Re: Me and Friend want to throw a stripper party
When I actively used Instagram, I never mixed the two... I focused mostly on equestrianism. Even then, I managed to get creeped out by the number of thirsty dudes who'd leave creepy ass comments on photos of myself or would send such messages privately. Which I think this is really the end result not so much of Instagram or using Instagram to promote yourself professionally as a dancer, but more of a culture shaped by all of these various apps, from social media to dating/hookup apps. And perhaps that's not even a broad enough focus. There was a photo of me taken in Afghanistan where we were just relaxing in our ACU trousers and t-shirts. I was laying down, and another female soldier was resting her head on my shoulder and she might have actually been asleep. I found that it had been posted on one of these "chicks with guns/girls with guns/whatever" threads (I had my M16 next to me in the photo) on one of these forums, and the commentary on that one... I'll give you three guesses as to what it suggested.
I feel like there's a Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde thing about being on the Internet for a lot of guys, where, in real life and in society, there are consequences for doing and saying things, but then they get online, reduce their identity to a screen name, and that's were they unload with all the things they can't say in the company of people offline. And I think in their minds it also reduces the agency of women they find online, whether it be Instagram, cam girls, of course anyone with nude photos online - both those who willingly model for compensation and those who had them posted as revenge - and I feel like that's how they would effectively see these women as being if they did meet them IRL.
Sorry for the rant, but I may have spent a moment or two thinking about this exact thing. Anyhow, I'm not saying that custies won't take a dehumanizing view of dancers in the club, but they at least have to have real interactions with the dancers, and if they don't realize that there are consequences for acting the way they might online on the club, they'll be forcefully made aware of it. Whereas putting yourself out there as an Internet persona then inviting followers for a 'stripper party'... I just feel like that's begging for exactly the wrong sort of person to attend.

HAHA that photo summed it up. I didn't want to be rude but reading the story I was like "GURLLLLLLLLL what is this!?!" you do not want to deal with hotels, money being thrown around on hand and any of that near you because the police will be there in a hot minute due to noise complaints. I've had enough with the police lately and trust hotels watch EVEN the trash bins for activity.
Lol I used to BLAST music during appointments like it SOUNDED like a party with my customer there and security knocked during the appointment during the loud conversation at a DC hotel was told they knew what was going on and I needed to leave immediately or they will call police. Hotels are really cracking down on the escorting biz hardcore lately over every little thing and I'm not being paranoid. I was told I could not renew a room on day 3 in it even though they had rooms available.
Re: Me and Friend want to throw a stripper party
Why do the employees even care?!? @indiegirl ^^^
One time when I was in Vegas, I could hear the guys in the room next to me through the bathroom and they were getting an escort every day and each taking a turn in the restroom while the other waited in the bedroom area. (Not sure why they didn’t swap areas but they were like 22 year olds so that says something about them). Food for thought: have you ever heard of a man being asked to leave a hotel because he is having paid female guests??? I sure haven’t.
Re: Me and Friend want to throw a stripper party
It's normally I'd it's a party there will be noise that will cause people to complain also they worry that there will be damage done. The hotel I worked at did not actually care about sex workers or strippers being there.as long as they were discreet. But when it became obvious to other guests it was a issue.

I know seriously!! Police go after the ho's not the johns. But if you're a single woman checking in it is a different story. Doesn't make sense. Heard one chick on here say employees get money or whatever for reporting it at some hotels because it looks bad on the hotel and hotel reviews or some nonsense. Some of the high end hotels actually have girls they contact for the men looking for a good time. One guy saw me and said "wow you look like barbie!" and then asked staff if I was on their list of women or whatever. This was in LA too not vegas.
Re: Me and Friend want to throw a stripper party
God. Like regular vanilla people never have sex that disturbs other guests in hotels. Give me a fucking break.
Re: Me and Friend want to throw a stripper party
The actual employees really don't care more the management, the hotel I worked at regular strippers and escorts that stayed there, they were big on noise complaints of any kind. They were also big on sex trafficking which is a huge problem in this city. Noise is a issue because the company has a lot of corporate accounts so if the business travelers were upset it was a huge issue. My hotel.was ok in this way but I know other hotels are not a few girls had told me.
Re: Me and Friend want to throw a stripper party
Another thing is the hotels have function rooms for parties which they charge a lot for. Also stripper parties would cause
Issue's with the city licencing department so there's that.
I'm not sticking up for hotels but I'm just telling you how they see it. At least the one I worked at
Re: Me and Friend want to throw a stripper party
Just wanted to point out that not one person has commented “omg girl good idea, I would. Have NEVER thought of doing a stripper hotel party!”
Not one.
Re: Me and Friend want to throw a stripper party
I actually did one years ago in London. Some guys rented out the function room of a hotel. We got paid a fee . We could get tips/ private dances too. It got shutdown quick hotel security kicked everyone out. Only made 40 after our fee was a ghetto mess lol. This was years ago before Instagram.
Re: Me and Friend want to throw a stripper party
Not quite applicable to your situation, but I've got a friend who dates a competitive like dancer. A friend of hers rented out a club on one of the holidays when business is slow anyways and got a good price on it. For a party with the idea of specific clientele this could be a good direction since all you need is already in place.
Instead of doing a party why don't you do videos of you guys dancing and stripping and sell them online. Or like others have said try working in a club. Both already have the traffic and offer security.
