Aggressive dancer domination
Hi, I work in a small club with 6 to 10 dancers a night. Currently at the moment the club is very slow and one man walks in once every 20 minutes. Every time a man walks in the club there is a specific dancer that approaches every man in the walkway before he even steps into the main floor of the club. She sits by the door and when a man comes she runs to him and closes the sale in 15 seconds and takes him to the lap dance room. No one has a chance to approach the men because she RUNS to them and grabs them.
How should I handle this situation? I really don’t want to run up to the guy at the same time as her and completely bum rush him before he can even blink. How would you handle this situation? What should I do?
Re: Aggressive dancer domination
If she does in fact successfully close *every sale* that quickly ... I might wonder what exactly she is telling them and whether you would really want any of them as customers.
Maybe you could conspire with a few other dancers to take turns distracting her from the door so the rest of you can have a shot? Or you could take a page from the old high school bully playbook: tie her up, gag her and throw her into a locker in the dressing room.
Re: Aggressive dancer domination
She can't run if her leg broke.
Re: Aggressive dancer domination
When I worked in a small club we all took turns. I’m not at work to make friends or play small. I kind of have an us (female) vs. them (men), so we worked together to give every girl a chance to make some money when there’s only 5 girls and 5 guys all night.
If you guys can’t work together then maybe putting some running shoes on or throw a banana peel out in front of her?

Maybe this door hawk read the Hustle Hut section of this site.

8 ) You may need to hawk the door a bit. When guys walk in and see that the club is a dive, especially if it's a very slow night, and espeeecially if there are no girls dancing on the stage yet...they will often want to buy dances immediately. And even though it sucks to be the door hawk, if you're one of the better looking girls in the club, and if you're good company, then he won't be complaining. Yes, it feels a bit whoreish. But I have lost SO many good sales by not wanting to be the girl at the door. Don't do it in a way that's super obvious, but at least make it so that if a guy comes walking in, you'll be one of the first people he sees. If you attack a guy at the door in the right way without giving him a wannadance hustle (he'll want to get a drink, relax, and have some conversation if he just walked in), you can land the sale. Obviously only do this if the club is DEAD and you have already sold the rest of the guys in the room or at least tried.

Re: Aggressive dancer domination
I'm gonna be getting disgruntled replies to this but whatever.....
When I was a stripper & worked at a very slow club with only a handful of girls each night, I was the door hawk sorta bc I wanted my $$$ & to leave. I didn't promise any extras, just took his attention away from everyone else. I did say that I was a newbie ( a lie) & got extremely turned on by giving vips (a lie) & or lap dances to which got their attention right away & I said there was way more privacy in the vips than in the reg dance rooms (a lie) LoL . However, I still didn't offer extras, I just said key words that would make me much more interesting.
You can't worry about what other girls think there, if they stand back awaiting their turn , then they will be losing out most likely if there isn't enough guys to go around.
Re: Aggressive dancer domination
While I don't think it's wrong to be aggressive, there is something a bit tacky about running to guys before they've even got to the main floor of the club. At my club the general etiquette is to at least wait until the customer has a beverage in their hand. But apparently it's working for her, so *shrug*.
Re: Aggressive dancer domination
Door-hawk is not the norm in my club. Though I do hawk for easy prime targets and be a bit aggressive like pretending he's special and touching him gentlely. The rest: club regulars, wanna-be Cash Money, and good-looking dudes, I just "Wanna dance?" them without shame.
