How to motivate when you hit a rut
Ok ladies so this October I've seen a dramatic dip in my earnings. I feel like Sept was good to me, I got lucky a lot with picking the right clients and was physically more energetic. Oct hasn't been so great, the past 4 times I've got in I've left with basically nothing. Now I'm used to lulls in this business, but I'm having trouble and I'm feeling like I'm getting stuck in a rut. Since its effecting my money I'm starting to stress about it. Any tips to help me get out of it? Also I'm interested in doing a 'power hour' has anyone had success with this?
Thanks!
Re: How to motivate when you hit a rut
Hmm is the club slow? I'm curious if it's from Balloon Fiesta and chile season and all the other stuff people are doing in NM in the fall.
The usual advice is to take several days off. I personally don't like doing this, then you REALLY have no money and it's easy to end up wallowing around dreading going back in. Up to you though.
You could also try another club. I'm assuming you're in Albuquerque and there aren't many there to begin with... But sometimes you can get new girl money elsewhere.
What seems to help me is to work on mindset. I was a grumpy ass cynical stripper for a long time that let ruts get the best of me until I decided to make it otherwise.
- Go through your shift log (if you keep one) and remind yourself, you DO make money. It's just a slow week. It's not your appearance or hustle.
- Then remember that even if you make a tiny-for-a-stripper $125 on your probably 4-6 hour shift, that's more than most people make in an 8 hour work day and you got to dance and drink and talk with friends. Perspective, yo!
- Go to work with a different outfit or hair style, maybe make up a new backstory, and go in with the point being to amuse yourself. I shit you not, as soon as you stop caring about "Woe is me it's 11 and I only have $34" some guy will think you're the cats pajamas and take you for a half hour VIP.

^^ This!
The mindset always does the difference. And a small change.
Also, my advice (even I am camgirl and not a stripper) is to ALWAYS have money saved for this type of times. Because it helps keeping your mindset at a good level. Oh, is going bad? Nvm, I have a backup, I can either take a well deserved break and let others struggle or I can keep working without worries.
So, when you take your days off, to actually enjoy your break and come back relaxed and ready to hustle, rather than coming back because you are in desperate need of money.
Save little, save more, but save everytime.
Yes, this advice is for myself too, sometimes I let my ass uncovered and is not ok, because, not far ago, I was in same situation, but in camming.
Of course, in this moment and your situation, my oppinion is not really useful, but is something to consider for the future, so you don't get trough this again. That's why I will step back and let other girls help you with better advice :).
Wish you good luck!!
