I only have a neighbor on one side of me and the walls are pretty insulated! Yes, I’m licensed. Thanks for replying, btw! ☺️
Do you have to even be licensed to do body rubs?
Don't need a license for Body Rubs. I know that I feel more comfortable doing body rubs with the cover of my massage therapy license.
thank you, I don’t know why I was having a hard time expressing that point. That’s all I was wondering about really. It draws a lot less attention when it’s already understood that you’re licensed to do what you say you’re doing... the BR aspect of it is strictly between you & the client and no one else would catch wind of that unless you disclosed it. It’s a very professional environment and I have it set up very spa like inside my suite. It’s just what the clientele in my area are looking for. I’ve noticed that there’s very little suite traffic among my neighbors on Sunday, so that could be my main day that I accept incalls and continue outcalls outside of that. I have such a high demand for incalls but I haven’t had a place to accept them until now. I’m also a licensed cosmetologist so I have licensure to justify having my space and multiple streams of income to pay for the space so I thought I’d make it work to my advantage.
I got an office in June of this year and my monies have skyrocketed compared to just doing outcalls. I do worry about 2 things. 1. Noisy clients. Moaners being heard through the walls. and 2. The fact that all of my clients are male so that makes me worry. I have never been a strictly therapeutic massage therapist so I don't know if it seems out of the ordinary that only men come to my office but it does make me a little paranoid.
I'd hope with the client knowing you have neighbors they would have enough sense to not be loud. lol. The fact that I'd be seeing only men worries me too...although, I could play it off on the fact that I specialize in men's grooming? I mean, between haircuts, beards, & massage there's going to be a lot of male traffic. Oops. The nice part about where I am is I'm located in the center of the building and the section I'm in is literally curtained off because it's supposed to be the quieter section hallway wise...so I don't think too many people would notice where exactly they're going. My immediate neighbors have their doors & windows closed because they offer spa services as well. I'm feeling more confident about it, thanks for sharing your experiences with it. The only thing I don't like is that they have a directory at the front of the building and they have the suite owners names on display. I guess I could just say I share the space with "so & so" one day a week. Which would be a good cover because I don't want my clients thinking I'm always there and that's where they can find me.
You'd get in SO much trouble for this it's not even funny. A lady I know was outted by her neighbor (she had an office space) and got raided.
It turns out she would've done LESS time had she not had a certification at all. Those massage licensing associations are no joke.
Yes it's true. A massage license will not protect you, in fact you will get in even more trouble for going against the specific restrictions that license holds. Massage therapy boards are extremely serious about separating themselves from sex workers, and I feel like you would possibly be putting yourself at greater risk this way... Just don't get caught, lady!
It has slowed down alot since BP got shut ugh
Euros took forever to post my ad. So I took to Bedpage in the meantime and it was amazing for bodyrubs when I first started. After a month or 2 it died down on me. I still use bedpage because there are good clients up there still so worth trying if you're indy and can screen properly.
Euros is not that great for body rubs. Totally not worth the $275. I recently got verified on private delights and tryst. Been getting lots of clients on those sites.
Just be careful with LE as well as predators on any page. I get calls from them every now and then. Agencies in the city are over saturated with girls and they take half your money. But if you must do New York, I hear White Plains is a great place to do body rubs. Also, agencies in Suffolk county in long island are busy but careful because they do get raided alot. Make sure the location is safe, low key and that they practice.
I think it helps I have a twitter and my own website. Good to have online presence to attract more clients. Hope all is working out for you by now.
Also, adult look and adult search along with erotic monkey is trash. I had my profiles taken down after a month
How do you know when it's LE inquiring about your services? Do they flat out say something or is it something they say?
They usually come off as time wasters, asking explicitly for services in detail in email/text/phone call, asking "Questions". If they're explicit or incriminating "How much for (insert service & time)/ Do you offer (insert service)/ What's all included in our session?" just end the convo right there.
