How do you work the club ?
Do you just go around the room looking for your target customer type (younger, older, ugly lonely guy, ect) or do you try and talk to everyone in the club ?
I tend to try and talk to everyone there especially the older crowd (45+) . I notice a lot of the newer girls just talk to guys they would date out in the real world. If I can get at least two dances every time I walk the floor I have had a good night. I usually don't waste to much time sitting with many customers or getting them to buy me drinks. I have always had better luck constantly working the room.
Re: How do you work the club ?
Basically all that you said is a good way to do things. I was that newbie you are talking about at one time who only wanted to approach the "cute guys." I got over that REAL quick. Talking to everyone is the way to go. Worst you can hear is "no."
Re: How do you work the club ?
I typically just do the tables in order with a quick chat and segway into a sales line, UNLESS I see a customer that I am positive is going to go for dances (sometimes you just know haha) or I was on stage and a customer tipped well/expressed interest in dances.
Even in those cases I always make sure to acknowledge anyone I walk past, just a quick smile or whatever is fine but I want to make sure I always appear friendly and that I didn't "rudely" walk past anyone who might want dances later.
Re: How do you work the club ?
I seem to have a fairly specific hierarchy & routine now I think about it...
I do the floor seats first, looking for 35+ y/o white dudes. Then I'll hit the young dudes in pairs or small groups with a very quick (1 song or less) hustle. Then we have the ghetto-looking guys or Mexicans who get a "Wanna dance". After that I might do a walk down the bar, see if anyone looks interested. Lather, rinse, repeat.
Re: How do you work the club ?
ANY way you work it is better than sitting at the bar playing with the lottery terminals, that's a SURE thing!
Re: How do you work the club ?
I prioritize— I go first to the clients that hit the demographics I usually do best with (nerdy tech guys, Japanese guys because I can speak conversational Japanese and they appreciate that, and blue collar and military guys). After that if it’s all no’s or after I’ve sold some dances or drinks I’ll then go to the customers I normally do poorly with (couples, college guys, middle aged men), but I do try to talk to everyone.
You never know how someone will respond to you so it’s best to always try!
Re: How do you work the club ?
I go check out whoever is looking at me the right way. (The method you use to find these guys is called "peripheral walking".....you watch them out of the corner of your eye but don't appear to stare them down.)
Re: How do you work the club ?
I try to talk to everyone I possibly can. I don't always sit down for a bit with them because I tend to make money walking by and picking off the ones who check me out first. When I've asked most of the guys in the room or there's not really a lot if customers, I might sit down with someone who seems promising. I usually sell VIPs easier if I sit with them for a bit. Always remember to upsell though. I like this model:
1. He tips me
2. Ask for a dance, he gets one
3. Turn up the heat towards the end of the dance
4. Ask if he wants another dance, he gets another dance
5. After that dance, ask if he rather go to VIP for more privacy and discounted block time
6. If there's no VIP, ask if he wants to just keep going until he wants to stop. Usually they'll say yes, then rack up the dances
7. ALWAYS ask for a tip at the end, 20% is customary
8. Thank them, move on
I just started working at a new club, and they were very upfront in saying the club is a VIP club, like a lot of customers won't get floor dances or tip on stage, so I have yo basically sell VIP right off the floor, which I hate, unless the guy literally plucks me off. I don't have the greatest mouth piece, and I rely a lot on my looks and sexy dancing skills to lure them in. I might offer a lap dance for regular price, but complimentary if they want to buy a VIP. That's worked for me before =)

How do you phrase your tip ask?
Re: How do you work the club ?
It depends on the night & how social i'm feeling. I usually never have to approach anyone. I'm not the type to go around the whole room and talk to every single man in the room, but I know I should.
I tend to get caught up with the guys I talk to for way too long. Still figuring it out.
Re: How do you work the club ?
I pretty much ignore everyone and look like a general bitch.
I'll walk around the room several times, but unless I see "money" (as in a man I specifically know has it and I will make it from), I don't really speak to anyone.
My night usually goes 1 of 2 ways...
1. I either wait around ignoring everyone all night, get approached by some guys for dances, wait until everyone gets really drunk... then get approached more by guys for dances, try and hustle them for more, I might towards the end of the night approach a few guys for dances if it feels right.
or
2. I wait around and ignore everyone until I see the one main 1 or 2 guys I will make my money from (demeanor, how he's dressed, acts etc.), I strategically figure out a way to get him to approach me (I always make men approach me, they spend more that way because they felt they had to earn me.) , and then I make a lot of money from that person.
I have a very specific hustle. Its weird I guess, but it works for me.

How do you do this?? Men approach me for dances sometimes, but I have no idea how to make that happen.

I do this most of my night too. I find when they come to you, they are usually willing/planning to spend a lot . Also, if I feel like they're wasting my time, I will end the convo and try to move on and they suddenly want to get a few dances first before I go back to work. Works most of the time. If not, they will come to the stage and tip a lot.

Pay attention to guys you want to spend on you or you think have money... go somewhere in the room where they can see you and do little flirty looking at them and away, or just little things to see if they notice you.. I also do the "accidentally drop something" thing, but really its usually better in my experience if you can get a guy to come to you..

that's a good idea.. my club is so full of thirsty h**s at the moment that it will be rare there is a 'free' guy just sitting looking around...
i used to be able to have my pick, or go to who tells me to come to them after stage etc.
nowadays, anybody that doesn't have a girl is someone I would approach.
but i like to approach guys who have been there a little while over guys who just walked in if possible.
and always lonely guys over groups.
Re: How do you work the club ?
Depends on how busy the club is. I honestly work in one of the most cutthroat clubs ever so on some nights, as soon as I walk on the floor I literally rub the shoulder of the first customer that's walking next to me, ask him how his night is going and ask him if he's ready to have some fun. The time that I work a lot of the guys that are there are pretty drunk and ready to spend. On slower shifts, I definitely look for the client base I do the best with, sometimes I work the door. It honestly all depends.
