Anti-Sex Trafficking Bill (Senate to vote on today)
Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act (SESTA) has already passed in the House and is likely to pass in the Senate today. The bill would "allow victims of sex trafficking to seek justice against online platforms that knowingly facilitate the act" and, "allow victims of sex trafficking to sue websites that enabled their abuse."
Websites like Backpage, TER, etc, are the most likely to be targeted for litigation. However, even Facebook and Google can be liable under SESTA.
If sites like BP, Eros, TER are censored, how do you think this will affect the sex work industry?
How will you advertise if not on these sites?
