40/dance
I'm at a place where the standard dance is $20. I'm not sure what the other girls charge. As far as some of the customers, there are a few that tip and a few, occasionally volunteer $40/dance, sometimes $50/dance but the vast majority only give $20/song. There are times when I've been charging the customers $40/dance, either because I feel as though they'd be willing to pay it or I'm tired and jack up the price for my service out of angst.
Am I cheating the customers? Or is this allowed, since we are independent contractors? I mentioned that charging $40/dance is possible to a couple of work friends and they looked at me like I had three heads...

Re: 40/dance
It's allowed and up to you... The club is a free market and if someone's willing to pay it, go for it.

Re: 40/dance
Do you feel like you are cheating the customers? If so, why? What do you believe your time is worth? Why is your time worth that? Why should someone pay $40 per song for you as opposed to $20 per song? The answers are up to you. If you don't believe in what you are selling, yes, you are ripping your customers off. But, men have paid more than that for less. So, it's up to you to determine your value and what you are willing to sell your time for. If you believe your time is worth $40/ song, it will sell for $40 per song.

Re: 40/dance
As long as the club doesn't have a problem with it go for it. Some clubs get crazy if they find out girls are up-charging their prices.

Re: 40/dance
It works SO much better when ALL girls are on the same page with that. As long as the club will tolerate it and it's working I guess so.

Re: 40/dance
Exactly, like all the guys in NYC know dance prices are $20 and will throw a fit if you overcharge them.

Re: 40/dance
I work in the south and guys would be livid if they knew they were "overcharged". My club doesn't formally allow price negotiations...however some previous clubs I've worked at did, but regardless I see more girls undercharge a guy because they're desperate for money versus overcharge. My opinion; if overcharging is the norm and guys don't get mad I say go for it but don't be ridiculous. Side note - never undercharge! It ruins it for everyone!

Re: 40/dance
Some clubs have a rule against it but at the end of the day, you're an independent contractor and you set your own rate.
I usually charge $30 per dance instead of the standard $20. I phrase it as the $30 dance being a "naughty dance" and the $20 dance being a "regular dance". There's no difference whatsoever and I honestly don't mind dodging hands. Don't forget to ask for a tip after! :D

Re: 40/dance
If you feel you are cheating a customer for charging more for a dance, make your dance better or make yourself as a package better. If there is a mere $10 more to be made in every dance?? All night long?? And you don't have to compromise yourself in a way that makes you uncomfortable to make that extra $10 per dance all night long,,,,,,
Girl you are cheating yourself!!!!!!!!
