I want to start watermarking photos. For those who do this,
- What program or app do you use?
- How do you do it in large batches?
- What do you include on your watermark?
- any advice on placement of the watermark?
Thanks in advance.

For desktop batch watermarking you can go with a plugin called BIMP that can be used in either Photoshop or Gimp. Gimp is free. But there are other ways to do it in photoshop without that plugin but its a bit more complicated.
Desktop programs that work for batch watermarks is star watermark. Its old and has been around for years. I haven't used it in some time now because I frequently change my watermark. Its the never the same font or whatever http://star-watermark.com/
I mostly use mobile apps to add watermarks on the fly with programs like phonto. But my favorite is PixelLab https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ellab&hl=en_US
Make it big so that it isn't so easy to cut off.
I like the program GIMP or the website lunapic.com :).
why do we need to watermark pics anyways? just curious. I usually take mine without my face in them if it's on texting sites & generally cam without my face in a show.
Because your pics will inevitably be stolen, reposted and used for any number of malicious purposes. Scammers can even use your pics to make money for themselves. When your pics are watermarked, all traffic goes back to you and the more of a hassle it is to remove the watermark in Photoshop, the better.
