Anyone use Ally Bank, Simple Bank, Alliant, Discover, or Capital One?
Do you guys have any experience with the banks I mentioned? How long do you get your direct deposits? How long does it take to transfer money to your personal checking account? I am looking for a new checking account for my camming income.

I'm in the same boat. internet based banks have a huge draw, as I really don't need a traditional brick and mortar bank. I've heard great things about Simple, but have yet to actually sign up.

I have ally! I love it but it does have it's drawbacks. It usually takes two days to process checks (I'm not sure about direct deposits but I assume it would be the same?) If I deposit a check Monday I get the first $200 Tuesday and the rest Wednesday.
The biggest drawback is not being able to deposit cash but if cash isnt part of your income that's not a problem.
They're customer service is AMAZING. You can skip right through all the recorded options by pressing 0 at the beginning of your call and I've never had to wait more than 2 minutes to talk to a person.
They also have virtually no fees, and have pretty high interest rates on savings accounts. I had US Bank and I hated them (mostly for having to pay a fee just to have an account every month, and their customer service sucks). Now both my saving and checking accounts are Ally and it's been great.
If you have any specific questions feel free to ask!

What made you pick Ally vs it's other online competitors?

I was really just looking at Ally and Simple, I couldn't see any big difference in them, on how they operate and what they charge, but my biggest concern at the time was customer service. After doing some research Ally seemed to be the best for that, and they also had the highest interest rate of any bank for savings accounts (1.7% at the time).

I use Charles Schwab. You need to open a brokerage account with them but you don't need to deposit any money into it. You do need good credit to open an account with them. The checking account doesn't have any fees or minimum deposits. You get free checks. I use the app to deposit checks and the full amount is available for me to use if I have at least that much in my account. Otherwise it's available the next business day. They also refund all of your ATM fees.

Might just be a rumor but I've heard capital one is not sex worker friendly.

We kissed a lot of frogs before we settled on Wells Fargo. They seem to be the most professional of the bunch when it comes to the work we do. They aren't exactly loved, but they're trying hard to reverse their image. As for the others you mentioned, all 4 are on our "middle" list. Not awesome, not bad either. Direct deposits will arrive within 24 hours of the post date.
For personal banking, USAA is king. For purely online banking, there is no comparison. However, you have to be a veteran or family member of a veteran.
Chase and Bank of America (formerly Nationsbank) are on our naughty list for payment reordering nastiness...avoid if possible. Re-ordering is where they will process pending outgoing transactions ahead of incoming deposits, sometimes delaying the deposit by a full business day. This guarantees they can nail you with overdraft fees on a regular basis. US Bank was just a disaster, I'm not even sure how they're in business.

I DO NOT recommend AllyBank. Because they are online-based they don't follow standard banking protocol; I've heard bad stories about their practices. Also they have a strict "NO BUSINESS" policy. They have been known to close business accounts and keep your money. As a camgirl, you are a business person. They may flag your account SOONER OR LATER.
Please do not rely solely on online-only banks. Many of these online-only banks have terrible customer service.
You need a brick and mortar bank (Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase, etc) as your main bank. If something goes wrong, you can march yourself up to the bank and talk to someone in person and raise hell in person.
ONLY use online banks for small investments or money that if you lose you won't miss.

Haven't heard that, you may be thinking of Chase? They're not sex worker friendly, and have shut down accounts of adult stars before.
I've had Capital One 360 for 2 years, and get all my cam and clip site money there with no issue. I also have a credit card with them, and almost did my auto loan with them but VW ended up having the slightly better interest rate. I'm very happy with them. I was with Simple for a couple years, and was very happy, until they got bought out by BBVA Compass.
