Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
My fitness tracker is inaccurate for cardio on the bike. I used my Polar chest strap today & whoa! Killed a 40 min HIT ride. Peak was 175 bpm, average heart rate was 151 bpm, & I recovered down to 139 bpm.
Recovery from high intensity attacks (30 seconds) took 2.5 minutes (175 down to 139). Not bad at all! I'd ideally like recovery from peak (175 bpm) to be 1.5 minutes. Will work on it.
Meditated to cleanse Chakras for 28 min. Heart rate was a bit elevated from the previous HIT session, but I feel really good.
Going to eat clean today, drink 120 oz water, and smile more :D

Yes, please! I'd love some frequencies!
Well done! 6 hrs can be really challenging when it's slow. It sounds like you're being really productive with the down time. I need to update in the 90 Days and Paid thread!
You got it!!! I think we will be sending for about 15- 20 minutes tonight and I am so looking forward to it.
(Having a bit of difficulty doing multi quote)
Your self care sounds really good today and recovery time is bad ass!

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Doing some journaling. With this financial crisis, I've been focused on making money, but I took some time to journal. Feel much better. I really need to journal more, but it's hard to find the time for.

Journaling is part of my morning ritual- it's actually the one part of my self care that I have been consistent on :) And one of my favorites-it helps me get clarity, mentally and emotionally process. One of the cool things about journaling (if you keep them is looking back to see how far you have come.)

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Today was a short work day- cammed about 3 hours and then got coffee with my daughter-it's been close to two weeks since we got together. Hung out during her lunch break and she gave me a tempura roll ( the perks of having a daughter that's a sushi chef.)
Going to go walking with her tomorrow.
Cam was pretty decent today which was good.
Meditated tonight. Did some self reiki and reiki the room before the reiki circle tonight. Tonight's circle was myself and 4 other healers. Felt a lot of tingling energy during the session- another woman said she felt the same thing it was like a vibration.
Taking off tomorrow and Saturday to get some social activity, planning and preparing for next week.
I'm feeling pretty good about life in general. I feel peaceful and content.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
This morning I am saying screw it!
I must take better care of myself. So I am taking care of me first then logging onto cam. My sleep has been crap lately and I feel tired a lot recently. (yesterday I took two naps)
Last night I shut off electronics an hour before bed and read a book before bed.
Meditating this morning and doing an upperbody workout before I log on. I need to build consistency again and self care is where it all starts.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
What's helped me is to stay active both mentally, and physically. Have a support system, even if virtually. I take advantage of online groups, friendships offline, and chatrooms pertaining to our industry to help push me, every day. I also keep goals in mind, and Get outside, socialize, ignore your anxiety and push yourself- and allow yourself to just enjoy the present. Traveling and being an expatriate has caused me to be my hermit self- but also have a life. I also make sure I walk 5x for 1.5h or more and I walk most places. Staying healthy helps greatly. I figure as long as I pay my bills on time, take breaks, enjoy the present, wash my ass, and keep on my goals- the depression and loneliness stay away.

I had to do this early last week. After the gym 3 days in a row I was lethargic so I'd meditate then nap. Listening to & giving your body what it needs is smart.

50 min strength session at the gym felt great. Ate a burger then meditated. I'm ready to stream 6 hrs (already did 2 from 3-5am).
Self care has made streaming 20 hrs total in 2 days possible. I feel great!
Zen Healing deep meditation session felt right

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
About to log on to cam. Had some power surges go on late morning.
Did the usual morning journaling with coffee after a strange dream- which prompted the self care first this morning.
Meditation: Microcosmic Orbit Meditation- one that I learned about in Reiki Master Teacher/ART course. Literally had me buzzing with energy.
Upperbody workout with resistance bands.
Listened to scheduled paraliminal "Success Built to Last."
Decided to be a bit more flexible with my work schedule- need to make some changes to make time for social activity, self care, hobbies etc. (with putting in my time )
A random thought occurred to me this morning is that I am approaching this backwards. I have been working to live, and not living to work.
So instead of chasing money- I am going to let it chase me.
Funny thing happened while I was waiting for the power surges chill out. I went down to the parking garage to check the air in one of my tires. I aired up one of my tires, and as I finished up my neighbor pulled in to the parking garage and was like is that tire still giving you problems? I told him no it was just low on air.
He shoved $60 in my hands and told me to get two new tires. I started to give it back and he shoved it back in my hands and told me to take it from my future ex husband. So maybe money is chasing me today;D

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
^^LOVE THIS! My anxiety has been bad & in an attempt to chill I've been reading good vibrational works.
& look at that: the best thing I've read in 2 hrs. So cool!

