Re: Legitimate Work From Home Opps?
I've been trying out phone stars which is strict about their 20 hour a week minimum (like they cut you off of you can't do 20 hours and I've read that they really will just like ignore it if it's anything less than 20 hours per week). My first check was more than I expected and it came in the mail quickly. Lots of the callers do want to talk about stupid nasty stuff like trigger warning for REAL but I mute them so they hang up. Ignoring callers will affect payout but like you gotta have boundaries because otherwise they will push them just like in person. Anyway I was pleasantly surprised when I got my check

Does Phone Stars let you use a cell phone, or do they require you to use a landline phone?
Re: Legitimate Work From Home Opps?
you can use a cell phone for up to 4 weeks I think, I am in week three so still on a cell phone. Idk if they're about it like they are the 20 hour requirement per week. Ill let everyone know after I pass 4 weeks. They don't seem super strict on anything except for the 20 hours a week minimum
Re: Legitimate Work From Home Opps?
sent the check on friday so i got it the monday the 23rd on on my second week there. First check was 550$ which I have no idea how they figure that out because online it said like 298 or something. I guess every check will be a surprise. I get my second check on monday so this is my third week working. They do offer automatic payment but i forgot to set it up and now I can't get them to call me back so their worker support is not good but at least Im getting paid
Re: Legitimate Work From Home Opps?
also that was minimum of 20hours that week. ive only ever just gotten just over 20 hours. I am going to try to get more hours this week. They also give you point to shop in an online store connected to their company for however long you keep a customer on the phone so you earn point along with money for every minute you keep them on the phone. They have all kinds of shit from gift cards, to debit cards, pet stuff, nice digital cameras, computers, a whole bunch pf shit. Seems like the points are roughly 1 cent per minute of customer on the phone.
Cash payout depends on your customer rating so it is better to have a higher rating rather than a lower one obviously so thats why it sucks to ignore calls that are horrible because it will affect your rating and payout as a result. Some of these customers will rate you low even if you keep them on the phone and I have read in reviews of working for phone stars that their reps for the company will purposely call into your line, hang up quickly (callers on phone less than a minute drops your rating), and also rate you low to drop the ratings on new phone operators. Even with that being the case (I HAD made it into the top 20 operators and got a lot of hang up calls right away after that) I still got a decent payout for 20 hours of work roughly. We'll see about my second check and I will keep ya'll update :)
Re: Legitimate Work From Home Opps?
Ok I just went on bing.com, it says phone stars is involved with fraud?

How long after you apply do you hear back from them?
Re: The Phonestars Thread
I saw the thread title and thought it was about us, Lol.
Re: The Phonestars Thread
UGH OK, so the scam stuff seems to be somewhat accurate. I have NO IDEA how they figure out pay. My first check was good- 550. My next two checks were both low AF 155 & 122. Like I figured as much when i got the second check. or maybe I accidentally got higher up in ratings when they couldn't actively fcuk it up the first time around? Anyway I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM for reasons that p much have been stated above. Tho I do not think there is anything technically illegal about how they operate besides like shit that cam companies/strip club owners/etc all do. Sorry folks! Seemed like they weren't going to be cheapskate shits at first. False alarm!
