Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
^^Yeah, since I just do aerobic sessions which aren't really intense I can keep my calories below 1500. If I was strength training I'd have to bump them up.
Yeah, if you can post your progress here that'd be awesome. I lost 8 lbs then gained it right back. Now I have to lose it again. It's weird: my friends say I look great, but I feel fluffy LOL.
Yeah, the gym is close to my place too. It's really convenient. I like being close to it so I have no excuse not to train.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
I have a problem. Lately camming has me so stressed that I have been complaining to my boyfriend and last night he told me it’s annoying him and effecting our relationship. I’ve gotten so bad that I talk down to him when he tries to offer help. I mean he went online and viewed top models and was trying to coach me to be like them. That really ticked me off! I told him I can’t talk to him about work anymore. He will call me in the middle of a shift and ask “How’s work?” And I just go crazy on how bad it is. I need stress management and I don’t where to start.

I find non sex workers don’t really get it like we do, do you have any friends in this line of work?

I hear you. This month had me drinking more wine than usual. I think having someone to vent to is imperative. Are you able to vent to anyone else besides BF? I have 3 people I can vent to. I try not to always vent to the same person as it tires them out, so I kinda swap friends I vent to.
Camming has gotten pretty tough for me to deal with recently, and I've had to approach it differently. I have created some new goals that have nothing to do with income and rather everything to do with interaction. One of my new goals is attracting more positive customers. I felt some of the interactions I had on cam were stressing me out. So now I'm working with LOA to attract new energy.
Perhaps changing something about camming might help you see it differently and help reduce stress. You can always try bumping up self care. I'm back in the gym now because my own stress levels were getting too high. Training regularly helps reduce stress for me.
I think picking one thing like sleep for example and improving it can truly help to reduce stress. Often times we think we have to make big changes to see big results. I think that's really overwhelming.
Sometimes just a change of diet or getting more sleep at night can improve your ability to tolerate stress better. This was my first summer camming and geez, it was tough. And this month? Good Lord, these last two weeks were hell. You're certainly not alone.
What does your self care routine look like currently?

I do have a local support group with sex workers, but I stopped going because I didn't find them to be very supportive. They mostly want to help woman get out of the industry.

I stopped doing Yoga as much as I used to. I have a membership at a Yoga studio and I need to use it more. Also, I know I could eat better. Sleep I love and I do a lot of it. But I try to get a healthy 8 hours and not over do it, but when I am depressed I sleep all day. Once I am up I tend to be lazy and watch the news until eventually I start forcing myself to move. So I guess it sounds like I need to create a schedule. Maybe not even talk to him during my work hours and that way I can disconnect from work and have a better work/life balance.

Thank you!! In the past I stripped and I had the dressing room to vent in, then I cammed in a studio and it was cool having other cam models around me. Now being on my own it’s so lonely so I just come here. But I think I would like an actual cam friend in real life. That would be good.

It sounds like you might be in a little bit of a depression. I got through one a little while ago. I had to force myself to move, eat, hydrate, get sun, and be social.
If you've fallen into a rut, it's ok. This happens. I'll be posting my training sessions here. If you need the accountability I certainly can support you while you log your yoga or anything you want to log here.
I think a schedule or a routine is great to help you lift out of this rut. And waiting to talk to him on off hours is a good idea. And like Pixiie said, my inbox is open too. If you need to vent, I'm here. You're not alone.

Trained indoor cycle. My HR monitor isn't tracking high intensity accurately, so I'm using my chest strap.
I rode for 30 min.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Woke up at 4:35am from such a sad dream. I think it was about my inner child. I've done a lot of work helping her heal. I used to have nightmares about infants & couldn't help them. I believe those dreams were about my inner child.
This dream about an infant was graphic. I'll spare the details, but I was trying my best to save her. The dream shook me up & I was unmistakably sad.
I made coffee & read for a while, however was still shaken up. So I settled down in bed & engaged in an hr long Heal Your Inner Child guided self-hypnosis. I've done this one in particular more than a dozen times. I thought it might help. I was right: I'm just fine.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
I've been having a mental breakdown for 2 weeks. I'm tired all the time. I'm not eating well or drinking enough water. I'm not working out. I'm not motivated to do anything but sit on the couch, eat and watch tv.
Not sure what to do to make myself feel better. I was doing better for 2 months but now I'm back to square one.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
^^Girl, I'm sorry to hear. Do you think it's burnout from all those hrs on cam to make killer money?
I had burned out after those two weeks where I streamed about 100 hrs. Took a whole week off & just self cared.
Scary, no doubt...but be kind to yourself. If that's all the energy you have then ok...but try to eat healthy. Drink enough water too. You'll bounce back soon I'm sure.

