Have you ever had new photos backfire on you?
I put new photos up at the beginning of the month, and since then I've had ONE client (I finally have two more bookings coming up this week, but still, that is not normal). I know January is slow, but in the 4 Januaries I've worked as an escort it's never been this bad! My photos are a little bit artsy and I'm worried it's turning people off. Has anyone ever experienced a drop in clients when they update their photos?
Realistically I know there are a lot of reasons it could be slow for me, but I'm kind of panicking and searching for answers.

I'm replying to bump this thread. As for the photos, I guess it depends on what "artsy" means to you. I like a wide range, as long as you look good in them is what matters. But why not send them in a PM to some of your friends here who you trust, such as fellow escorts, and let them give their thoughts. I'm assuming you don't want to post them openly. I'm guessing it's just a slow time for other reasons.

I agree ^ You need outsider perspective. I would take a look if you wanted an opinion.
Re: Have you ever had new photos backfire on you?
I assume you left some of the old ones up, so they saw you were the same person?
Re: Have you ever had new photos backfire on you?
Try seaching your phone number or email and seeing if anything bad comes up about you. maybe create a fresh website or branch out onto twitter
Re: Have you ever had new photos backfire on you?
If the pics look too "out there" guys assume you are flaky or a ROB.
Re: Have you ever had new photos backfire on you?
If we're talking BP clients, these guys are f*cking fickle as can be.
Sometimes, if you use the same photos for a long time, posting new ones can break the image that potential clients had of you, but with the level of slowness you're experiencing, it may just be that your new photos aren't working out. Make sure to pepper in an old one or two.
Make sure your assets are being displayed, curves are are visible - even if fully clothed. Each photo should highlight at least one feature that is sexy - the small of your back, your breasts and collarbone, butt, long legs, feet...
It's possible that the artsy angle in this particular photoset could be too obscure, but that doesn't mean that your pics have to be boring. Beware of a heavy filter!! Idk how I forgot to mention that way earlier, but this may be most important! Maybe one photo with an artistic filter - but try to keep them clear and crisp.
Don't be afraid to smile! Seriously, think of something pleasant and make a real smile. I just used my first ever photo with a genuine, teeth showing smile and my calls increased. The best clients are attracted to happy hoes!
TLDR; Beware of overuse of filters and over editing. Varied poses that each display your best assets - even in an artistic/understated way. Use a couple old photos and take some new ones in a different setting as well. Try to make sure your look is cohesive, as in same hair color especially - nervous guys can get easily scared off (especially if you hide your face) when they notice things that don't match up.
I'd suggest taking some more

Im having this problem on backpage too plus half the guys that ask for more pics on there just want free sexting. Im thinking of adding a video to prove its me. Maybe that would help you?
Re: Have you ever had new photos backfire on you?
"Artsy" can mean a lot of different things to different people, but at the end of the day men are men and they're simple. Sexy pictures that show off your best assets are the way to go. I agree with the above posters who mentioned anything too out there or obscure could turn off/confuse potential clients. A video to prove it's you certainly couldn't hurt, and it's nice for clients to be able to see you in motion before they book. Not trying to pry but it's hard to give you an accurate idea of what the problem (if any) could be without seeing the pics.

I'm a professional photographer and can tell you that how the photos are taken has a LOT to do with how attractive you appear. For example, it's my job and life's work to make people look their best and in a way that is most useful to them. Don't put the blame on yourself!