One that I am reading right now is "Becoming Supernatural" Dr. Joe Dispenza it is good. Going to work on doing one of the meditations he writes about in it soon.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Gearing up for a few chaotic weeks and was able to meditate and self-soothe today. I spazed out a little but drew myself back in and got on with it, lol. After the hard work is over I'll exercise and a bubble bath to re-energize myself.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Since I could only stream 5 hrs due to terrible bitrate yesterday, I'm skipping the gym so I can stream 10 hrs today. I'm doing a 7-9 am shift then meditating. I'm going to do 2 hr shifts and take a 15 in between to meditate then repeat.
Tech issues have resolved themselves thankfully and my anxiety is non-existent. Thank you Universe.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Whoa! Streamed my 2 hours then fell asleep balancing my Chakras. It wasn't just like an hour either...I laid down to meditate at 9am and woke at 12pm groggy AF. It's really odd as I had slept 8 good quality hours last night.
I think it's the beginning of burn out. I've streamed 26.5 hrs this week so far. I am back on cam, but I have zero energy. I'm trying to stream 7 days this week for contest, but I don't think my body will allow it.
The last time this happened I literally went to the gym then slept on my BF couch alllllll day. He woke me a couple times to feed me then just let me sleep. If I don't listen to my body I'll be in big trouble.
Tentative full day off tomorrow to just self care.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
^^^It's good to listen to our body's and our minds.
This type of work is much harder on our bodies and our mental energies than any other. Self care is a must!

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Yesterday I took off (although originally planned on just taking part of the day off)
Had coffee with my daughter and her grandmother- sat outside one of our favorite coffee shops and chatted for quite sometime. It was good to spend some time with my people :D
Did my morning routine- meditation journaling and paraliminal on Abundant Money Mindset.
Bought a fitbit yesterday to start monitoring heart rate and tracking symptoms with menstrual cycles to see what helps ease the symptoms. Haven't explored all the features yet- but from what I have noticed this is a worthwhile investment.
This morning did my usual coffee with morning journaling, listened to scheduled paraliminal "Simplicity", meditation was Microsmic Orbit Meditation, ate a healthy breakfast, and lower body workout.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AEQ...&index=15&t=0s
This is a great energy booster. What I learned in the Master/ART reiki course is this style of meditation helps to prevent energy leaking from your aura. Here is another version that is really good as well- it is more focused on breathing and moving the energy throughout your chakra system. Also great for sexual energy as well- the creative centers.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ezh-e6GS4eg&t=497s
Camming today and then tonight is the reiki circle. If anyone would like reiki sent to them. Let me know.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Went to the gym and rocked a 35 mi indoor bike interval ride. It was lower intensity and felt good. Average heart rate for the 35 min was 142.
ate, showered, then streamed 2 hrs as I felt fine. Then meditated but fell asleep lol and whoa...it was rad. I had the best lucid dream ever: flying, ninja skills, shooting electricity from my hands. It felt amazing. I even tried to find my BF's apartment to go visit him, but as I flew the scenery changed. Boo. But it was awesome!!!

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Did my 40 hrs. Done. Gonna spend time with BF & get a massage.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
Man, my anxiety is horrible due to dealing with the tech issues on SM the last 8 days. My earnings are very poor & sitting for hours without shows or dropped shows has gotten to me.
Today is just horrible. I've tried to relieve some of the stress by eating right, hydrating, meditating, watching comedy, taking a nap, & just being nice to myself but it won't let up.
I think the only thing keeping me from going over the edge is my savings. However this anxiety is debilitating. I can't even bring myself to do my second shift. Ugh. I'm sure a good night's rest will help. Just gotta hold on til this blows over.

Re: Cammodels: Managing Stress & Self Care
^^^ Hang in there Sha. It does get better just not fun in the moment.
I've dealt with some major tech issues in the past (and experiencing them the last couple of days). I did get a reply back from Streamate Support from the ticket I submitted this morning. This is their response.

After I rearrange my cam room, having my ISP come out tomorrow since my download speeds aren't as high as they should be.

Took a destress break had coffee with the kiddo and went walking on a nature trail.
