Body aches and muscle soreness
Hey ladies! Saturday was my first night dancing in a very long time. I don’t workout normally, so I’m sure that contributed to my pain. I am sooo sore! The lower back and hips are literally throbbing and I haven’t been able to get rid of this migraine. (The top of my eyeballs even hurt when I blink!) I’ve taken Advil and used a back massager but I’m still in pain. I’m currently running a hot bath with epsom salt and when I get out, I’ll be applying a pain relieving liquid. I still have muscle relaxers from my boob job. Would that help?
Re: Body aches and muscle soreness
Sounds like you're doing the right things. If the soreness is just lactic acid build up from exercising too hard, try a 'foam roller' to roll your muscles. You may notice peeps doing it at the gym - maybe try doing it sooner after your next night. Do a light workout with those same muscles to hasten it out. Congratulations for hitting it hard though. Just work into it slower next time...

Re: Body aches and muscle soreness
A massage by a massage therapist may help.
Re: Body aches and muscle soreness
Get a massage! I get monthly, sometimes twice a month, sports massages. Make sure they're deep tissue or sports massages. Go to a chiropractor, too. Also, workout more, drink LOTS of water and eat super healthy!!!

Have any of you ladies ever tried accuputure? I’ve been thinking about it
Re: Body aches and muscle soreness
Yes, I've had & liked accupuncture..
Keep in mind, it's a whole process, may involve massage, herbs prescribed, etc (all @ additional cost besides the accupuncture)
Try also Arnica, it's both in topical & consumable form
Yoga might help too, & is also used as part of accupuncture treatment

I'm following this thread :)
Re: Body aches and muscle soreness
This is my unprofessional advice: Get a deep tissue or accupressure massage by a professional massage therapist. Magnesium can help too. I'm surprised epsom salt wasn't mentioned. Take an epsom salt bath. Making sure that you stay hydrated helps as well. I'm not sure if you drink on the job, none of my business but alcohol and pop can both be dehydrating. Not eating right can do that too. I've been guilty of that(ate like crap
on nights that I was stripping and felt like ass with headaches and body aches). You can get some wicked awful headaches and a migraine if you get dehydrated.
