Pessimistic About 2018 Camming and Need Health Insurance
Hi all! I'm sorry if this has been spoken about but with deadlines approaching, I'm kind of at a loss of how I should proceed.
Long story short, I did decently well this year - It was probably my best year all around, but these Fall/Winter months have me quite pessimistic for my camming future.
As I understand from the health care application, they would like to know an estimate of earnings for 2018.
Should I low-ball it? Should I go based off of data from this year and hope that next year treats me just as well?
My other question is: Are they asking for net income or gross income?
When they asked for my earnings from this month, they asked for the net - yet when they established what earnings would be for the year, it seems like a "gross" amount. Maybe I'm just reading this wrong.
Any help would be so appreciated! I don't want to screw anything up, but I also don't want a premium that I won't be able to afford if my earnings continue to decline. Such a tricky question for the self-employed. Grr.

Every application that wants to know your income is net income, Net is your take home income, Gross is what you generate in sales and before taxes.
because this type of work and making money online in general has expenses, you have to sometimes low ball your income for applications.
You have sales income , which is also self employment / sales as well. Goes with credit card applications too. insurance might not cover existing medications or conditions you also want to find that out as well.
Certain things for medical you are able to claim the cost of it on your taxes that you pay out of pocket.

I would try to put it as close as possible to your net taxable earnings. The "Obamacare" enrollment system is tied directly to the IRS. They will adjust your credit when they receive your tax data. Yes, they want your net taxable earnings, before taxes but after deductions and expenses.
As long as you get fairly close, high or low, you should be in the correct bracket for the tax credit owed to you.

Why so pessimistic? I feel like camming is one of those things where you kinda get out of it what you put in, in most cases. Maybe try split camming or a different site? Mix it up with clips and sexting/phone?

ok so with the obamacare thing? I put the net income which doesn't work out to be all that much really .. I have 3 dependents and own a house and had another business that was just a loss.... so it's not really a big deal? Once you do your taxes next year they just adjust the amount you paid for the premium... Also!.. I have NEVER sent them any documentations.. I just update my health insurance application everytime it expires all year.. it's kinda a pain but so is trying to prove self employed income with some made up P/L report,.....lol
