Camming studio space worth it? Or just cheap hotel..
Hey guys, I'm pretty new to SW, been camming for a year or so now. Almost starting to get the hang of it, even :P
So, I've recently moved to a place that makes camming impossible. I've been thinking about either renting a cheap motel for say $60 a night and just hoping I bank a couple hundred if I cam full time.... or maybe making the leap over to escorting.
Are cam studios a thing? Or are they only a thing in certain areas? I can't imagine a studio would give space to camgirls when they could just as easily use the same space for call girls that bring in more money... And where would I find advertisements for private studio space?
Any thoughts/experience on the subject? or suggestions?
Also, any girls in the BC/Washington area looking to split accommodations?? Or even just hang out, holla 'atcha girl in a DM. :)

If I were you I would focus on things like texting, photos, and clips. I was renting a hotel room to cam for a while (also about $60 a night) and it suuuuucked. I made enough to live, but only just barely. Arousr & MyGirlFund would have been lifesavers. Get into texting, if you really have no privacy where you are maybe rent a hotel room very occasionally just to take photos & film clips all day, then you can work on editing, selling them & marketing yourself when you're at home/somewhere you don't have to pay to be.

I wouldn't go the hotel route. Hotel internet is not usually very fast, certainly not in a cheap hotel, and hoping to make $200 a night is ambitious. It's possible, but you're going to have bad nights too, and knowing that you're starting each night $60+ bucks in the hole is going to add stress and that doesn't usually help with earnings.
Not sure of your situation, or why you moved somewhere that you can't cam, but I definitely agree with Procasturbator that you should focus on sexting, photos, and clips until you can get into a space where you have freedom to cam again. Honestly, camming used to be like 95% of my income and lately it's been like 5% of my income. You can definitely do well without camming full time.

Completely agree with the above. I'm traveling and often end up in AirBnB's or hostels where the wifi sucks... and the best thing you can do is text or sell content. Phrendly, SextPanther, Niteflirt, and MyGirlFund are my go-to's.
You can also sell clips, snapchat subscriptions, Kik sessions, photo sets... there are a ton of possibilities. ManyVids and Clips4Sale are great for selling clips. I'd sell Snapchat & Kik on IndieBill or LiveCamModelShows, since they have the highest payout.
It just occurred to me that I have only live-cammed a single time in the past month. Still making good money.

When you say "cheap hotel," I'm not sure if you're referring to motels such as Super 8, etc. I can tell you that the last time I tried camming from there, it was a total waste of time because of how horrible the internet was. I ended up just logging off and recording a video.
Now a hotel such as Hampton Inn (beautiful rooms), etc...you'd probably be fine.
Re: Camming studio space worth it? Or just cheap hotel..
There are more cam studios in Europe & South America than in the U.S. As for the U.S. why wouldn't they all just turn into incall rather than cam studios, because that would be illegal & being busted would happen eventually. Where as camming is legal and no worries.
Studio 20 has a studio in the LA area and there are several studios in Las Vegas but can't tell you who owns or runs them. Naked has a studio in Miami. Some other guys tried to open a studio in Miami & fill it with ladies from Russia, who all quickly left once they got Sugar Daddies.
Hotels networks are NOT safe & all your information can be stolen off of it. Hotels provide the worst internet possible because what makes them the most money is pay per view porn & movies on the tvs. So they make the internet the worst on purpose, plus hotel security can see everything you do on your computer.
Cam customers are also less likely to tip & demand to know where you are at & want prostitution for cheap prices. Hotels are easy to spot & determine exactly which hotel chain you are at.
Re: Camming studio space worth it? Or just cheap hotel..
I originally started in a studio, and it sucked! They had very poor insulation so I could hear the particularly loud girls, and so could people in my chat. Then a ton of new girls started after Halloween so it was impossible to get a space. They eventually closed my mfc and sm accounts after I didn't come in for a month, so now I'm starting all over.....yay.