Honestly, it's my husband. He lost his job, so he's home 24/7. That completely screws up my day because I'm used to being alone. When he's at work, I don't worry about anyone hearing me, I freely walk around with my toys and I don't have anyone to distract me.
Part of it is laziness but it started when he lost his job. Luckily, he just got a new job. Double the pay too! I need him out of the house so I can have my space back!
The lack of motivation to eat better and work out is a whole different story. That's the part of my depression that I've had for years. It's not part of cam burn out at all.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Oh LAWD has he shined down on you. Once he's out of the house your mojo can't be fucked with. I hear you doll. Soon...soon. But until that happens you have to eat right and drink at least half your body weight in ounces water a day.
Get this tight and you'll be unstoppable. I'm pulling for you mamma. I know your force is strong. Hang tight. It'll happen soon enough!!!

Thanks love! I'm going to switch to nights until he's back working again. I have fallen a little behind for this month's bills but I can get ahead again if I actually get online. I also think I need to try a clean eating diet for a few weeks. Problem is, I don't know how to cook any of that stuff. Most of the recipes I find sound gross. I'll probably end up starving!

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Girl, I hear you loud and clear. I eat clean all week and it ain't anything to look forward to. I have the same shit day after day and the only good thing is I'm mentally fit and I have energy.
You're gonna have to think of food as energy and mental health. Healthy diets are nothing to rave about in the taste department, but FUCK I have so much energy when I eat right.
Eat for the energy and the money will follow. When you're fueled your A game tight. Money will be flowing.

Is there anything better than putting the top down and going for a long drive?
Especially after a long day on cam?
Gosh, it's been months since the weather has been cool enough to do that.
It's my own private wind down, and meditation.:meditate::cloud9:
Self care to the max.
To blast my favorite music, and grab a Starbucks on the way.
I welcome fall and winter with open arms.
And open windows, and doors.
The BEST weather is coming up. And I'm here for it.;D

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Yesterday was so bad sales-wise I contemplated taking today off. In an attempt to feel better (I've noticed for the last 4 weeks an increase in frustration and anger while camming) I listened to and repeated positive affirmations, watched a documentary on energy healing, ate clean, drank 60 oz water, and engaged in 32 minutes of a guided self hypnosis on wealth and abundance.
Attachment 51889
I am now ready to tackle an 8 hr shift today. In order to remain calm and keep my vibration high, my plan is to take a 10 minute break each time my frustration levels rise. Intentions are to eat clean, hydrate optimally, and keep vibration as high as possible.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
I'm on day 3 of family vacation & it's fabulous! My daughter & SIL are cooking & letting me sleep 10+ hrs in the baby's room a night. The best part is my 2 yr old granddaughter is super snuggly & cuddly! She's so GD cute! She's so drawn to me. I feel blessed.
I'm having an amazing time. No bad stress at all. Just all kinds of oxytocin.
The only work related stuff I've done is reprogram my subconscious every night by falling asleep to 3 positive affirmations albums looped all night with headphones on.
Last night I slept 11 hrs! & the whole 11 hrs I slept to a Sales Success self hypnosis album that looped the whole time. Fuck! I'm ready to sell my ass off when I get back.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
My upper back hurts like hell. I bruised my left shoudler at main job, had really stressful moments in the last few days and here I am, having pain in the back doing nothing. I am going for a camping trip from saturday till next wednesday and hopefully will be back RECHARGED and ready to kill it on cam.

If you can take a bath with Epsom salt & coconut oil...it may help. My trip has given me all kinds of good energy.
Believe your trip will help you recharge...and it will. Focus on gratitude for everything pleasant that occurs. You need this time.
Godspeed.

Listened to this on my 3.5 hr drive home. I usually feel depressed when arriving home after family vacation, not this time. My avg HR was 75 bpm for the drive & I felt calm & whole when I arrived.
Super excited to fall asleep again to the sales success hypnosis so my next week of 36 hrs is profitable.
I have renewed energy & have my sights set on success.
Happy to be home.

Very impressed with this training session! Avg watts (power) was 139! That's a huge jump from 111 on my last ride. I did use slow twitch muscle fibers today however and stayed around 80-90 rpms so my legs felt totally fine. The ride was more aerobic for me with hardly any burning in the legs.
I did power up for 3 sprints. And DUDE, look at that max power: 453?!?! That's way more than 3 times my body weight. INSANE!
I'm so proud!!!
